Linkin Park kicked off their very first headlining tour in the United States on January 26th, 2001 at the Showbox Theater in Seattle, Washington. Dubbed the "Street Soldier Tour", the tour took the band across the United States for 19 shows in a month, headlining such cities as Seattle, Las Vegas Chicago, New York City, and Washington DC for the first time. At the first show of the tour, the band debuted a new 13 song setlist, including the first performances of 'High Voltage' (Reprise Version), 'Crawling', and 'Pushing Me Away'. What we do know is that this first tour was full of high-energy shows and the band really had their asses kicked the first few nights, later saying that playing full, headlining setlists was a drastic change from the 30 minute slots they were used to playing prior to 2001! Up until this point, we thought that the radio station had aired five songs from the headlining performance on 107.7 The End a day or two after the show. However, when our good friend and long time contributor Felipe contacted the station to upload the recording we've been searching for, we discovered that Linkin Park played a five song performance for radio winners BEFORE the show. This is a previously unknown performance! And it means that the live debut of 'Crawling' was actually for radio winners in an exclusive performance before their headlining show later that night. This also means that the 'Papercut' we posted about in February 2009 allegedly from the December 6th, 2001 Seattle, WA show is really from this session. 26.01.2001 Seattle, WA, Showbox Theatre, 107.7 The End "Endsession" SETLIST: 01. Crawling (Live Debut) 02. Papercut 03. Points Of Authority 04. In The End 05. One Step Closer Download mp3 - 320 kb/s (Right click -> Save as...) Enjoy! Huge thanks to Felipe for getting this for us 10 years later! Fixed download. Original files directly downloaded from the website, includes the Full Session as well.

A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES (Linkin Park x Steve Aoki)

Same. Anyone here waiting for the rest of the CD to hear it like me? -
What the fuck at the box set. I'll pick the CD up if it's good. Need to hear the other remixes first because every remix under the LT subscription save one have been absolutely terrible.

https://twitter.com/livestp Due to the severe lack of interest from the LP community in what STP is doing with their live shows, our live coverage has moved to the new STPLive Twitter account.

My account there has now been banned from posting. Look at all of my posts, I said literally nothing even semi offensive, etc. Wow. Crazy fucking admins.

Today Stone Temple Pilots play their sixth show of their current USA Tour in Newkirk, Oklahoma at the Council Bluff Event Center. Filter will be joining them as usual. At the last show, the band took a break from their headlining tour to open for Mötley Crüe in Oklahoma City, OK on the 13th. There, they played an abbreviated 13 song setlist. Unfortunately, Chester did not join Mötley Crüe for 'Home Sweet Home' at the show! And Richard from Filter didn't join STP for 'Piece Of Pie' as far as we know. We're still waiting to see if STP will debut a new song from their forthcoming EP or if they'll change the set at all this tour. After this show, the band technically has 5 legit headlining STP shows remaining for this tour, but they are playing two festivals and a Florida Panthers Event later in the tour. At their next show, they will be in Sunrise, Florida on the 17th at the BB&T Center, the same venue that kicked off the Linkin Park A Thousand Suns North American Tour in 2011. A rare show in South Carolina follows that. For the full 2013 tour schedule for STP, click here. SETLIST: 01. Down 02. Big Bang Baby 03. Vasoline 04. Dead & Bloated 05. Out Of Time 06. Silvergun Superman 07. Church On Tuesday (Guitar Solo Ending) 08. Big Empty 09. Sour Girl (2008 Guitar Solo Version) 10. Interstate Love Song 11. Pop's Love Suicide (2013 New Ending) 12. Hollywood Bitch 13. Sex Type Thing 14. Sex And Violence ---------------------------------------------------- 15. Wicked Garden 16. Piece Of Pie 17. Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart

So far not a lot of discussion about the song. Do you guys like it or dislike it? -

Did it leak? -
Yeah they went and it was Brad, Joe, Mike and Dave. No Rob or Chester. they tested the game out and were given some beer. I think that's about it.

