I'm sure they or any guests might post clips. You never know. The pic posted today looks like Joe and Rob are angled more towards the center now.

Corden has done such great episodes with RHCP, Chris Martin from Coldplay, Bieber x2, etc that I am surprised he didn't host it. I didn't find Chow that funny.
-
Serj said he's in Russia or something and is trying to make it but can't guarantee it yet. Agreed. Mike can sing just enough of the older songs in the catalogue (that he sings on, or even something like Final Masquerade acoustic) + new songs to form a new setlist live, and then they are set. ITE doesn't need a chorus singer as the crowd can do it. Strip down something like Numb and/or another big single and then it's game on.

I'm excited for the Time Capsule. There will be stuff coming out for the rest of our lives with how much Chester recorded, filmed, etc over the years. It's just an insane amount of stuff that will take decades. LP live shows, DBS footage, everything. All sorts of collaborations. Hours and hours of unreleased music.
-
Looks like Brian Welch and POD are not performing but just attending.

Yeah Geki go watch that latest video stream they did. They went in depth about a lot of stuff. They said they have hours and hours of DBS/JK live footage (like even hanging out side stage during the LP set or backstage during LP, etc on PR07) over the years and want to do a Kickstarter like this for it. Aka they will have to find someone to edit it all together but Chester is in a lot of it. I think that will be their next project. They went through tapes and have like, the entire Chester JK PR07 set on video and just a ton of stuff. Time Capsule: They said Chester went in and taught Ryan how to sing the songs so Chester is actually on the demos for that album. I suspect he will be on some of these in the Time Capsule too. Maybe not at the front of the mix but they said like Ryan would record over Chester sometimes and Chester is just further back in the mix. Interesting. Basically Ryan's delivery on these songs was created by Chester. I'm under the impression he sang like, all of DTA. He will be on some of the demos and I bet he's on the Maestro remix.

I think Chester was a much much busier person than we would think, even as fans on a fansite. He recorded all of that material, was doing N.A. Tour press, had met with Black Eyed Peas in the studio (which we didn't even know about)... who knows what else he was up to. Then running his entire family, on the school board for his local school that he and Robert DeLeo's kids went to... damn Chester was really busy when he wasn't on tour. It's almost like tour was the vacation even though that's his "work."

Yeah good point. Disappointing to see but they aren't ready yet. Give it time and they will be ready to go. 2018 most likely. Whatever time they need to get everything rolling again is fine obviously. I think it's possible they might want to have a new album, start a new chapter, start a new world tour, etc all at once in 2018 sometime. The One More Light cycle is just depressing now, I bet they'll want to make music and start fresh. It also gives them a chance, if Mike is lead vocalist for the entire album which I assume he would be, to make 10-12 new/extra songs that he can have in the live show setlist so they aren't stretching things out too far for the set.

I don't care who performs, it shouldn't be a competition of this person is better than that person. This is LP's dedication to Chester. Anyone who wants to come that LP invites should be able to come. Personally I didn't know Chester meant so much to some of these folks, like No Doubt for example. Papa Roach is out since they're in Europe but they said at a M&G this week they were really bummed they couldn't make it, they wanted to be there. Haley from Paramore would be cool. I'm sure Mike has invited everyone that we have assumed/guessed, and all the obvious ones. It's just who will actually show up or can show up. Right now I am shocked Leto and Aoki aren't in. I thought they'd be the two biggest confirmations ASAP. My instinct is telling me Jay-Z and Corey Taylor show up as surprises the day of the show and they haven't announced them because they are just *MASSIVE* guests. I could easily be wrong.

Last known video of him singing I guess. It was filmed after Europe or before Europe? I forgot.

Linkin Park has released a brand new lyric video for One More Light. "One More Light" official lyric video created by Nicola Drilling and LP street soldiers around the world.

How is this even possible? Didn't you release the audio for the show on the 7th? Is it not dated on the CD? Live 105 in San Jose. These 2001 holiday shows have had the dates fact checked with LP's website quite a few times. How else can we look into this? I don't believe the radio station at face value, trust me we have looked into this easily tens of more times than they have. Example: Getty Images has Mike backstage + LP pics from 12/7 in San Jose and not Seattle. http://www.gettyimages.com/event/live-105s-2001-not-so-silent-night-christmas-75052807#mike-shinoda-of-linkin-park-backstage-during-live-105s-2001-not-so-picture-id75503020 Deck the Hall Ball 2001 was two days long in Seattle. First day was 12/6, which LP played. Next day was 12/7. Email the radio and tell them that. http://www.1077theend.com/blogs/branden/every-deck-hall-ball-lineup-1993 -
Should get some update on Japan soon I would imagine.

