  1. "I mean, if you can't have fun doing this, you're doing it wrong." This is what we hear Chester say after "Sharp Edges: on Linkin Parks new 'One More Light Live' album, out on December 15th. This is the bands first outright worldwide live album since 2008s 'Road to Revolution' CD/DVD, almost a decade ago. But dont let that fool you - Linkin Park gave fans access to almost every performance from summer 2007 to winter 2012, two hundred and twenty nine shows total, as well as allowing show webcasts and more to occur regularly to present day and finally tacking on DVDs to three consecutive album releases from 2010 to 2014. Phew. Thats a lot of live releases but this one is understandably a lot more significant. It is with this album that we get to celebrate Chester and his incredible talent once more. Coming on the heels of an unimaginably tragic year for the band and its fanbase, OML Live provides an intimate look into Linkin Parks European Tour in June and July 2017. At seventeen shows, this was the largest headlining tour of Europe (really a second home for LP) in the bands career. While covering the lively tour in great detail show-by-show, we wondered if Linkin Park felt the same way about the tour as we did. In the introduction to OML Live, the band affirms that sentiment and explains, Chester shared with us that he felt this was the best tour we had ever done. If it wasnt the best, it was damn close. 2017s touring felt exciting in a new way huge production elements, Chester spending a significant portion of the middle of the show singing in the crowd with fans, Mike taking requests and adding different verses of (rare) songs mid-tour, and while he claimed it wasnt intentional, Linkin Park never played the exact same set twice the entire tour. With a mix of festival dates across the continent as well as arena shows, OML Live sticks mostly to the indoor shows of the tour, from Berlin, Amsterdam, Krakow, London, and Birmingham. There is no need for the release to be flashy with rare takes of this or that song - the beauty in the album is sixteen song takes from the tour which highlight Linkin Parks strong performances across Europe. On a side note, speaking of strong the show at Londons O2 Arena boasts the longest Linkin Park has played in their entire career, a very impressive 28 songs. This was in response to an opening band not being able to be found for the U.K. leg so LP took matters into their own hands and performed extended setlists for three consecutive shows. Its important to mention because it fits right into the lovely story they were writing on this touring cycle, from performing a surprise set in the New York City subway to headlining to over 60,000 fans at a stadium in their first show ever in Peru. A large North American Tour with several stadium shows was up next. OML Live kicks off with a crowd chanting for Linkin Park and leads into the haunting (and already a fan-favorite) intro mashup of Fallout and Roads Untraveled which was used before Talking To Myself. Eight of the ten songs on One More Light, released in May, were performed on this tour and all eight are included in the live album - Talking To Myself, Battle Symphony, Invisible (lead by Mike), Nobody Can Save Me, One More Light, Good Goodbye, Sharp Edges, and Heavy. These eight songs are interwoven in the release, which mostly follows the live setlist actually performed this year, with setlist heavyweights like Burn It Down, New Divide, What Ive Done, In The End, and Bleed It Out. The version of Linkin Park you hear on this release is authentic - theres no over-the-top booming production element added to the mixing, theres no post-show dub-ins to correct any possible small mistakes. Fans that attended this tour are getting a legitimate reflection of what they saw in person, the rest of us a powerful selection of songs from the tour that sent Chester out on top. Mixing songs from so many different shows for a physical release is a first for Linkin Park, but long-time engineer Ethan Mates takes the reigns and delivers arguably his best work in his decade-long relationship with the band. Linkin Park performs the new songs with confidence, showing they truly take pride in their ability to constantly change genres and directions with each album release. Critics of 'One More Light' should listen to the live album to gain an understanding of how the tracks actually come alive in a live setting. From the heart-wrenching moments like Chesters emotional bridge scream of I do on One More Light to Brad and Chesters beautifully interwoven acoustic guitars on Sharp Edges, the band does a fantastic job transforming the eight new tracks into live set staples. Picking a favorite song from the release is challenging. One of the biggest highlights is undoubtedly what fans call the 2017 Version of Leave Out All The Rest. Beginning the song in a stripped-down piano form, Mike immediately has 18,000+ fans in the palm of his hand in a huge singalong before the song kicks into a jammy, extended full band intro and finishes with a new ending to the song settling in at almost five minutes long. It was a surprise to see this song in the setlist this year, but it was quite appropriate as it pays tribute to the 10 year anniversary this year of the massive Minutes To Midnight album. Hearing Chester sing, When my time comes, forget the wrong that I've done, help me leave behind some reasons to be missed is undoubtedly heartbreaking, but the band nailed it when they accurately said, His dedication to bringing these songs to life was triumphant. Another highlight of OML Live is In The End, which shows that LP can still have fun with a song seventeen years after its