Pre show and post show LPL meetup. I'll get the exact info later on. Probably an hour before the doors open meet at the box office, and meet 20 mins after the final act. I'll stay for the full show of course. You paid money, you might as well see it all. I say: Fire, CBI, My Suffering, Morning After, Walking In Circles, and a cover. Maybe if they do 8 songs then add Let Down and In The Darkness.

On vacation? He needs to be finishing the fucking LP record! lmao

LPL Roadtrip!!! I'll be attending this monster since it's on a Friday. Let's rock it in the pit. I say they won't do any LP songs but they'll do covers. Wicked Game or something. Anything, Anything perhaps. Chester fucking loves covering songs so I'm sure they'll do a song Bucket Of Weenies did or perhaps Jane Says or something. We'll see.

Whoever the hell is going to the USA shows, get your asses in here!

So there's this cool guy I know named Sanjay. He texted me the setlist from the Bristow show from Projekt Revolution last year and actually ran into me at a show later on the tour. After encore one at the Tampa show, I turned to the right and saw him and his sister standing next to me and informed him that 'Bleed It Out' was next, but he said he knew since he visited LPLive. I was like "Hey, that's my site!" and we found out we actually knew each other from a few days before. Small world, right? Anyway, I thought I'd share that little story before I introduce the news that he just sent me.... He went to the Virginfest in Maryland yesterday and saw a poster for an upcoming show called "mtvU Ulalume Festival". Dead By Sunrise will be playing it! Remember, Chester said that DBS is playing Europe FIRST, and then the United States, so perhaps European dates are coming *very* soon? Who: Dead By Sunrise. Headliners are Paramore and A.F.I., with Kid Cudi and Dead By Sunrise joining them. Where: Columbia, Maryland @ Merriweather Post Pavilion When: Friday, October 23rd, 2009 What: mtVU Ulalume Festival Tickets are on sale starting September 4th (and it's cheap)! Buy them here. Anyone up for a road trip? Source here. Thanks to Sanjay for the news!

Off-topic but it's LPLive so off topic never matters really, haha. And yes, of course. I never said China is bad. It's a great country with excellent scenery and great people. I disagree with their government in quite a few ways but that doesn't neccessarily mean it's wrong. It's not something I personally like - I like the US's policies, etc much better but I have no right to force my opinion on others, lol. I'm sure if I went to China it'd be a lot of fun, but my point is that I wholeheartedly disagree with the censorship of music of any kind, whether it be the RIAA or the Chinese government and since I like LP so much it's just total bullshit to tell them they can't play some of their music they worked hard on in my opinion.
-
Yep, it was due to political reasons; fuck the Chinese government. I wasn't sure what the exact reason was for it until I asked a member of LP's touring crew who confirmed that it was a political decision by the government of China. Show page: http://www.lplive.net/shows/20090815.php Scan of the article saying they can't play those two songs: http://www.lplive.net/shows/stuff/20090815.jpg Translation of the article: http://www.lplive.net/shows/stuff/shanghai09_note.txt "So please follow the official reply's requirements to remove the two songs, GIVEN UP and HANDS HELD HIGH, and make sure things proceed as stated below." It's true the reasons weren't defined. Maybe they meant No More Sorrow and translated it wrong and said Given Up instead? NMS is much more political, haha. All I know is that's some complete bullshit - I'm glad I live in America.

None of the VMA clips were used in the LOATR Remix.

The hardcore stuff performed during the M2M Touring Cycle from 07-09
hahninator replied to LPPRJKT4's topic in Live Talk
I could've sworn he did "so why's everybody so petrified, petrified, drop that c'mon, drop that c'mon...you looooove the wayyyy I look at youuuu" on POA more than once? pr07 maybe. I thought that was done a few times. -
If it's other Transformers demos, hell yes. If it's Mike remixing other LP songs, hell yes. If it's other unreleased LP demos (aka Faint demo or 6th string song) - fuck, I will go crazy. AWESOME. If it is anything except She Couldn't / Plaster, live tracks or LPU 8 crap, I will party. Here's to hoping the CD rocks. Unreleased LP demos = MAJOR WIN. My predictions: - 6th string song - Instrumental - Demo of an MTM song (like BIO) or New Divide demo - One other b-side - New Divide live - One other live track Please god no She Couldn't or demos we already have, LMAO. That'd be the biggest Ponzi Scheme I've ever seen, hahaha. What if we finally got Pictureboard? Oh my god that'd be ridiculously cool. Nominate Shinoda for a Grammy, lol.

This is awesome. Great remix. Mike hasn't disappointed me yet with a remix. Very glad we got to hear the full version of this. 5 minutes in length and excellent production. A+. I hope he continues to do remixes/mixtapes in the future for us.

