  2. Now why would you go and lie to yourself?
  3. I like how you contributed to the ignorant comments.
  4. As far as the Linkin Park material goes, I've never been a huge fan of remixing two already existing tracks, I prefer to hear a complete redesign of the sound but obviously that's not 100% possible for things like this due to no master tracks being available at your demand. For what it is, it was all seamless. You can tell you had some care for what you were doing, instead of just slapping random things together. I really like how you did overlapping sounds at the end of each song as well to make it sound professional. I personally think you should have mashed the Nine Inch Nails material with Linkin Park straight up. That would have been really cool but I'm in no means bashing this, I'm just giving you my thoughts. I think it's great for what it is.
  5. Barely at that.
  6. A couple years behind, love it though.
  7. Nothing wrong with referencing professionalism. We need some of it around here. (No offense to the people who actually give a damn.)
  8. As if you aren't known to brag?
  9. The radio has always been about what is popular or what people want to hear. They aren't going to play something that people don't like...they lose listeners by doing that. As far as Lil Wayne goes, I hope you are right...because I hear Lil Wayne everywhere I go. Maybe the place I live just sucks (MISSOURI AFTER ALL ) And no, it's not Linkin Park's responsibility to please someone who likes their older style. Facts are facts though. They aren't who they were 10 years ago..but who is?
  10. My definition of the "hardcore fans" are the people who stuck around with them when they were an emerging UNIQUE band and gave them the support they needed to get out to the public. Where are they now? Making music that is the EXACT opposite of what got them into the business. Does their music suck? Hell no. It's great. Some of the most beautiful music I have ever heard...but I don't think it's up to par to their early work at all. I can compare them to any other band now. What happened to being able to define what each band member was doing? That's what these people are talking about. They want Linkin Park, not ChesterandMikeonaKeyboard. As far as Hybrid Theory goes, look at the time that album came out. It was a time where people WANTED different. Guess what though? Times changed. Listen to the radio and await Lil Wayne who sounds like Autotune running on Windows 95. That's the popular music of today. You think Linkin Park is going to make a song that sounds outdated when competing with this bullshit? This is selling out, my friend. Linkin Park has a career called a band. I STILL don't understand why everyone puts this negative connotation on the term "sellout". How do you think they make money off their music? Sitting in a room and making fantastic poetry while combining each band members personal music influences? Oh wait, that was 2000. Edit: Maybe I am just getting older and the younger generations definition of music all sounds the same. I recall in the 90's up until the early 00's, every band I heard was pretty original.
  11. Which people did with Hybrid Theory. Then they decided to make more radio friendly songs into a compact album named Minutes to Midnight, which boosted their popularity even further because it was more appealing to the ears of the masses. What's more important, pleasing the "hardcore" fans or making money for your career? I can see why they would choose the money route, seeing as they make only 1 cent off of every album sale as it is (on top of illegal music downloads). Pleasing a small amount of fans who want them to return to their roots is not selling out, nor is it likely to happen. I remember back in 2001, I would ask anyone if they heard of Linkin Park before...their initial response was "Yeah! They did that song In The End, right?" In The End was a catchy tune and more pleasing to the ears than One Step Closer. (my point with this is that the majority of people are more likely to remember the easy listening tunes) It's a career. It's obvious they are going to "sell out". I can't think of a single band who has not done so AND grown in popularity. When you are out playing local pubs for the sake of pleasing people, it's different than signing a contract to market your music. You can't market your music too well if the majority of your audience isn't buying the shit. Obviously I don't have a tag on my shirt that says "Professional in Marketing" but that's just how I see it. Edit: Oh, I give Blackbirds a 9/10. It reminded me of Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Minutes to Midnight smashed together...I liked the vibe of it.
  12. I guess that's the beauty of television. It doesn't have to have a point for people to watch it. (Refer to 90% of TV shows on the air today.)
  13. Windows OS Users: 1. Move your mouse cursor to the top right of the browser window you wish to close. 2. Move your mouse cursor over the X. 3. Left-click to close the undesired browser window. Mac OS Users: 1. Move your mouse cursor to the top right of the browser window you wish to close. 2. Move your mouse cursor over the X. 3. Left-click to close the undesired browser window. Linux OS Users: 1. Move your mouse cursor to the top right of the browser window you wish to close. 2. Move your mouse cursor over the X. 3. Left-click to close the undesired browser window. You can close the window out on ALL OF THEM?! This means you have a "choice"! Who would have thought?
  14. Well, I assume because of the fact they have an entire page dedicated to Julien-K on the main page. LPLive encompasses all of that. That's my only guess.
  15. was a great song. I mean, you can't get more Linkin Park than that.
  16. Not sure how accurate this is, but RIAA states the following: Linkin Park: 19 million certified units in sales. Korn: 16.5 million certified units in sales. and well...I don't see Blink 182 on the list. Correct me if I am wrong. Bottom line is, they are all pretty well known. You mention Linkin Park, Blink 182 or Korn, you can bet that everyone has heard of them.

    Mmm....
  18. You guys never do anything right... -calls Mike Shinoda- Well, he just told me that it's a speculation on LPLive right now. What do you guys think?

I know what you mean man, but it's almost like asking for credits on a royalty free sound clip. You put it out to share with the world (which is highly appreciated!), you aren't asking for profit, it's really fair game once you put it up there. Edit: I also understand that you are cool with it, I'm just pointing out what law covers from what I know. Of course, I'm not majoring in law school. I just pretty much gather that everything on this site except the design is pretty much free for everyone to use.

Well, if the guy copied only the setlists, doesn't the band have the "full rights" to those? I mean they put up pictures of the setlists within the DSP's after all. I would say it's free game. In my opinion, if he copied the show notes and all that it would be a completely different issue. Edit: To Nameless, Liz sure is a wonderful lady.
  22. I agree with you. It would have been cool to hear some new things here and there but my point was, you can't blame the band directly for the fact that you knew their setlist every night because of your own choices. They are out there working hard and putting a performance on while we sit here and collect their bootlegs, evaluate the setlists and suggest some new ideas for them to try out. Edit: I forgot that they have been adding a lot of stuff, specifically what Gigascythe mentioned below my comment. Still yet, a concert is designed to impress the people before them on the night of the show. It is not their job to impress bootleggers, setlist evaluators and all that other fancy stuff. Hopefully you get my point by now.
  23. A couple possible reasons for your claims: A ) You refer to LPLive at your own discretion to know exactly what songs have been played all tour. Therefore, it's not the fault of Dead By Sunrise that you ruined your own surprises. B ) You went to see the band with your hard earned money more than once. If this is the case, I find it quite sad that someone would attend a concert and criticize what songs they are playing each time instead of just enjoying the show.
  24. Sex Art was established in 1989. (Which featured Jonathan Davis of Korn) Korn was established in 1993, when Jonathan Davis joined the band called Creep. You could pretty much say that without Sex Art, Korn would not exist - especially considering that Blind was their first single. Regarding the controversy with the lawsuit on the song, Korn did change the majority of the song structure but it was still pretty lame to not mention Dave DeRoo or Ryan Shuck at all. There's no announced date yet, just the typical "COMING SOON!"