original release. Its actually by our count the song performed the most amount of times in their career - almost 900 performances. In 2017, the band began a version of it that they jokingly referred to on setlists as Keep Em Guessing in which theyd all suddenly stop playing at once to allow the crowd to sing a certain part of the track. It varied - at some shows, it was the first verse, at others it was the first chorus, etc. And the crowd always nailed it. Before Nobody Can Save Me, Mike remarks, As we're making an album, there are always certain songs that always stand out to each of us and to help define the course of the record. For me, this was always one song that I felt like I really wanted to save that I didn't want people to hear until they heard the whole album. That's why we put it first on the record. Along with One More Light, the song has become a favorite in the fanbase since the albums release. In the talking between songs, we hear Chester reaffirm the bands longstanding commitment to their relationship with fans. For such a large global band, Linkin Park has always made their fans a priority and takes pride in not just always being in touch with them, but by being quite accessible too. Chester remarks before Battle Symphony from his last performance in Birmingham, You know, we have the best fans in the world. I say it all the time because its true. And I want to thank all the people I see every night at all of these shows. You know who you are love you guys. And how great it is that these fans just sent the band home with an American Music Award this year for Favorite Alternative Rock Artist. Mike started a hashtag this summer to #MakeChesterProud, and OML Live nails it in that aspect, letting fans remember and reflect on Chesters stellar, energetic, and exciting live performances. The tour had such a celebratory vibe, with Linkin Park playing around with songs and engaging the fans, and this carries over well into the live album. Once again we see Linkin Park appeal to both the casual fan and the hardcore fan in a release and OML Live is no exception - it gets a 10/10 from us. Catch the album on digital streaming services on December 15th or visit the Linkin Park online store to pick up a copy on CD for yourself.
  2. https://s8.postimg.org/anw2h1qar/9872482349.jpg This is good, it confirms the countries are right. I am pretty positive the 14 we have are right, I've checked them multiple times. But we'll need some big help with Talking To Myself (Sopron or London 1 are my guesses) and Bleed It Out (Amsterdam is my guess).
  3. Honestly how big of a difference can you tell between OML Berlin vs London? The selections are really good. Good Goodbye was only messed up at O2 London. Brixton show is perfect. A lot of these make sense like a really good Invisible performance was Amsterdam. ITE has a great Keep Em Guessing version. Numb transitions into Heavy.
  4. Yeah I agree. I like the Strange Love bridge. They streamed it from Vegas in soundboard audio (iPhone video) on the LP Facebook page but didn't make the stream available afterward. Damn, I wish we had recorded it. The release is A+. LOATR might be the best thing they have ever released. LP Italy is going live on Virgin Radio Italy at 9pm Italian time (+1 GMT) to listen to OML Live and comment on it. I guess they will stream the album then. I'm going to tune in and check it out.
  5. The first reviews of the album are starting to come out. We'll be posting one on Thursday. Between now and Friday, I assume we'll get a ton of reviews (maybe more than OML because of what happened with Chester). I have not been able to track down a list of shows from anyone official (I've tried), and as far as I know, the liner notes don't mention them. If for some reason they ARE in the liner notes, I'll be shocked. So the songs are almost all from Berlin, Krakow, Amsterdam, London, London 2, and Birmingham. On this list, I am 99% sure about 14 of them and there are two that I do not know - Talking To Myself and Bleed It Out. It will take help from you all to get those solidified. I've spent around five hours analyzing YouTube videos with some help from LPL staff (I typed up possible indicators like what the band says before/after the song, so they can help me search). Here is what I have. Talking To Myself: Not sure. Biggest guesses are Sopron 6.27 or London 7.3. Burn It Down: London 7.4 (talking after song is Birmingham 7.6) Battle Symphony: Birmingham 7.6 New Divide: Amsterdam 6.20 Invisible: Amsterdam 6.20 Nobody Can Save Me: Krakow 6.15 One More Light: Berlin 6.12 Crawling: Berlin 6.12 Leave Out All The Rest: London 7.4 Good Goodbye: London 7.4 What I've Done: Sopron 6.27 In The End: Amsterdam 6.20 Sharp Edges: Berlin 6.12 (talking after song is Amsterdam 6.20) Numb: Amsterdam 6.20 Heavy: Amsterdam 6.20 Bleed It Out: Not sure. Biggest guess is Amsterdam 6.20.

I think Talinda extended his life by at least eleven years, and LP/Ryan/Amir all had a significant part in that as well. People being rude to Talinda, like Samantha, is completely uncalled for. Samantha has completely lost her mind. If she's against Talinda, Machine Shop, WBR, and LP, then she's clearly the oddball out. She even said the 10/27 show wasn't very good. I thought it was an incredible tribute to Chester for the fans. She seems to not understand it was for the fans, not for Chester's ex-wife and kids. Jesus.
  7. I ordered two, but on the same day (separate orders)... one shipped and one didn't. Strange lol. I guess they are just slammed in the online store - imagine how many preorders of this they got. Maybe even more than OML itself surely. So they're probably starting early on the shipping.
