The tour looks pretty standard for a European Tour to me. You have a lot of German shows, some shows in neighboring countries around Germany, some staples like London and Paris, and a new place with Luxembourg. Most importantly, sixteen headline shows in Europe will get us some really epic setlists, some live debuts, and a lot of awesome crowds. I'm glad the touring cycle is continuing (no matter where in the world it is) because the shows are only getting better. It's nice to see Italy get two shows for the first time and the first non festival show in AGES. Like, since 2003? The things that are surprising to me are: - Only one UK show. Reading and Leeds had huge crowds, especially Reading. I thought we'd see Manchester or Glasgow or something. - Not a show in the area of Portugal and Spain. - Seven German shows. Seems like a lot. - Still no Poland, wow. Luxembourg, Budapest, and Prague getting shows is really good. I wonder what the rest of the year will look like. Australia? South America? Second USA tour? Or new Mike music? Or LP at the end of the year?

At the Silver Spring, Maryland show, the last stop of Mike's North American #PostTraumaticTour, he debuted a song that he had been rehearsing over the course of the last few weeks of the tour... the fan-favorite Lift Off. This version of Lift Off is a different structure than the studio version and had AmirSaysNothing joining him for the song. The song started with the demo verse of Lift Off which Mike has been rapping continually on the tour, then Amir rapped the first verse of his song Employee Of The Month. Next, Mike rapped the demo verse of Sorry For Now before finally Amir rapped part of the second verse of Employee Of The Month. The band did a short jam session to end the song, too. While rehearsing the song, fans reported that Mike was rapping unknown verses over the song. They likely heard the Sorry For Now demo verse which has been performed a few times on the world tour. With its one performance on the tour, Lift Off joins Place To Start and High Road as the three songs performed just once on the tour. Sharp Edges was performed twice. View a spreadsheet of all songs performed on the tour here (composed by our staff member Nick) and view setlists for every show here.

A Place For My Head!

Would be nice to have a European club tour across the continent, a South American run, and a second US tour. Headlining in the US again in some different cities would be great, but he may want to change it up and open for someone (30STM?). Down for whatever.

Mike Shinoda Soundcheck Sessions: Live In Moscow out Nov 15
hahninator replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Yeah the mix does sound very, very good. Will this be in video on Apple Music and then audio on iTunes? I just want to buy the audio of it. -
Well said. The song is pretty good live now that he has the band on it. The band really adds a lot to all of the songs. I LOVED the NYC show with just Mike on the stage. It was one of the most unique and intimate events I have ever attended especially with the 500 person crowd yelling every word to everything except the Sorry For Now verse. Crazy. It took me a few Asian shows to warm up to Matt and Dan. Now I can't get enough of them. They've slowly picked up more songs as the touring cycle has gone on. IOU, About You, all of Over Again, etc. I really like them a lot. A+. One of the most fun tours to follow. The last few shows have the ability to be insane with how many songs are in rotation.

Mike Shinoda Soundcheck Sessions: Live In Moscow out Nov 15

I don't understand why they remove songs. Hardcore fans want all of the tracks, lol. That Monterrey 2012 show, wow. What a wild crowd, one of the best arena crowds they have ever played to in their career. Band is on absolute fire there. I watch that on YouTube sometimes and they are in their PRIME right there. -

I guess five songs is better than nothing but they are really missing out on releasing more Post Traumatic live songs. Hold It Together, Watching As I Fall, World's On Fire, etc. -
Sharp Edges, Over Again verse 1, One More Light, Nobody Can Save Me, and Battle Symphony are all too hard for him to do emotionally. I don't think we'll see any of that right now. Invisible next, and maybe NCSM and Battle after that.

Mike adds Dia De Los Muertos merch to online store

I like the San Diego one because it looks like Chester from the One More Light era. Would be a very appropriate drawing if true. -
I guess I've finally come to realize Numb is their biggest song. For ages I assumed it was In The End, especially because it had two and a half years of growth before Numb was released.
-
I really have no idea who that is. I would love to see Watching As I Fall in there more often. Just rotate it with Hold It Together or something. Rotate In Stereo and High Road. There appears to be random openers the rest of the tour at some shows, but not all. Really odd, ha.
-
Yeah, could be. There is some sort of vocals going on there. Even if it's a jam, he's still writing on the tour. Not sure to what extent he is soundchecking new stuff but it's possible.

I just noticed Dan and Matt playing About You at this show. Sounds great.

