  1. Meh. What Chester and Mike add to the song is fine with me. Everything else about this track is extremely forgettable. I've tried several times to get into Aoki's stuff and I've pretty much come to the conclusion that he's a great guy who puts on good shows and is smart at marketing himself...but he's just not particularly good at the kind of music that he makes. Pretty much any of the other "big-name" artists in the house/EDM style and all its subgenres (Avicii, Diplo, Skrillex, Zedd, etc.) do it better than Aoki. This song is basically one semi-interesting musical motif that SHOULD be about a 30 second portion of a bigger piece of music, that's somehow been drawn out to over 5 minutes in length. There isn't anything inherently BAD about what's in the song, it's just that what's there has no business lasting for as long as it does. The song really goes nowhere. ALTNC was way better. ...Now watch Geki accuse me of only liking Hybrid Theory and Meteora. Must be true, I'm on LPL right?
  2. This looks and sounds like a bunch of guys who are too drunk to remember how to competently play music...and given that it's the RESQHOUSE, that's probably exactly the case.
  3. None of the BOW songs were acoustic...
  4. Because Chester Bennington is ten times the songwriter Ryan Shuck will ever be. The first Julien-K album had a handful of good songs on it, and they have not written a single good one since. When the most talented person in your band is your hired-hand keyboard player and he quits after one album because he doesn't think the music you're writing is any good, you might want to objectively think about whether or not what you're doing is any good at all.
  5. Nope. First time to my knowledge that Chester's been seen with a Gibson acoustic. Probably one of Dean or Robert's guitars.
  6. Benjamin was actually doing some bass teching for Robert. Dean's guitar tech has been with him for like 17 years or something crazy like that, lol.
  7. Chester frequently sings at the absolute top end of his range in Linkin Park, lots of choruses with high B's and even a few C's here and there. Scott's natural vocal register sits about half an octave below Chester's, so what's high for Scott is pretty comfortable for Chester, and he doesn't have to push himself too hard most of the time. Some of the stuff on High Rise is higher, but they're only playing Out of Time live right now anyway.
  8. They're all available in the U.S.
  9. Originally uploaded in 2006/2007 again, check the dates of the comments. I understand why it seems odd that these are popping back up at this particular point in time, but it's not exactly evidence that there's actually any new music on the horizon (even though I believe there will be). FM's Youtube channel may have gone completely un-managed for years and they're just now getting around to restoring all of their old uploads that were lost.
  10. Those aren't even new uploads, they're the same ones that have been on FM's Youtube channel for years (there's no way the RTN Highlight Reel video got 11 million views in 10 hours). Almost everything on the FM channel was removed during the WB/Youtube dispute in 2007 or so. We've seen in the past that Youtube gives high-profile music artists special editing/uploading options normal users don't have though (such as the New Divide music video on LP's channel being changed to the "non-Transformers version" in October but retaining the original upload date and view count), probably just another case of something similar, and they restored old videos for them.

  12. Had most of the U.S. tour not gotten cancelled, I would have thought they'd be changing some stuff for these shows, but I think at the very least they'll stick with the same setlists (with FTI/APFMH) for the U.S. festivals. Maybe change a couple small things for Europe.
  13. I have Spiritfall's entire discography somewhere...as in "somewhere on one of the two full spindles of unlabeled data CDs on my bookshelf" somewhere...
  14. Ehh...depends. Sometimes I think Ethan gets a little too carried away with polishing things up in post-production. The amount of pitch correction on the vocals on the Monterry 2012 DVD is pretty excessive. The quality of the DSP mixes varied a ton over the years, I think 2008-2009 were the best. Does anybody have Mark's 2007/2008 DSP "best moments" compilations from years ago? There's a lot of stuff that could be added to this thread from those.
  15. No...8/24/2007. I'm literally listening to it right now.
  16. Busta got kicked off of Interscope in the middle of Projekt Revolution in 2008 because he got into a big argument with Jimmy Iovine. They pulled all his tour funding, so he had to go home. They also retained the rights to We Made It since it had already been released as a promo single on their label, so he couldn't release it on the album once he signed with Universal/Flipmode (the same went for the other promo single he released, Don't Touch Me). And yeah, he changed that album title a ton. It was Before Hell Freezes Over, then it was Back on My Bullshit (or B.O.M.B.), then it was Blessed, then he left Interscope and it reverted back to the second title, but as "Back on My B.S." instead. If there's some type of album advance with We Made It on it, it should be under the title "Blessed."
  17. I always forget that the Moscow DSP ended up being released later on.
  18. Points of Authority, Paris 2008 - only time Mike did the High Road verse over the intro. Shadow of the Day, Mansfield 2007 - Brad screws up the beginning of the first guitar solo, improvises, and ends up coming up with a really cool alternate solo on the spot. There's only one DSP of New Divide with the "Moscow Intro," right?
  19. ^Pretty sure you had the wrong link on your CTRL+V there...
  20. THANK YOU for the info about the City Clay track. There was always a bizarre lack of information about that track out there, good to have that settled. Not sure exactly who all is behind that "System" song, but I have a feeling "B. Roman" in the comments saying the chorus has Chester on it is Broman from LPA...who is well-known for having a fairly Chester-like singing voice. It's probably him doing the vocals and he's just trolling.
  21. If they're taking pre-orders for tickets but are "still negotiating," that pretty much confirms that the whole thing is fake IMO. The same thing has happened several times before with Chinese concerts.
  22. All Dead By Sunrise live performances of End of the World had an extended outro. This is mentioned for performances of Let Down/Inside of Me, but not EOTW for some reason.
  23. Because they continued working on the song after Chester joined the band, just like Esaul, Rhinestone, Stick N Move, Slip, etc...? *Edit* Thread didn't take me to the most recent post, didn't see the other replies.
  24. 13th, 20th, or 27th. U.S. record industry just switched from Tuesday album releases to Friday to be in line with the international markets.
  25. What I meant was that the "chirp" may have been a mistake that happened when Mike was initially recording the demo, which he noticed right away and liked, so it ended up being kept for all subsequent revisions of the song.
