    ...?

Well, if the guy copied only the setlists, doesn't the band have the "full rights" to those? I mean they put up pictures of the setlists within the DSP's after all. I would say it's free game. In my opinion, if he copied the show notes and all that it would be a completely different issue. Edit: To Nameless, Liz sure is a wonderful lady.
  2. I agree with you. It would have been cool to hear some new things here and there but my point was, you can't blame the band directly for the fact that you knew their setlist every night because of your own choices. They are out there working hard and putting a performance on while we sit here and collect their bootlegs, evaluate the setlists and suggest some new ideas for them to try out. Edit: I forgot that they have been adding a lot of stuff, specifically what Gigascythe mentioned below my comment. Still yet, a concert is designed to impress the people before them on the night of the show. It is not their job to impress bootleggers, setlist evaluators and all that other fancy stuff. Hopefully you get my point by now.
  3. A couple possible reasons for your claims: A ) You refer to LPLive at your own discretion to know exactly what songs have been played all tour. Therefore, it's not the fault of Dead By Sunrise that you ruined your own surprises. B ) You went to see the band with your hard earned money more than once. If this is the case, I find it quite sad that someone would attend a concert and criticize what songs they are playing each time instead of just enjoying the show.
  4. Sex Art was established in 1989. (Which featured Jonathan Davis of Korn) Korn was established in 1993, when Jonathan Davis joined the band called Creep. You could pretty much say that without Sex Art, Korn would not exist - especially considering that Blind was their first single. Regarding the controversy with the lawsuit on the song, Korn did change the majority of the song structure but it was still pretty lame to not mention Dave DeRoo or Ryan Shuck at all. There's no announced date yet, just the typical "COMING SOON!"
  5. A has surfaced by MenaceMusicGroup, showcasing a DVD soon releasing with live performances and music from a band called Sex Art. Sex Art was founded in 1989 by: Jonathan Davis (Korn) Dennis Shinn (The Drug) Dave DeRoo (Adema) Ray Solis (Juice) Ryan Shuck (Orgy, Julien-K and Dead By Sunrise) With that said, it should be noted that Ryan Shuck helped write the original guitar riffs for the song Blind, which was reworked and made famous by Korn. (In case you missed the link, .)
  6. LOL so true.
  7. I'm surprised that no one from LPL has contacted the band and attempt to confirm what the hell they are saying in the Esaul (1999) video. I was always 99% sure on the breakdown, Chester said "Soon, the aztec moon will heat my room - heal my wounds". It makes no sense, but I have no idea what else he could be saying there. It's one of the least important things but I remember it being a huge discussion back in the day and it was just...forgotten. (No pun intended)
  8. Holy webspace!
  9. Sounded pretty awesome man! Each one was epic. The only thing I didn't think matched was the Michael Jackson track. His vocals sounded out of tune with the track you used but yeah dude... I give it a 9.5/10
  10. Well hey, it beats that Devore, CA (2004) show I recorded via microphone -> house phone -> cell phone. Ah, to be young and stupid again.
  11. True. The guy is a beast, no doubt.
  12. I find it quite amusing that you guys are worried about Chester's singing abilities farting out. This is why auto-tune is in existence. Astat even kindly pointed out a while back that it was clearly used in Crawling when Chester was still early in his game. Which brings up another point in your defense though, you can't really auto-tune a scream I don't think. Maybe I am wrong. The screams on Given Up sounded pretty brutal though, comparable to his early work. Live? Not so much. He's getting older guys. He's still a badass frontman, that's not gonna change anytime soon.
  13. There have been cases where bands aren't allowed to even stream from a webcam during a festival show. For example, Korn streams their shows on Modlife often and "streaming live performances" are part of the premium membership. Let's just say there were a lot more shows "not allowed" than expected. I will never know the reasoning, but it's definitely there.

    Mike's Answer

That's why I said they could have been pissed off about it ahead of time, while hoping they would have changed it when the song was released. I'm sure someone could have easily told them news such as: "Hey, I heard there is a fundraising with Miley Cyrus and other acts on it, using "Download to Donate" as their slogan." Edit: Just trying to find something more credible instead of just assuming they disliked the people involved. People might look at that as "Wow, kinda selfish if they truly care about helping others".

    Mike's Answer

Who's the wise guy who claims I am not a 'true true LP fan' for not liking Minutes to Midnight? Edit: Here's my input on why they didn't join the "We are the World" campaign. One, you guys might be right that they didn't want to be involved with Miley Cyrus or Justin Bieber...but I think it's more to do with the fact that they use the exact same "Download to Donate" liner to help get their recognition. After all, Mike said himself "Music For Relief is not affiliated with the We Are The World 25 campaign. I hope they change their tag line to avoid confusion." It's plausible that they pissed them off ahead of time, and I can see why.
  16. Should be exciting.
  17. Why don't you go ahead and do us a favor. Change your name to LadyNancy, so I can officially call you negative Nancy. =)
  18. Damn you for not being famous!
  19. Damn, that would have been hilarious!
  20. To back up my claims even further, I noticed Chester posted this on Twitter following the questions. "So late last night I asked you guys some questions about DBS. I got alot of great feedback and I want to thank all of you. Most of you guys like the record. Some don't. What's really interesting is that almost all of you said that it wasn't promoted very well. So. With that said. Help us do the job that our record company was supposed to do. Tell people about the record. If we know people are listening than we will tour, and make more music. I'm really proud of what we created in DBS" Mmm... I'll drop it now. You guys know I like getting under your skin. Don't take it to heart.
  21. If there ends up being a section made for this, I will make Hahninator polish the corn on my toes for having me make a site and then not use it. P.S. (I don't really have corn on my toes)
  22. 3:38 Right when the bridge ends and the chorus is supposed to come back in, Rob comes in a bit too soon. I think he did this at two shows actually.
  23. Edited:Wow, from 2000+? You narrowed a big list there! Anyways, here are some bands from 2000+ that you might like: Defined as Rock: (2000)Wolfmother (had to grow on me) (2000)Hurt (2001)Audioslave (2003)Arcade Fire (2008)Scars on Broadway Defined as Nu-Metal/Death Metal: (2000)Otep (2001)Adema (2009)Flymore (obvious ripoff of Korn but sound cool) Defined as Pop-Rock/Pop-Punk/Alternative/Screamo: (2001)Tokio Hotel (had to grow on me as well) (2004) Circa Survive (Pointed out by FaiNt) (2010?) Lower Definition (Pointed out by FaiNt) There are a lot of great bands out there that you shouldn't shut off simply because they are pre-2000. Most of the bands I REALLY love started out in the 90's and still put out great music.
  24. I had actually talked to Hahninator once about running an extension to the website specifically for "bloopers" but I don't think it appealed much interest. I think it's a great idea though and hopefully more people will chip in.