I think they will save some for the day of. Leto, Aoki, etc. Maybe Corey Taylor or someone big like that. Just dropping those names right now would make ticket prices on the resale just explode. Glad to see StubHub not selling tickets for this one.

It truly is an event I've never seen another band do in the history of music. LP is a HUGE band. Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, etc never did anything like this. It's going to be really great and is one of the most respectful things I've heard of in music.

Linkin Park is gearing up for their Chester tribute show that is taking place on October 27th at the Hollywood Bowl. Since the show is billed as "Linkin Park & Friends", we will undoubtedly see some great special guests step onto the stage for what is likely going to go down as the first show of the new chapter of Linkin Park. When Mike was on KROQ, he said that the list of guests has not been finalized yet, but they are still working on it. The band has appeared to meet up already to discuss the show and start preparing judging by pictures (1, 2) that they have posted on social media. So who can we expect to see at the show? There are a few big guests that we would assume would at least show up (maybe perform?)... like Jared Leto, Kiiara, Corey Taylor, Robert DeLeo, Ryan Shuck, and/or Travis Barker. Jay-Z also plays in Anaheim that night, but since it's his first show of the 4:44 Tour, we can probably count him out. In terms of other guests, we can think of maybe Jeremy McKinnon from A Day to Remember, Austin Carlisle or Aaron Pauley from Of Mice & Men, Ryan Key from Yellowcard, Tim McIlrath from Rise Against, and/or Machine Gun Kelly. And of course there have been lots of historic/classic guests with the band in the past... the most popular being anyone who has ever stepped foot on stage for One Step Closer (Jonathan Davis of Korn, Aaron Lewis of Staind, Doug Robb from Hoobastank, Christian Lindskog from Blindside, etc). We have a master list of guests here. There has been one time in the band's history where they have played a show with guests on every single song... the famous Warped Tour show of 2014. So while this will be "new ground" for the band, they have do have experience with composing a set featuring quite a few guests. Mike is an absolute master at mashups, medleys, and composing unique pieces for shows... just look at the Roads Untraveled/Fallout intro in 2017 or any Fort Minor setlist. So no matter how much we speculate, the band will undoubtedly surprise us with one of the most unique shows in their history. But remember, it's not about what is played or who steps on stage at all - it's a night of remembrance and celebration for the best singer in modern rock. This is a show where the band doesn't need to feel any pressure whatsoever from fans about what they do or how they do it; people are coming from around the world just for the experience. Of course songs might be messed up - who cares? At the end of the day, Linkin Park just stepping on that stage is a huge feat itself and for that, we are grateful. CONFIRMED GUESTS: Avenged Sevenfold (M. Shadows & Synyster Gates) Blink-182 Kiiara Ryan Key (Yellowcard) Oliver Sykes (Bring Me The Horizon) Machine Gun Kelly System Of A Down (Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, & John Dolmayan) Korn (Jonathan Davis & Brian Welch) Jon Green (The Bonfires) No Doubt (Adrian Young & Tom Dumont) Zedd Echosmith We are very thankful the show is being played and look forward to an incredible night with fans from across the entire world. Shoutout to those flying in from far away places like Hong Kong, Argentina, New Zealand, India, Japan, all over Europe, and more! See you on October 27th.

Can't wait to see you all. Big meetup outside at the box office like 2-3 hours before the show for sure, to catch up with everyone, take pics, etc. -

No way I miss it. See you there. -
This is incredible. The bridge...damn.

My guess is the memorial event is in October sometime, a few weeks before the Japan shows. I think whatever info that is on Tommy is really vague and seems easy to make up in a time like this. I haven't seen that anywhere else at all. I mean it could very well be true, but the source of "heard it from someone that saw it somewhere" is ehhh.

Grey Daze & Julien-K Team-Up For Chester Tribute Show
hahninator replied to lpliveusername's topic in Newswire
Saying that they will have a replacement is just an opinion, there's literally nothing to go on for that. An opinion. I don't agree with that. Mike wrote a majority of the singles himself, including BTH and WID. We will see what happens but I am positive LP can drop top 10 singles in this format of 5 members no problem. They are an incredibly talented band. I look forward to what they do, because they will honor Chester properly. -
Yes. Looks like they are going to play them as the tickets are still for sale after it's been 5 weeks now, and LP made that statement saying they're going to build the future of the band.

IMO just different only because of no Chester. I don't understand why they wouldn't do world tours.
