Honestly, not a fan of this idea. Getting the show, yeah, of course. But we don't need ANOTHER cashgrabby thing. The band has been inactive for almost 7 years by now. During this time we got one live album and three major high-priced releases. We fans spent so much money the last couple of years that a release of this show for free would be a nice gesture (if it would happen), tbh. It's cool to live off one's legacy, which is well deserved. But don't overdo it. I know, I'm probably in the minority on this one, but hey

If you mean "Numb" and ITE: No, not really? Sure, like pretty much every LP song back then they have drums, guitars, bass and some electronical elements but both songs differ more than they are similar. Aside from the big power chord driven chorus almost every other element is different. No one compared these two songs with one another back then or put them in direct relation and it's easy to hear why.

Totally agree. This song gave me modern Meteora vibes, too, when it came out. It's the lyrics and vocal delivery that doesn't do it for me.

True. GATS to me is like THE song from THP. it encapsulates everything this album set out to be and was an effective first single for us fans. Or to put it differently: It is more "visceral" than FM. But yeah, FM was more succesful. I guess we can agree that we are glad that UIG was notchosen over these two

"QWERTY" was totally unnecessary on this release. It wasn't some unreleased b-side and on no official album. They should have included GATS instead and waited with "QWERTY" for MTM20 where it belongs. I mean, will they exclude it from MTM20 now? It was such a major song during the pre-release phase when everyone thought it might be on the album.

Just following all of this from afar since I don't care about this release. But I'm happy that it happened on this and not on M20. In a day and age where physical releases are declining it sure sucks to have something that messy.

If there is truth to that we should first see who they found and how it works before getting pitchforks out. A female lead has the potential to make LP interesting again. Something that a sole substitute can't really provide. I said it some time ago but I'm all for it and feel that this would be the best case for a continuation of the band.

Well, not necessarily. Yeah, someone from within the band knows a lot more from direct experience, obviously. But there is always the risk (especially with Linkin Park) of not mentioning crucial things. That's why I enjoyed Jeff Blue's book so much because he wrote about things that you would never hear directly from the band. Sure, there might be omissions and stuff there, too. But his account of how HT came to be was so refreshing because it was more detailed and showed band members in a new light.

Needs to be a six part Netflix kind of thing. Waiting for that for years.

I still think it's an epic song with an atmospheric and intense vibe. The breakdown is Metallica-esque and it escalates further and further until it collapses. Love it.

I don't get it, either. It's almost compulsive. Why does he feel the need to constantly put stuff on Genius? Especially after what happened during M20...

Just going by the working title I'd say it's pretty safe to say that "Harmonic Song" is PMA because its verses are literally build upon flagelatte harmonics (same guitar technique as in ITE).