Chester was out of the demo before it even got to the demo's second version lol. He was only in that very first one.

Project: Unreleased demos with vocals
hahninator replied to Skipees's topic in Everything Linkin Park
We need box sets with like 100+ songs each for each album someday. MTM deluxe box edition collectors set. MTM normal, MTM remastered, a full demos album (Wake through TLTGYA in demo form), another CD of random seeds, another CD of extra demos of the main songs, a CD with the bonus tracks, and another live show (Rock am Ring 2007). Like, exactly what Metallica is doing. Look at their Justice box set, it's literally all of that. From the ones they've done already, Master Of Puppets gets like 5 tracks, etc. Imagine Bleed It Out with 6 demos released, haha. Hell I think Metallica is putting out three OR MORE shows per box set. Vinyl. 28 demo tracks. https://www.metallica.com/store/and-justice-for-all-remastered-deluxe/REAJFADLX.html I'd buy it all. -

Mike Meet & Greets, Early Entry, Merch More going on now with LPU than in 2005-2006.

The clean version of Post Traumatic has received a worldwide release today, after a fan complained to Mike on Twitter recently that he couldn't find it. The first release of the clean version on July 18th was very limited and also was not on streaming services (Spotify, etc) or iTunes, which is why the fan had trouble finding it. Now you can jam out to "hold my 'ish" together whenever you want with your kids!

The LP Underground is celebrating their 18th year this year and has issued a new line of merch to celebrate. With Linkin Park still on a break after 2017, it was expected that no new music would be issued for this year's LPU edition. LPU Basics Collection "This year LPU (Linkin Park Underground) turns 18. It's incredible to look back at all the special moments and connections that have happened all over the world with fans online, at LPU events, and of course at the live shows. Today we are launching a new collection called LPU Basics - a classic assortment of LPU branded merchandise tailored for you, the LP community. For now, there won't be the usual "bundle" for year 18, but each new LPU Basics item is available for purchase in the LPU Store, exclusively for LPU members." "As usual LPU Digital Memberships are available year round for $10 (annually) at http://lpunderground.com - Current members that hold the "LPU 17 Bundle + Membership" will be switched to the standard LPU Digital Membership to reflect your account. If your auto-renew option is turned on, your account will renew as an LPU Digital Membership going forward. You may change your auto-renew status anytime."

Mark Morton & Chester Bennington Song Update
hahninator replied to lpliveusername's topic in Newswire
I agree. One thing that really has surprised me over the years is that they never released more "making of" footage for Hybrid Theory. We know they have some of it. You can even see some in the One More Light music video. I bet they have some really awesome videos from that era. -
While Mike's show in Las Vegas didn't exactly start like a normal show since he covered "It's Tricky" by Run-D.M.C. to open the show, the rest of the set was flowing pretty much like normal. That is, until "Over Again" went to transition into "Papercut" in the popular medley.... "Ladies and gentlemen, we have a special treat for you tonight... FROM THE BAND LINKIN PARK... Dave "Phoenix" Farrell!" And just like that, Phoenix was back! Fans remember Phoenix joining Mike at LoveLoud in Salt Lake City this past July, guesting on "Running From My Shadow". This is the first time Mike has been back out west since then, having traveled to Asia, Europe, and the eastern United States. And he wasted no time in getting Linkin Park members involved once again as Phoenix came out on "Papercut", playing it for the first time since the 2017 Hollywood Bowl show. That wasn't all, though. Since "Papercut" closed the main set, Phoenix came back out in the encore for "Make It Up As I Go", "Castle Of Glass", "Remember The Name", and "Running From My Shadow". Fan reactions to Phoenix joining Mike have been absolutely overwhelmingly positive and of course, everyone is happy to see them back together again on stage. Whether this is just for the time being or this is one step closer to a Linkin Park reappearance in the future, we'll take it! As an added bonus, Phoenix was a part of Mike, Matt, and Dan's Halloween costume idea... with the three of them decked out as Run-D.M.C. members, Phoenix acted as the "overzealous fan" of the band. Phoenix took to Twitter after the show, saying, "Great times tonight with @mikeshinoda in #LasVegas ! And Who’s got some good pics/videos??? #PostTraumaticTour" Looking ahead, Mike performs in Los Angeles and Anaheim this week so we could see Phoenix again, or possibly even Joe Hahn, who guested with Mike on "Castle Of Glass" in May!
