I didn't mean it like that. I like the samples.

 

It's just hypothetical, if they wanted to release it officially and the samples were what was stopping them, it wouldn't be too big an issue if they took them out.

 

It is of course fantastic that LPLive made it available.

 

It would just be nice to have a version of the song without the static that affected the CD-Rs that it was on. I know there isn't much and it's mostly towards the end, but nevertheless.

It's because tons of their demos from like mid 2006 and before that were never written with vocals in the demo process. Ever since LP started working with Rick at the Laurel Studio, they started adding vocals to the demos, ''scat vocals'' and stuff like that. They did it ever since.

If that exists, it's gonna be Mike rapping a different verse. I'm gonna put myself out there and say I'm positive Mike didn't write Rakim's verse. Either way I would be curious to hear it.

I'm sure it exists, and I'm sure it will be a different verse. I think I heard somewhere that Rakim wrote the verse.

And for modern day demos, they edit the vocals off of the tracks for the LPU release. Some of those definitely had vocals.

They probably do.. For example, I feel like ''Homecoming'' off of LPU12 definitely had vocals at one point. It sounds like a complete LP song to me and it fits very well with a lot of the songs from MTM that made the record.
