hahninator Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Due to popular request, it appears that Linkin Park will be releasing some LPTV footage dealing with the making of The Hunting Party. The first episode is now up, entitled "True Chainz", which is the demo of All For Nothing (featuring Page Hamilton of Helmet). Thoughts? Who is excited? Quote
RogueSoul Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Awesome, finally getting this footage. Hopefully they'll make it another DVD/special thing like they've done in the past. Quote
hahninator Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 Or just post the cool stuff - AFN, GATS, Rebellion, Drawbar would be great. I doubt they'll post every song, even though they definitely have footage for it all. Quote
Skipees Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Is there a reason that the board and its area is the only blurred thing in the video? Quote

hahninator Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 I am surprised this has come almost a year after people have asked for it relentlessly. However, this is the MOST requested thing by the fanbase in the past year, even moreso than DSPs. Quote

This is what I meant, it was mostly used in Page's parts and when Brad standing next to the board, the rest of the video almost doesn't have it. Maybe it's just unintentionally. Quote
Astat Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 I think they used about 1% of Page's guitar work on the final track, lol. Quote
wiiesel Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Great to finally see that footage! Whenever I see studio footage Brad is always so active and involved and excited. Then I always think of how bored he looks when playing on stage. Quote

Good to see he loves music still...you truthfully can't tell in person at M&Gs or on stage (unless Castle of Dance is exploding). Quote

Maybe it's just unintentionally. It's called shallow focus. The handheld camera is a DSLR with a small depth of field, which means that everything except the focused object is out of focus. It's the opposite for the gopro's that are in various places to show the whole room. Quote
martinez Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 01:13 - It seems they are after recording a preview for GATS, you can see the same note: "The Hunting Party 6.14" - that was used for GATS trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L65DvQsb-sE Quote
Tirea Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 There's also a new LPU.TV and LPU meetup in Las Vegas few days before the tour.(check out lpu store, there is info about this meetup) Quote
Biggiee2180@aol.com Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 They'll more than likely post videos of the one where they collated with the featured artists on the album. All For Nothinf, Guilty All The Same, Rebellion, Drawbar and such Quote
Justin Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I hope they post more than ONLY the collaborations. I wouldn't complain though, I'm just glad we have some footage from the studio during the making of THP. AFN is one of my favorite songs on the album so it's cool that they would start there. Quote
Paree Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 That was awesome.I hope they release making of ALITS. Quote
JZLP-Benningstrong Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 It's awesome the way that Fiore records tons of hours and ends up releasing 3 minutes videos. Page played some great stuff, too bad that his parts were muted.. Quote
linkinepi Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 LOL @ Brad rocking his fist while Page is playing at the end of the video, he was excited as fuck throughout the entire day. Quote
DystopianBy Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 (edited) So, I looked at the board... Damn, only 10 songs? It seems like they chose that bunch of songs and just worked on them. First is GATS, then UIG and other songs that we saw on the board. I was kind of "Oh, that's strange". At 3:39 mostly perfectly viewable amount of songs (right column - notes) Oh. I saw couple of songs down with no notes =/ Edited April 18, 2015 by DystopianBy Quote
Tyleronlplive Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 This is practically more footage than we have of everything else combined (GATS video +Instagram videos for UIG and GATS). I'd really like to see what else was on that board, it seems like more than 12 songs, especially only 3 months before the release. Hopefully more songs will be up next, the other collabs would be a must (nut much to show about Rebellion but Drawbar would be fantastic) and I'd love to see the concept behind ALITS. Quote
Mesck547 Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Great to see they're finally releasing the footage, very good episode. It seems more realistic they will release only the making of the collaborations for now, but we'll see. Quote

Actually, part that Page starts playing at 2:57 in video appears in final mix but it's ultra low volume. I've seen your covers and tab of this song and you didn't trancribed it nor played this part, so I would recommend for you to make update. Quote
[AndOne] Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 The video made me curious, so is it actually Page singing the chorus or is he just singing on top of Mike's vocals? Quote
martinez Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Quote That’s Page singing—there’s a double of me in there, but that’s him way up front. - Mike Quote
