We now how devoted that band is, especially at crunch time, and really especially Mike, so I'm sure Mike working on this is just him blowing off some steam and working on something fresh that doesn't have crazy fans and a record label up there asses about it. The album's already on its slow process of making its way to the world. I'm sure the guys are taking a breather before all of the promotion begins and especially the album release and touring.