"Hear, in their own words, the trials and tribulations the members of Dead By Sunrise / Julien-K had trying to get from Heathrow to Leipzig, Germany." I heard while I was in Europe that the Julien-K gear almost didn't make it for the show and caused a lot of people to panic, but things worked out alright. Anyway, you can check out the interesting video with Amir and Ryan telling the story . Let's hope that their next European Tour and US Tour are much better in terms of organization! I believe we'll have some tour dates very soon for those of you who are asking. And yes, they are going from Europe to the USA in that order. My good friend Lisa met the band in Stuttgart, Germany at their hotel (lucky!!!) and gave them a Julien-K Germany flag - video of that is . Three pictures of Dead By Sunrise playing in Stuttgart shot from backstage can be found here, here and here (I see myself in the crowd in the third picture!). EDIT: is all of Julien-K plus Chester, Mike and Joe having a little fun.
-
Dunno man but if we get a M&G next tour we'll let him know by wearing our Support Team Shinoda shirts And a banner in front of the crowd that Mike puts on his keyboard, HAHA.
-
Sure you can! Thanks for the links. We aren't hosting it, the label is hosting it so it's official to me. They said nothing to me when I posted the direct New Divide (Making Of) Video on the homepage right to their servers. Direct links from WB are always welcome! I was only told to not host stuff myself that's official material so if the band hosts it, that's fine with me!

http://twitter.com/phoenixlp "Chester's interview at lpassociation.com is pretty classic... I thought they did a good job with their questions." Thanks Phoenix......for not mentioning us, haha. In that case:

100% agree, nice post man!

Moved. I'm online like 10 hours a day but there are times when I'm out for a little bit, haha.
-
In the most non-egotistical way possible - thanks. I appreciate that. I work really hard on LPLive and try to make it really cool for people to come here and visit every day (mainly by our exclusive downloads and extensive live show coverage) and it really makes me feel like it was worth it when someone goes out of their way and says thanks

I saw 4 shows this year and I can say that Mike treated me well. Four shows - 3 different POA outros (There They Go, Reading My Eyes, A Place For My Head). 3 different versions of HHH/KRWLNG (Hands Held High verse 1 over KRWLNG, Hands Held High verse 2 over KRWLNG, and then HHH verse 1 a capella into HHH verse 2 over KRWLNG). Petrified verse 1 fucked up twice, High Voltage/Bloc Party, Petrified verse 2 over POA intro. Highlights were Reading My Eyes since I was so fucking intent on getting that verse rapped over a part of the set. New Divide, jesus christ that song rocks it live. Lights the crowd on FIRE and Shinoda has a GREAT intro for it. HHH is sweet. Long intros to NMS/WID were top notch in the middle of the set and I really enjoyed Session (Joe Hahn is back, motherfuckers). Numb outro into Breaking The Habit intro is simply the best one Mike has ever done. Fucking awesome buildup that gets the crowd into it. Highlight for that was Stuttgart after Numb when he started the piano piece. Crowd starts chanting MIIIIKE SHINOODDAAA (clapclapclapclapclap), etc for like 45 seconds and Mike just stops playing and looks up at us Hell yeah!! DBS was dope. Ryan rocking out was a pleasure to see - I love watching him live. Never thought I'd see APFMH, RME or High Voltage live so Mike made that wish happen for me this summer. A majority of the songs were the same as 2008 that I saw but energy-wise, this tour destroyed PR08 USA when the band seemed really tired on stage. Now I'm ready for some new setlists and a huge ass 2010 tour with me at 20 shows, haha Overall an A+ tour, saw some great stuff I thought I'd never see, I love the small changes in the set....New Divide rocks it hard. Now time for some Figure.09, A Place For My Head and With You again.
-
I like that idea, that'd be sweet if they did that. I'd be all for that. No touring questions are allowed, and that's a good thing.
-
Seems like the general consensus is that Mike has great LPU chats. I agree, lol.
-
Well I'm interested in hearing their thoughts on NRL now because Mike said it was going to be done before PRR08 was over and it never happened. He's the cat to ask about it. And of course I'll ask about b-sides. 6th strings song is my specialty. I've only ever asked it at every single LPU chat since MTM dropped Hahaha. I'll see what he says.
-
he got into an argument with Joe and Joe cut him out of it seriously, that's what happened. someone asked at a meet and greet in europe.
-
I agree but shit man there's so many n00b LPU members that come online ONLY for the chats it's crazy. MIKE WHEN R U CUMIN 2 DA USA AGIN ZOMG and all this bullshit, lol. I'm all for organized questions but I think it's impossible.
-
The best time of the year is here. Seriously. Christmas is comin' early, y'all. "Mike Shinoda will be chatting exclusively with LPU members on Friday, September 4th at 1pm PDT! Ask him about Glorious Excess (Dies), his war with Phoenix, or about anything else you want to know! This chat is only for active LPU members, so join or renew today! Online only memberships are just $15!" Shinoda is chatting with the LPU'ers. Hell yes. Why is this so good? Mike is like a ninja in the chatroom...spitting out awesome information left and right. He gives us more info than any other band member generally and is really good at answering questions. Now is your time to get your important questions answered! This will be awesome...Mike's chats are my favorite part about the LPU besides the CD!
