I don't think there is a live show included by the band. Lockout sometimes filmed live shows, but like lpliveusername says, I think this one is just the rehearsal, interview, random footage, etc. Yeah I'd guess there are more than 3 rehearsal songs, I mean what band would only rehearse 3 songs total? lol

I offered him $5,000 in 2018 for the tapes. He countered with $50,000. He isn't selling anything to fans unless you have that much, or unless LP themselves come knocking on the door.

According to the article those are real numbers. 50% of the rights of CB's stuff. It isn't just pre-MTM, it is everything. It's LP merch going forward, it's LP music going forward that Chester has writing credits on, it's back catalogue releases. Say for example they put some vocals of his in a "Requiem" style song on the new album, yes that counts. LP is like 1/6 or could be 1/7 with the label, I have zero clue how LP's money is split up. Remember there is a child on the ex wife's side so that plays a very big part in this. I don't know how legit it is that she can block something. Mike released ITE/Numb from the PT tour. It's also not in her interests to block any music as that brings in a lot of money on that 50% share.

Chester's ex wife gets 50% of the publishing of Chester's material, 50% proceeds from Chester's portion of the tour merch, and 50% rights to his recorded material. This has played out very badly with Nirvana and Soundgarden. I think it must be set up where she cannot veto no and hold up an entire release or project. I really think if all 6 of LP + label + Talinda all say "Yes" to something, this one "No" doesn't hold something up. I think it just solely means she gets proceeds from it. I imagine lawyers for the label and band have set this up VERY smartly well over a decade ago should something happen to a member of LP. Thoughts?

Man he really disappeared, the last contact we had with him was from Jonas (AndOne) and he was talking to D7 in 2016. At that update, D7 was really sick and we didn't hear from him again since then. We can try again, but he hasn't been heard from in over 3 years.

I wonder what songs were on Chester's audition tape, if Fuse was one of them. I think he said Esaul was on it so it must not be the Xero tape. Maybe Rhinestone too, then. Edit: While moving files around I stumbled on a January 6, 2006 file I had on an old hard drive that says: "Xero - 10-08-97: Lynus Brook club, L.A. Setlist: 01-Rhinestone 02-The Team 03-Reading My Eyes 04-Untitled 05-Explode 06-Rhinestone (part two) 07-Now I See 08-Fuse" That's 100% fake, lol. Maybe in 2006 it was believable but with what we know about the songs now, that is as fake as can be. So I wonder what they really sold on eBay then. Maybe it got taken down for being fake or something.

Which version of My December do you think is the best one? I really like the Projekt Revolution 2002 one where the full band plays it. Sounds great. Meteora World Tour 2004 one too, Mike is on the big piano for that.

Ah ok. I am not sure but we can ask Mike for sure. The reason I don't think they re recorded them is no versions exist with Chester of those songs, so they abandoned them early. Just a guess.

The Xero tape was recorded directly to tape, the source of that info is Mike's info he sent to Derek of LPA about the Xero tape. No studio masters exist for those versions of those songs. Did they re record those four songs after the tape? Who knows but it seems unlikely unless they were going to keep working on them. Rhinestone we know was re recorded but Reading My Eyes, Fuse, and Stick N Move? I really doubt that, as Stick N Move became Runaway with a completely new demo/song.

It's Linkin Park's, regardless of if Chester is on it or not. Aka Mike. Rapology happened afterward but with Mike's blessing. Maybe people didn't know that. So what is the big issue with us doing the same process and getting the same clearance as we did with Rapology, from Mike? Yes there were some issues with us posting that stuff after 7/20 but nothing to do with Warner Bros. Working on being able to release this, we need to run it by Mike.

Pretty possible. No matter what the reason was, he really kicked ass in some of these projects. Kings of Chaos is something I really wish I saw, every time I see a video of him performing with them I am like ....damn this is legendary stuff. Chester gets a LOT of respect from other bands and artists for being able to nail those classic rock songs, the huge tracks.

Exactly right. Probably more stuff like this is on YouTube and we truly have no idea. We tried; no reply. We've known about the video for quite some time and the people that have it keep changing their online aliases in an attempt to stay hidden. Combine that with the fact that it is 30 seconds max, it isn't filming the stage really at all, it's almost nothing lol. Not worth the hassle. If this was a full song we'd give it more of a shot.

I am sure it will be on all digital retailers due to Universal partnering with the label that the album is on. Yes, I already see the media reporting that these are new Chester vocals. The band actually has not done a good job in setting that straight, in my opinion. It makes me wonder if they are shying away from saying there are no new Chester vocals because they want to drive attention to it from folks thinking this is an all new project with new CB on it. I really have no idea, that is just a hypothesis. There's really no information on this project out there at all anyway, besides that a release is coming. No time frame, no confirmed guests, no tracks, etc.

LPC can't post the COG remix because the likely source of the CD (unconfirmed) is LP mgmt. I'd rather they have the CD so we can get the info from it, than them not have it. I understand if they can't release it legally. We will get it someday.
