  1. I've followed Linkin Park since Hybrid Theory released, I knew everything I could possibly figure out about the band and supported them, promoted them, went to their concerts, stamped their stickers all over my guitar and amplifier, had to deal with high school drama simply because I listened to them....and you are telling me I don't belong here because I didn't like their change (Minutes to Midnight)? You can love a band but still not like some of their work. I have never turned my back on them, I have stuck around and always will to hear something new from them. Whoever was in charge of putting out the clips did in fact have me disappointed. Whoever says music sucks at all is a fool, regardless of the artist.
  2. I can still hate on Minutes to Midnight though.
  3. I'm very impressed by this. I was highly disappointed with Minutes to Midnight but this is great.
  4. Thanks
  5. Anyone know who is playing right now?
  6. I find the genre of music amusing that is playing before we hear The Catalyst.
  7. He is correct. There is no auto-tune on this track. I was explaining to you the difference between auto-tune and pitch correction.
  8. Dude...every single professional recorded song you have heard from the mid 90's (might even be earlier than that) until now has probably had some sort of pitch correction done to it. It's nothing new...it's been a popular recording method for a VERY long time. It's when bands tour that they show their true talent, if they can actually sing or not. EDIT: Extra info) Autotune is like a pre-generator..you sing into it and it automatically corrects your voice to a certain pitch (which is where the robotic sound comes from that T-Pain likes to use). Pitch correction is taking a flat note that the artist sang and tweaking it to sound like they were flawless in their performance. There's a complete difference in the two.
  9. lol I wasn't attacking you bro. I was just saying, that's not pure studio talent on the track..there IS pitch correction involved.
  10. There's pitch correction, not autotune.
  11. OMFG. This pwns. Edit: REALLY happy with this. Much better than the vibe the snippets were giving.
  12. It's more of the fact that people (myself included) liked Linkin Park because of how they sounded when the band started. Now they have completely changed and a lot of the people that loved their heavier roots are disappointed with this new direction. It happens.
  13. Yeah, that's a GREAT idea because we all know LP fans voted based on pure talent. /sarcasmoff
  14. I didn't mean to sound rude if I did, I was taking a stab at how America is. There's probably just stuff that was on Minutes to Midnight. I don't imagine it's anything too bizarre but just enough to get a warning label.
  15. I highly doubt there would be a warning for the use of "God" for a North American band. That would be the last thing to get a sticker for lol
  16. Lyrics are thoughts on the vocalists mind. Why should a vocalist not be allowed to speak their mind based on what we decided was a "bad" word?
  17. It's just funny to me because every time I talk about how much Linkin Park has changed, I get the same response of "THEY GROW OLDER AND THEIR MUSIC CHANGES STFU!", yet...we have grown older as well and haven't matured enough to handle a simple word of expression? Sad, indeed. I hope their lyrics bring out the tears in every soul in existence.
  18. So when Linkin Park actually HAD angry music, there was no cussing. Now Linkin Park isn't making aggressive music anymore but they decide to cuss and everyone is upset about it. I love change.
  19. Lyrics from Wretches and Kings Between the sparkling rays of the sun, We will fly our way like turtle-shells into the abyss, Through fiery mountains and cascading treasures for none, We will f***ing fight until the rabbit king is f***ing missed. Ha! Fooled you! Yeah, that was really lame...I'm sorry.
  20. What we tend to forget is that every word we speak was meaningless at one time. We all decided as a society what was "good" and "bad". It's not like saying "FUCK!" ruins the whole album. Yes, I just went there.
  21. Nice. I really like their lyrical approach so far this time around.
  22. It means, if you love dance music, you would think The Catalyst is one of Linkin Park's best songs. It was a sneaky approach at bashing the song, without truly saying the hateful words I was thinking...because in the back of my mind I think it will be a cool song but it's not going to top their epic songs from the past. Hey, it's my opinion...don't judge me. D:
