  1. BID and COG are both important songs for the Cardon Children's Medical Center. Look at the video in the main post and watch this video. Those two were bound to be played at this event.
  2. Your post all credibility when you cited the LPA Wiki lol.
  3. Song selection-wise, yes that was better. But overall, Set B begs to differ.
  4. Not Bucket Of Weenies. "Chester performed six songs with friends. His backing band included Elias Andra (former Julien-K and Dead By Sunrise drummer), Steve Stevens (guitarist for Billy Idol), and Billy Morrison (guitarist for Billy Idol and Camp Freddy). This is the only time this lineup has joined him live."
  5. Because I manage this thread, and I forgot to add it
  6. Lack of variation between the two - there's literally five songs that are just rotated around, and barely any change to the overall organization of the set (same closing, same opening, etc.)
  7. The only kinda-special thing I can see happening is possibly a performance of The Messenger, but that is still somewhat of a longshot.
  8. Linkin Park is heading to Scottsdale, Arizona on their next stop on their short one-off show tour, to perform a show at the 5th Annual 'Stars Of The Season' Gala. While this will be the band's first time performing at the event, Chester has been there for years, playing with various acts. In 2011, Dead By Sunrise was the headliner, performing an acoustic set featuring songs such as 'Morning After' and 'Crawl Back In'. The set also featured a few covers - 'I'll Try Not To Destroy You' and 'Palm Springs Reset' by Julien-K, and 'The Messenger' by Linkin Park. In 2012, Chester performed with some friends, playing some of his favorite songs, including 'My Generation' by The Who, 'Wonderwall' by Oasis, and 'Helter Skelter' by The Beatles. At the most recent performance in 2013, Chester performed with Stone Temple Pilots, performing songs like 'Church On Tuesday', 'Out Of Time', and 'Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart'. Chester has been an avid supporter of the event since it's debut in 2010, and he continues to work with Cardon Children's Medical Center at every opportunity he gets! Yesterday, the band performed for Guitar Center's 50th Anniversary, performing a full run-down of Set A. Nothing of major interest occurred at the show, besides Brad making a triumphant return to the stage after suffering an ear infection that prevented him from traveling to Brazil. The show will be shown on DirecTV on December 12, we'll get more details on that soon. It seems like the band will be recycling Set A and Set B from the Carnivores Tour in Europe, given that they don't have much time to rehearse anything else (maybe 3 or 4 days in which they can utilize left in October - Chester has to fly out to Connecticut to perform on Halloween night with Stone Temple Pilots). Who knows, maybe the band will still surprise us! Miracles DO happen - in 2010, after reading a thread on LPLive, the band brought back 'Lying From You' and 'Leave Out All The Rest' without any rehearsal! Let's get that #BringBackAPFMH going! While this is not a performance, check out this video - the Cardon Children's Medical Center music video for 'Burn It Down'! It features some of their kids and staff singing and dancing to the song. And who can forget the 'Mini Mike' during the bridge? Definitely an awesome way to raise awareness and thank Linkin Park for their work with the program. We don't know much about what will happen with this show - a full set or not. The band surprised us yesterday and broke the Guitar Center Session tradition of performing a select few songs and performing a full set (though that may be because of how big of an event it was for Guitar Center). Chester's never performed a full set at the show (the only comparable figure for this is really only STP, where they performed 9 songs as opposed to 19). We'll have to wait and find out what the band decides to do! Who's excited for the show? This show is limited-access only, so it's likely that we won't get too much information on it right away. The band's good friend, Stryker from KROQ will be emceeing the event for the third year in a row! It's always great to see the band working for such a noble cause such as this. In other Linkin Park news, the tracklist from the score of Joe's movie, MALL has recently started leaking, including songs such as 'Luna', 'Ammosick', and a bunch of other new pieces of music. A bunch of tour rumors have started popping up, including a Winter North American Tour, a performance at Rock In Rio Brazil and Sao Paulo in September, a summer European Tour, and an Australasian Tour, which could be the band's first performance in India. After this show, Chester heads to Connecticut for a show with Stone Temple Pilots, and then the band will head to Zurich, Switzerland to kick off their European Tour! We'll keep you updated on the show, check back here or follow us on Twitter for updates! 9. Updated the main post with setlist. Don't know if anything of interest happened.
