  1. I think the song I can relate to the most is "Fire". Everytime I listen to this song I have to think about my grandfather who died in April 2009. We all, especially my grandmother of course, miss him but we know he's gone and isn't able to come back. When I look to the stars / I know just where you are / You're looking down upon me... This song gives me hopes he might be up there and watching his family. Hopefully he is proud of us what we're doing right now...
  2. Joe at 1:01 during New Divide Always amazed how great this song sounds live.
  3. This short interview with Pooch about the speeches was very interesting. Wonder how their actual stage setup will look like in Europe. Maybe the visuals everyone was expecting and talking about are coming now?
  4. I think Chester nailed the choruses in Given Up. He messed up the 18 seconds scream (especially the first half) though and the chorus after that is always weaker than before.
  5. Awesome, the poster looks even better than the one from the Dead By Sunrise tour which has a special place on my wall at home Can't wait to meet you guys again. Due to some time conflicts, I can only make it to the Hamburg Meet&Greet although I would love to meet some guys in Berlin as well The idea with the big signed poster is cool. We have done this already in February for Julien-K, right?
  6. Right, I forgot about the catwalk in Berlin two years ago. But I doubt it anyway because they never had something like this at their indoor shows...^^I know many artists played there who didn't have these catwalks at the side as well but built up their own stage setup
  7. Doubt that, looks like a normal stage design from another band. Linkin Park never had any catwalks so they won't be there this time as well.
  8. Wow, we have 6 songs in the encore now. Really good chooice to close with Bleed It Out, makes the set even better
  9. I agree that Berlin was a good show, one of my favourites from the summer tour. But if you compare 2008 (imo, the US tour was even worse than the European run) to the two other years of the MTM touring cycle - 2007 was awesome - you'll notice big differences. Of course you could compare them to 2000 - 2004 as well but we all know this wouldn't make that much sense So, my opinion is that 2008 was LP's worst year and I'm happy to see they are getting better again
  10. lol, they are enjoying their shows right now. Take a look at some 2008 videos, Joe was only there, Chester just stood there with his micstand during their slow slows and Phoenix and Brad didn't move that much as well. As I already said, they seemed bored to me. Now, Joe is getting this energy back, Chester is walking around or going down to the crowd during songs like Numb or Breaking The Habit, Brad is playing other instruments, the whole band is singing... You just have to look at the NYC videos. For me, they are a unit and enjoy everything they do on stage.
  11. Oh, we got three songs? Nice, didn't expect that at all. Wretches and Kings is simply amazing, Mike seems to ejnoy every second of it. Only thing I don't really like is the beginning of Given Up right after Papercut. There should be an instrumental (Session/Wake), so that the clapping would fade in way better And lol at people saying 2008 was LPs best year. In my opinion it was their worst (expect the Winter Tour that was amazing) because they seemed kinda bored and tired to me. =/
  12. Wonder if there'll be some New Zeland dates as well...
  13. They don't have to do anything. Just because you wanna see a different setlist for your show, it doesn't mean they'll do it. If they keep this setlist for some reasons we don't know, everything will be fine as well. It's their show, so they play songs they want to.
  14. Was has their tour plan to do with rotating setlists? Well, I don't know. I can see them doing this again but I can see them doing the same setlist as well. We'll see although I hope they'll switch it up a little bit for every show
  15. Definately no changes in the set for tonight's show. For Europe I can see them doing it but I'm not 100 percent sure, maybe with the start of the US tour? And they definately won't introduce the rotating setlists just because they know there are many people going to several shows... -.- They can do whatever they want...
  16. I think the reason why they play all these interludes is that they wanna transform this "journey" onto the stage. In my opinion, they work perfectly on A Thousand Suns (expect "Empty Spaces" maybe which is completely unnecessary). They create a really special atmosphere and LP want to have the same feeling on stage. But I have to agree with some of you here anyway because these interludes can't be discribed as full songs. Throw in one or two songs we haven't heard in years and everyone would be happy. I'm not complaining here though because by now I can deal with the fact they don't play this old stuff anymore and I'm fine with the actual setlist.
  17. Wow, awesome! Could you maybe tell us what exactly you talked about? I'm just interested
  18. This. When I listened to Wretches and Kings I never expected it to be the opener of the live show. But it works out perfectly, really good choice!
  19. I really wonder if they'll switch up the setlist for Europe...
  20. Is it just me or does this performance sounds way better than the other ones we already heard? BTW, I think this video is from the Argentina show if you take a look at the date
  21. I love the album version and I didn't expect it to be played live. But this live performance is even better, the extended outro gives me creeps.
  22. Drum solo and a little part of Burning In The Skies? Nice
  23. Well, I think everyone is responsible for himself. On every ticket you can read "Loud music can destroy your ears" and things like that. So if you attend a concert you know what to expect.