  8. Listening party by LPFanCorner on Friday at 12:30pm PST. They invited us to join, so I've composed 2-4 tweets per song to add to it from our account. I'll post it all afterwards in this thread too of course.

You're right. We should be thankful Ryan and Amir were in his life in such a big way in 2004. That really is what saved him in 2005. He was with JK working on DTA and then Ryan heard him sing a solo song himself... bam it's on. Snow White Tan. That pulled Chester out of the mess he was in at the time. Anyway they just posted on Instagram - "SOON" for the Time Capsule.

I think there is an LPTV or some video, I remember seeing it, and it has a few seconds of them rehearsing at (Ryan's house?) for the Let Down 2005 performance. Anyone know which video I'm talking about?
  11. Not to get too dark but he was obviously suicidal since at least 2005, so something like that isn't out of the realm of possibility at all. But that's the beauty in it. Chester was able to take the demons he was struggling with, write beautiful music from his experiences, and it has helped countless people around the world. That's why it's so tragic, because he not only helped thousands via his music, but he was loved by so many more.
  12. Mike was photographed wearing the Amsterdam shirt today at his home studio with the LP band meeting. There's a possible third one he could be wearing from what looks like NRG yesterday too. Still checking that out.

Nothing yet but we get OML Live soon so hopefully this is right after it.
  14. Ah, I didn't know Eminem came out the same day. Dang.
  15. I bet this does go #1.
  16. Thank you!
  17. Usually we do this a lot earlier, but we had to take some serious time off from working on the site due to Chester's passing. We are collecting Linkin Park tickets from the 2017 shows. The North American tour was canceled, but like the 2015 canceled tour, we'd still like to add the tickets (we have 13 shows of 19 on that tour). You can take a quick glance at the touring year pages and see what shows we have tickets for. Thanks to you over the past few years, we have over 650 show tickets on LPLive. We want YOUR tickets (preferably scanned, but a good quality picture does work) for the show pages. Many of you have physical tickets, digital tickets, etc from the North American canceled tour, and we would like to add those to LPLive. Example here. Please submit your images to us via email at pics(AT)lplive(DOT)net. A pretty interesting thing that we found was the LP Underground made a montage of some of the ticket scans found on LPLive for the fanclub hub! So these are actually being put to use outside of LPLive too. Shows we need ticket scans/pics for: 05.19 Las Vegas 05.22 iHeartRadio 06.09 Download Paris 06.11 Aerodrome Prague 06.12 Berlin 06.14 NovaRock 06.15 Impact Krakow 06.16 I-Days Monza 06.18 Hellfest 06.20 Amsterdam 06.22 Download Madrid (scan) 06.24 Hurricane 06.25 Southside 06.27 Telekom VOLT Sopron 06.29 Bravalla Norrkoping 07.01 Rock Werchter 07.03 London O2 07.04 London Brixton 07.06 Birmingham 07.07 Manchester 07.27 Mansfield 07.28 Flushing (Blinkin Park) 07.30 Hershey (Blinkin Park) 08.01 Camden 08.02 Bristow 08.05 Uncasville 08.07 Clarkston 08.08 Toronto 08.10 Montreal 08.12 Cincinnati 08.14 Tinley Park 08.15 St. Paul 08.17 Charlotte 08.19 Tampa 08.20 West Palm Beach 08.22 Houston 08.23 San Antonio 08.25 Dallas 08.26 Oklahoma City 08.30 Phoenix 09.01 Lake Tahoe 09.02 Las Vegas 10.14 Seattle 10.15 Vancouver 10.17 Fresno 10.18 San Jose 10.20 Chula Vista 10.22 Los Angeles Other things we are taking: (LP, DBS, JK, FM, any band we cover on LPL) - Show pictures - Ticket scans/pictures - Upgrades of pictures we already have on the site - M&G wristbands, VIP wristbands, GA pit wristbands, any kind of wristbands or passes - Show posters - Anything that we don't already have on LPLive that has to do with the show Thanks everyone!
  18. It seems weird but it isn't because they filmed London O2 professionally, so they are using the best footage they have.
  19. Done. http://lplive.net/shows/db/2000andearlier/20001031 Good luck, I hope you can get the video!
  20. Monterrey 2015 right? http://lplive.net/shows/db/2015/20150625 First show of China 2015 has Crawling listed on the setlist, but they didn't play it. Reminds me of Honda Civic Tour 2012 when they dropped it from Bristow, Uncasville, and Camden. It could have been dropped from Mansfield too but we never got a setlist pic from that show.
  21. I'll get all of this stuff added soon. Great job.
  22. 2017 page updated with the release icons, details, etc. From what I can tell on the release so far: - 6/12 Berlin: Crawling live audio, Sharp Edges live audio. - 6/20 Amsterdam: Chester's speech after Sharp Edges live audio. - 7/3 London: Crawling live video.