  10. Upside to a full set: We'll probably only get half of it at most on the TV broadcast.
  11. I've never been more excited for a soundtrack. ILLESH - is it the computer Shazam or the phone Shazam you're using?
  12. Next election. Everyone has to band together next time, we can't vote for other things
  13. oh. It's Friday, my brain has officially turned off
  14. Oh my god I love you all. #DOWNWITHcastleofglas!
  15. If the good people of this website help me get castle of glas to lose this I will love you all forever.
  16. Fuck, I don't know what to do here, so I'll promptly fire shots at Nick. castle of glas
  17. I like how everything I've said has become "THIS ENTIRE SITE IS NOW 30STM OMG" I won't argue to the point where I'll say you're wrong, but consider this: 1) So getting a Grammy almost 10 years ago and performing with Paul McCartney makes you a big band? It makes you a name in music, for sure, but that's not an accurate saying. Slipknot, Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters - all Grammy-award winning bands. They haven't performed with Paul McCartney - are they not as big as LP? Even bands who HAVEN'T won a Grammy (e.g. My Chemical Romance, Incubus) are still huge bands. 2) 30STM is definitely about as relevant in today's society, maybe not AS much as Linkin Park but definitely a close second. Maybe not in Geki's World, but if you searched something up on a news website, something about 30STM/Jared Leto would pop up. Leto's a household name, just as much as In The End is a song everyone knows. And if you care to argue, look at their touring schedule, at the very least. In this month ALONE their playing places LP hasn't even considered treading foot in. As much as Linkin Park wants to do something, they have the capability of doing so. MARS tours probably 2 or 3 times as much as LP does, and has the power to bring the big shows to the fans (VyRT). They're not even selfish about it - their sharing that opportunity with others, LP being one of them. MARS has a different history than LP, so it's unfair to say that they can truly do whatever they want. Maybe they have to push certain things because they HAVE NO RECORD LABEL. They literally have a team of maybe 30 people who do promotion/touring/merchandise/etc. They have to everything INDEPENDENTLY, whereas Warner Bros. knows LP is their top seller and will continue to push that fact. 3) "I guess you guys should start giving us news on Hawthorne Heights then, too, because LP toured with them before as well." Link a Newswire thread directly dedicated to 30STM (i.e. no mention or relation to Linkin Park). Then you'll have a point. A post by me does not qualify as the entire site reporting on 30STM shows/news. 4) "Who cares if Jared Leto won an Oscar too btw, good for him, but that has absolutely nothing to do with MUSIC and is completely separate from 30STM as a whole." Is it really, though? Have you not noticed that his popularity AND MARS's popularity have skyrocketed due to the Oscar? I'm sure if Mike or Chester won an award of that caliber (as a solo artist/actor), Linkin Park hype would increase as well. 5) "I have no idea how Hahninator could have allowed his Linkin Park fansite to become so overridden by 30STM and Jared Leto posts." He hasn't, and the site is still Linkin Park. My three sentences used as a basis of comparison in this thread. It's the people who are too immature to actually take their time and read the goddamn point I'm making who are fueling this LP/30STM thing. I'd like to quote a man known as Skipees, since no one likes to take my word for anything. The fact is that all this 30STM talk wouldn't be as prominent as it is if people stopped arguing about it. I brought it up to prove a point, and because you argued it, it had to keep being brought up.
  18. Definitely a diffferent vocal take on Luna. Still beautiful. I wonder, is that on of the other two songs Mike mastered for MALL? Pretty sure the entire fanbase would shit itself if that got released.
  19. I approve of your new username, Mr. Duck. Iridescent.
  20. Welcome to the site! For MFR Volunteering, check out this link. You won't be able to get a guaranteed seat but I'm pretty sure you get at least lawn. There are a lot of people who've volunteered for MFR here, they'll probably be of more help than I will. Hahninator, AndOne, Check Cheese, Preston would be good people to talk to. There are a bunch of others so it would take awhile to list them all Not sure how much luck you'll have, though - every German show except Hamburg is sold out at this point. Your best bet if you don't get MFR is a resale ticket.
