  1. LPU 9 will destroy 7 and 8 if you ask me and will closely beat out 6. I think it will be very good. No joke. I'm placing the bet down now that it will be what we've wanted for so long and will rock. B-sides perhaps?

You have to be fucking kidding me. I was talking to Mark Fiore and knew I had something to ask him but I COMPLETELY forgot about that. Daaaaaaaang. I was gonna see what the deal with that footage was. Oh well, woops! hahaha
  3. The tour is over...we have a few months until LPU 9...I just thought hey what the heck and put up a comment on Mike's blog. "Hi Mike. Mark from LPLive. You know how you did 10 tracks for the VMA score? We've got 5 that were on MTV.com in 2005 and just saw that a clip of another one is in the new LPTV episode. Any chance you can post all 10 or at least the 5 we don't have on your music player on here? It would be awesome man." I think it'd be cool if he posted them on his blog with an explanation into them all, etc. You never know, seriously. The power of the fans is big...A Place For My Head was brought back in 2008...Lockjaw came out last year...you never know what a comment or two can do! Also, a full coverage of Mike's art show is coming soon!
  4. Go ask Mike on his blog if he'll post them all, haha. I think it'd be cool to get full versions of the 5 we don't have. It'd be like Christmas again Just make sure he doesn't put them on the LPU 9 CD....haha.
  5. All of them aren't released. Out of all 10 we have 5 full ones, this one, and a clip of another. 7 out of 10. We don't have any others.
  6. Know the LPTV instrumental clip we're all talking about? Not so fast....Christos_17 has posted this in the forum, "I just signed up to say that I believe this instrumental is actually a piece of Mike's work when he scored the MTV Music Awards a few years ago. I recognized the beat straight away and used to have an .mp3 with the tune in it which I don't have anymore. You'll have to take my word for it, but I'm pretty positive about it. EDIT: I actually DO have it! I thought I had deleted it. Here it is for download." For the record, you can download a clean clip of the instrumental from the LPTV episode here. Mike scored the VMA's in 2005 with Lil Jon and then released 5 tracks from it. However, he later said he did more of them and we have two clips of ones he never released - this would be one of those. Very nice Christos, thanks for the help on this one. It always amazes me when the LP community figures things out like this. This might be one of those things that if you request the full thing from Mike, he'll post it on his blog. Wonder if it's worth a shot?
  7. Amen. Mike writes incredible lyrics. His lyrics outside of LP are 100x better than his LP lyrics. His lyrics are dumbed down so much for LP. Lies is in every verse it seems lol. Reading My Eyes...his Xero shit...even the Hybrid Theory demos...then Fort Minor...his lyrics outside of LP are better than his LP ones in my opinion.
  8. You know submitted news has to be in Got News?.

We would ask about State Of The Art but the second after we found the full song and posted it, we asked him on Twitter and he seemed pretty pissed.... I don't know of any other tracks he guested on that we are aware of.

Thanks Adam If I ever got my LPWiki idea launched I was going to do an elaborate page on L7. I'll get that started soon.... Anyway yeah we don't need to ask about stuff that we will find out soon. aka LPU9 - we'll find out info on that soon. No need to ask about touring, we'll find about that soon too. We need to ask him exclusive questions that noone else has ever asked him that are intriguing and give us good information.

(didn't know seriously)...is Level 7 a touchy subject for him? I was under the impression it was a label he wanted to get started but Warner wanted him to do DBS on WB and not Level 7. like Level 7 would've been Chaz's equivalent of Machine Shop (with Julien-K, Dead By Sunrise, etc). Death To Analog on the back says JULIEN-K: A LEVEL 7 ARTIST. Any package I get from JK says "Level 7 Headquarters", etc. There was a scandal involving a guy involved in it a few years ago I believe. Anything you're not comfortable in man I won't ask. That has to be awkward so I totally understand where you're coming from.
  12. Word. It's likely an LP instrumental in the background. Just something Mike experimented with probably. There have been unreleased music clips in LPTV before though....so you never know!!
  13. Barack Your World was awesome. He needs to post more stuff like that. I thought if the LPU CD had M Shinoda remixes of 6-10 LP tracks, that'd be sweet. LOATR was awesome. I think 9 will give us b-sides but don't be betting on it. I think it's time though for that again.

I might ask one about Level 7....
  15. http://twitter.com/phoenixlp Phoenix is doing a Q&A on Twitter right now for the next 6 or 7 minutes. Hurry and submit your question! "Hahninator@phoenixlp are there any plans for a release of the remaining MTM b-sides? the 6th song you recorded strings for maybe. LPU9, please?" I figured I might as well give it a shot.... Phoenix did a ten minute Q&A on Twitter just a minute ago - there were tons of things asked. Hopefully he'll do it again sometime soon! Pretty cool.

This is very last-minute and spontaneous, but do any of you have a really good question or two for Chester? I'm looking for only a few questions for a very small interview...nothing extremely generic. I just need a few really good ones and I'll consider some that you submit. Thanks!
  17. There is a new LPTV Episode on LP.com about the SURU Celeritas Art Show. Check it out - it seems there's a new cool background instrumental piece in the episode. Is it new LP music?

  20. LPLive.net has officially joined Team Shinoda in the Blog vs Twitter war. You can check the whole thing out on Mike's blog or Phoenix's Twitter. Basically Phoenix got Twitter on a bet that he couldn't use it for 3 straight months, and then he went and started dissing Mike's blog immediately. Now, thousands of LP fans have been drawn into this "war". There are animated .gifs, there are flame wars, there are worldwide battles. Join now or forever hold your peace! Hahaha, DAMN - what a post. Anyway, lots of stuff coming soon. An update on the next LPLive exclusive (sure to blow your mind), a full scoop about Glorious Excess: Dies, and a full wrap-up of the 2009 Summer Tour!
  21. me = owned. Yep, that's me that bitched about that. Mike wearing a hat = MAJOR WIN. Sorry. I'm a huge ass Mike fan and I think Mike was a straight up G with the DC hat, earrings, DC shoes, and baggy shorts. Live In Texas ftw. But he's still my favorite musician ever.
  22. I'll retrack them properly and upload them to the LPL server for you.
  23. pwnt by Geki!
  24. "Luckily- all of OUR gear has ups battery backup. So LP's gear stayed working. Multitrack continued to roll. It was the local PA company's gear that crapped out. It will be funny to hear the recorded version because the band continued to play even while the PA is dead." Things are fine.
  25. Word. Probably live tracks or other crap. I don't expect anything from them anymore. 7.0 and 8.0 were huge letdowns. When I heard what Chester said about 6.0, it was a letdown too. They wanted more demos on there but the label said no. Fail. I don't think we'll get any b-sides or remixes or anything from the LPU anymore.
