Linkin Park to Play Jimmy Kimmel Live on June 19th
Tyleronlplive replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Wastelands seems most likely for what we have heard so far, but they will show 2 songs on TV (unless they cut the broadcast short again) and then play a few others for the crowd. At least 2 of the songs will be from THP and those two will be broadcasted. GATS is almost 6 minutes and might be a little much for the show (10% of the airtime, not counting commercials), so if that is played i would imagine it would be the radio edit that is under 4 minutes. But who knows, Rakim could even come on for a nationwide broadcast if we are lucky. -
So this song is right before UIG on the album, but the ending percussion on one of the 3:15 versions out there sound like a different tempo before it goes into UIG. When it comes out on Spotify I'm sure it will have that ending like UIG did so then we can see if they blend together.

Can we at least spread the word that Brad did not cal, the cops, if this is the worst case scenario? I believe the others saying that he juat mentioned it to security and they were the ones that took the law into consideration. I would believe it if it were true that Brad was involved, but I don't believe he directly called the police.

2014.05.24 - Tucson, AZ - KFMA Day 2014
Tyleronlplive replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Thpught I'd mention that you guys are doing a GREAT job of editing the setlist page and finding answers to everything we don't know. For a show this massive, you guys have scoured through all of the videos and agreed on titles and stuff to make it at leadt somewhat coherent. Random thoughts: I would have just smashed the guitars during POA if I were Brad. His solo on WID was nice, hope that sticks around since it was one of the first songs that could have actually incorporated a solo. I like their ways of innovating portions of songs and elements of others into the setlist, but hope it doesn't become more convoluted than it already is. Two times on the setlist they performed 4 songs that were all shortened. I'm surprised with how quickly all of these different videos have shown up! Now we have almost everything from the show. Hoping this setlist gets perfected for Carnivores. Not as much that they need to change the extent of the songs (but that should be tweaked as well), but the technical difficulties and the flow of everything needs improved. -
2014.05.24 - Tucson, AZ - KFMA Day 2014
Tyleronlplive replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
This might be one of the new setlists to show to a person to introduce them to LP. Diversity in all of the songs. Any reason as to why some songs are being abridged? Runaway, ALTNC, Crawling, all shortened just to fit in some more songs or what? -

I kept thinking that it was a 2 hour time difference from EST but now I see that it is 3 hours. I was hoping that I's be able to find out after my long shift at work but here we go! -
Sounds like Phoenix hit a few sour notes at 2:44ish
-
I think All for Nothing was the one I was the most excited for because it has vocals from Hamilton (even though I don't listen to Helmet), but now A Line in the Sand is the most exciting because it is the longest.
-
So does this mean Joe/Brad/Phoenix had very little input on Rebellion?
-
The post said 1200 PST which = 0300 EST. At least I think it does, I probably just need sleep
-
To my fellow East Coast LP fans: the album pre order and Until It's Gone won't be on Until It's Three AM. So I won't be up by then, i'll probably check it out in the morning. Then again, the hype often prevents me from sleeping lol

The Hunting Party Tracklist + Tom Morello Guest Spot
Tyleronlplive replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
I think I liked the fake tracklisting better, but I hope i'm not disappointed with Morello's addition, the styles of each may clash depending how they produce Drawbar. The fake tracklist had more songs that seemed legit, so it's surprising that this one is more different. Warrior was most likely changed to War, and Wastelands jumped around once again in the naming department. For some reason, I'm feeling anti-hype and I don't know why :/ -
Things LP Should Have Done To Make Songs Better
Tyleronlplive replied to RogueSoul's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Make the strings actually audible on I'll Be Gone. Every time i hear about Owen Pallet's contribution to one of their LT songs, I think of Castle of Glass because it is so much more noticeable, but that was all Mike. On second thought, just replace IBG with a finished version of Primo: add the strings, improved lyrics, and more real drums -
The ones that I put in bold have all had their names seen or mentioned at least once. Some have been reported by the early listening parties (like Until It's Gone) and some are names that we saw in the short Recording of GATS video (like Line in the Sand). The names that are not in bold are new titles that we haven't heard before. I may be wrong on this, but I think "Final Masquerade" is the only song title from the video that isn't on the list. Not sure if they may have dropped it or changed the name, kind of like how "The Wastelands" became "Wastelands of Today". As for the new names, "Viserion", "The Hunt", and "March of the Dead" seem to be promising. The connection of "Viserion" and GoT will hopefully be a good combination. "The Hunt" makes sense as a title, even though they have never used the album name as a track title too. "March of the Dead" sounds like an awesome name for a closing song. First thing that came to mind was Nine Inch Nails' "March of the Pigs". HYPE

Rob Cavallo produced Green Day's American Idiot, one of my all-time favorite albums, really excited to see how that track turns out especially. Next, we find out the entire tracklist, song lengths, and album cover
-
What's the possibility of more collabs on the album? I'd personally like to see some who don't put the current members to shame. Like maybe a guest pianist or composer. A guest piano player would be a dream for them

Linkin Park adds Tucson, AZ festival for May 24
Tyleronlplive replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
They need to return to pittsburgh, but I think they'd need more shows around that area before they hit this region. Going from Arizona to the Northeast so quickly would never happen -
Good, it makes more sense because Mike basically led into WID right after SOTD, just not with anything like the album interlude after SOTD.
-
That's what I thought, don't see exactly how it fits in with the song titles though.
-
Isn't that an old picture?

The Ultimate Working Titles Thread
Tyleronlplive replied to lpliveusername's topic in Everything Linkin Park
Ok time for unnecesary speculation: I wonder what the song titles with dates meant, like 6.14.1997. Funny coincidence that the preview video for Guilty All The Same had the pad with "The Hunger Party 6.14" in it, but I doubt there is any connection. -
Brad did say that it was conceptually driven, I'm just hoping it isn't too heavy on a story (like actually making characters in the album) and stays focused on a topic. Kind of like The Downward Spiral (which is coincidentally in your tag), it's about the destruction of a man, but almost every song can be held separately.
-
One song gets some more soloing work from Brad, which doesn't surprise me since he said almost every song has one. Curious about Joe's part in Wasteland. And it looks like Rob has some work to do for all the songs, just hoping that he brings what he did in GATS. I'd also like to mention that Waiting For The End's working title was Meadowlands. Wastelands will be a bulldozer of a track. The names, with this in particular, sound like Transformers:Age of Extinction. And 8 songs plus GATS gives us 9 songs on the album already. With the album coming out soon (any true confirmation of 6.14? I see it everywhere but the fansites) I don't think they will drop any of those. There will surely be more of them on the album.