After taking this in and being to think about it for a few hours, my opinion is that this is a good idea and cool for the fans. I think getting the COG remix we've been begging for since March (almost 9 months ago) is great and we also have quite a few other songs on there. In particular, the VICTIMIZED remix by Mike and the SKIN TO BONE remix featuring Ryu (who is a great rapper) sound solid. What I don't like is that most of the fanbase that ordered from LP.com to get the remix subscription will also be the ones buying this release, but I DO understand where the band is coming from. For example, with the LT remix subscription we got 3 BID remixes + a fan BID remix so 4 total. We also had 2 UNTIL IT BREAK remixes. With this release, the band is obviously picking the best remixes from all of the available remixes they have and they're releasing them. I'd probably do the exact same thing. And we can be grateful this release is so many songs versus just 6 for an EP or something. Like it or not, they're definitely giving back to the fans here with a cool release. This should more than make up for the nonsense that happened at the end of the LT remix subscription period: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9812 We were missing one remix total plus two LOST IN THE ECHO contest winner remixes....3 total but this release definitely makes up for it. Bring it on. I'm buying it

On the 13th, Stone Temple Pilots will take a short break from their U.S. headlining tour to play a one-off show at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma's OKC Downtown Airpark, where they will be opening for Mötley Crüe. STP will play just before Mötley Crüe and will play after Hinder, Filter (who is opening for STP on their U.S. tour) and Texas Hippie Coalition. The show starts at 4:00pm with gates at 2:30pm, meaning Stone Temple Pilots should get at least a 45 minute set. This means that the band will have to shorten their set... What do you think they'll play for this show? So far on this tour, they have stuck to the same setlist (this one) at their headlining shows, but we do expect a few changes to eventually come this tour as the release of the new EP "High Rise" gets closer and closer! After this show, the band headlines a show in Newkirk, OK on the 14th before heading back east for a show in Sunrise, FL on the 17th with more southeastern shows to shortly follow after that. For the full STP tour schedule including setlists from past shows and a list of what shows the band has coming up, click here. SETLIST: 01. Down 02. Big Bang Baby 03. Vasoline 04. Dead & Bloated 05. Out Of Time 06. Big Empty 07. Interstate Love Song 08. Pop's Love Suicide (2013 New Ending) 09. Sex Type Thing 10. Sex & Violence 11. Wicked Garden 12. Piece Of Pie 13. Trippin' On A Hole In A Paper Heart - Chester did NOT perform 'Home Sweet Home' with Mötley Crüe unfortunately.

I think this is possible to happen with LPU 13.
-
That would hands down be terrible. Resell the damn remixes we already paid for?? Wtf. I highly doubt they'd do that. Anything more than 1 BID remix on there.... lmao that's hilarious. Surely we'll get A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES, the epic CASTLE OF GLASS remix from LPTV, maybe a few new songs with Steve, some other guest spots on remixes, etc. Maybe a Shinoda remix of something.
-
It's beneficial for them to say on Warner but they might go independent if it means they can release music quicker and more often. We will see. Trent Reznor didn't earn much when NIN went independent and it was stressful when they had to market out the albums, etc so he went with Columbia for this latest album. I would rather LP go independent, or start their own label, versus stay on Warner but I'm not sure what'll happen. I think after LIVING THINGS they have one more right to fulfill their contract?

Freezes my Chrome and I have to restart it when I play it. Oh well lol

How many songs do you think will be on it?

The new Linkin Park interactive game "LP Recharge" has been released. Here's what the press release has to say: "LP Recharge is officially out. Starting today you can play the game and work together to unlock our new single with Steve Aoki, A LIGHT THAT NEVER COMES. Once the song is unlocked you can stream it for free on XBOX Music. Play LP Recharge here: https://apps.facebook.com/lprecharge/" Has anyone started playing the game yet?

I hope that 'CASTLE OF GLASS' remix from LPTV is on there. And wtf happened to the Shinoda Meteora remixes from 2003? I wonder if we'll ever get one of those on an LPU album.
-
Oh hell yeah that's my favorite Seether song. The random scream/jam to start the second verse is fucking epic.
