Finally, the band released in studio behind the scenes from the making of the From Zero album. This episode shows the process of the making of "The Emptiness Machine" track. Watch below.

So basicly Colin turned into Brad, and Brad turned into Rick Rubin XD Just kidding. But I wonder how much effort Brad put into this record. Whether his production work consisted solely of adding cues at Mike studio.

As far as I am aware Brad also recorded all guitar parts on the record. There are definitely in studio pics of Brad with a guitar.

Brad is just not playing live for the foreseeable future

I was more concerned with his production input than recording guitar tracks. After all, he is described on the album as co-producer along with Colin

Man this isn't enough, the band needs to put out a full documentary that talks about the seven years without linkin park, the whole journey, the process, who else worked w them on studio.

 

teddy swims was a candidate, im sure that bobby amaru also did sessions w the band not just mike.

 

i remember that he and her daughter were in live on tiktok and i asked them what they think about emily her daughter veda was about to talk about em but bobby looked kinda bittersweet and told veda w a nod to not talk about her.

 

bobby would have been a great choice but at the end of the day emily was the chosen one because of what we see in this video: she's a natural female chester.

 

her talent, her vibe, chemistry, she's funny, creative.

I found interesting thing. When I watch this episode I want to know who is the guy working with LP in Eastwood. I saw him in other albums bts. So I researched and found it's Ethan Mates. He is band recording engineer since MTM. When I looked at photos of his home mixing room i noticed it looks familiar. And quick linked it with this photo.

The legendary middle finger thing picture. That was the picture where everybody thought that it was Mike studio even though it was obvious that it wasn't

Yeah. The interior layout is completely different but some bits are similar. This may have confused people.

Man that would've been the icing on the cake and probably would've helped the movie's performance a touch, too. Probably wouldn't have been worth the leak risk even if they moved their comeback timeline up to make the movie though

 

The demo sounds awesome and I really like the "spit you out" lyric, I hope the LPU demos return soon. There's clearly enough material for a couple of year's releases with just the demos and alternate lyrics, let alone the many beats that probably turned into nothing, from 2023 onward. And if they continued to sprinkle in stuff pre-FZ era, there's certainly more than enough

I honestly might prefer the early version/demo with the different note/key, sounds neat.

They completely stopped shooting/uploading any kind of full-length documentary (the 'Inside LIVING THINGS' was a weird Xbox Live exclusive 20-minute short doc that left me very underwhelmed) since ATS which I believe it's still their best 'making of' to this date. I would've LOVED to see OML/FZ and the whole painful but creative progress that they went through with Chester and Emily respectively, I asked it for years but I understood why they prefered the intimacy of the process and chose to post short LPTV clips instead compared to their early young mindset of shooting nearly every single BTS moment.

they never stop shooting. they always shooting every single time they're in the studios. it's just they just don't want to share it with (i'm sure there's a reason behind it). nowadays it's streaming/socmed time. posting short clip/snippets always gets attention and will direct them to the actual contents. 

 

ps: hope someone can compiled all LIVING THINGS behind the scene into one full length videos. as far as i know the footages exists was: INSIDE LIVING THINGS, LPUTV Exclusive BTS, etc. same goes for THE HUNTING PARTY & ONE MORE LIGHT.

Isn't that the exact rumor from Brazil's fans, that the band was filming the content for a documentary like that while in Brazil?

That is not a safe assumption after knowing Mike has recorded a majority of guitars on some of the past LP albums. It is probably a mix on From Zero of Mike and Brad.

That is one of several clues that gave away Emily was the new singer well in advance of the comeback. No fan group or fan online wanted to ruin any special moment the band had planned, and the press did absolutely zero homework on a singer to the point where they seemed to intentionally be deceiving people with names they were throwing out.

About a week, or maybe days before the event they started unfollowing her, while Mike had liked some photos on her account.

 

Beside that there was some talking inside fangroups of people who really knew, but that talking was minimal.

It's like when Emily kept asking about when would the scream from hitc footage be uploaded and Mike kept glancing at her and saying "theres a plan for it, people will see it...eventually" so I do think they are holding off showing everything atm until they have the plans for the next thing and have content to lead into it again so momentum isn't lost.
