  1. Please come back when you fully understand what goes on behind the scenes when we post something, what has happened since 2017, and when you stop assuming the band doesn't care.
  2. https://lplive.net/shows/2001/20010612 - 'With You' was released on the Ozzfest 2001 CD. The CD insert says, "Recorded live at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, Milwaukee, Wis. June 9, 2001 and at Deer Creek Amp. in East Troy, Wis. June 11, 2001", but a recording exists from the June 9th show and it is not from that show. There was also no show on June 11th. The Deer Creek Amphitheatre/Music Center exists (now under the name Klipsch Music Center and formerly Verizon Wireless Music Center) and is located in Noblesville, IN. We have a suitable date one day later on June 12th. While this is not 100% confirmed, it is almost certain that the recording of 'With You' came from this show
  3. If you can't understand why we would want to give the band a heads up and discuss this FIRST, after the past few leaks that we did and others did caused the band to be upset, then I don't have any idea why you would even comment in the first place.
  4. So I know the show photos are taking a while to get back up. Sorry about that. When we upgraded to the new version of the site, the photos went away but we of course still have them. It's 25,000+ photos in our archive. We'll slowly start and pick a year to get these back up one year at a time. Might take a month to do it or so but we are working on it.
  5. Just running it by them as a courtesy
  6. We would love nothing more than to post it right now, trust me haha. We are working on it. Basically with what happened with the OML demo that leaked and all that, we would just like to extend the courtesy to the band to ask them if it's alright with them. If this was pre-2017 we'd post it immediately. But after 2017 I'd like to just get an OK from LP first.
  7. I think at the end of the day, money talks and everyone wants to get paid (I am talking about Chester's family) as money goes to his estate no matter who is involved in it. If LP does absolutely nothing then that obviously doesn't help them monetarily at all. That should be enough incentive to give LP the thumbs up to do what they want. Even other bands talk about how professional LP comes across with their branding, image, marketing, etc so it isn't like LP would do something irresponsible with Chester material, they are a very very smart band and know what to put out and what not to put out.
  8. It's basically like - she controls his estate since she was married to him, even though yes she didn't come into his life until 2004-2005. However this is much better than his ex wife controlling it. I didn't know that about the old stuff. Trust me Talinda has been as good as we could hope for with a situation like this. She OK'd Cross Off with Mark. Mike said they met with her almost immediately to have the hard conversation (2017) about releasing LP stuff in the vault and she gave them the OK to do it. She fully supported OML Live, etc. All future LP releases with Chester won't have any drama from her involved, I'm pretty positive of that. I do think LP and their label are absolute experts with the legal situation, so surely his ex wife can't block an entire release herself? Right? At the same time that she was trashing everyone, everything, etc there was no issue releasing the pre-MTM songs on OML Live. I don't know any details of what is going on there but I would think she can't be the sole inhibitor of something.
  9. Well I would hope so. She's been OK'ing everything so far, much better than the situations going on with Cobain and Cornell.
  10. Talinda Bennington has posted a lengthy message about Grey Daze for fans of Chester's music, via her social media platforms. The new Grey Daze project is rumored to be released sometime in early 2020 with work being completed this year by the band. Read Talinda's statement below: "One of Chester's greatest gifts was music. The only thing he took more pride in was being a father to his children. Given how much he cared, he wanted fans to hear everything he did, and his musical journey started with Grey Daze. In February 2017, Chester and his bandmates began re-recording their music for a planned re-release of the band's early music and by June, he announced that Grey Daze was reuniting and would be playing a 20th anniversary reunion show that fall. He was so enthusiastic about doing this, he was eager to play rock music and there were messages in those songs he knew would be meaningful to fans. It also meant a lot to him to be working with his Grey Daze bandmates, Sean Dowdell (with whom he had a very special friendship, and was a business partner in Club Tattoo) along with Mace Beyers, and Cristin Davis. He'd known them more than half of his life. When Chester passed away, Grey Daze's reunion seemed like an afterthought to everyone involved, they were suffering, I was suffering, and there were way too many emotions to work through before we could even think about what would happen to that project. Once the clouds lifted a bit, once we could focus on what Chester would want us to do, we looked for a way to continue what Chester was working on, the things he was proud of and wanted to share with his fans. The Grey Daze project is one the ways we can continue to tell Chester's story and connect with his fans. Through our foundation, 320, I endeavor every day making sure Chester's legacy shines a light for positive change. For us, releasing a new Grey Daze album will shine a light on where my husband started and hopefully give his fans a better understanding of his art and a more full picture of his journey through this incredible music. -Talinda Bennington December 10, 2019"
  11. Yeah great point. Let's see what happens in 2020. Hard place for the band to be, I never would imagined this would have happened to them with their world crashing down on them at such a big time in their career so I'm sure they are doing the best that they can. The last thing I want to do is be critical of what they are doing 2017-2019.
  12. I don't disagree it's a cool move to release a "Best of THP Tour" compilation to the LPU (not sure on logistics of that or if the band would even approve that happening) but Mike demos or a live show from Mike. That "Crossing A Line" demo was cool, maybe Mike has more stuff like that. 6 songs or something, bam, there's your LPU music. They may want to keep the LPU music LP-related which is why they haven't done that. But they did release some DBS live stuff + the Chris Cornell song (Hunger Strike).
  13. No problem. I don't want to come off as rude. I was just saying why it makes sense for the LPU to do what they are doing. If I take a step back as one of the more hardcore fans and then look at the big picture of things, I can't blame them for what they are doing. I don't know if I could do it any better. If people are complaining about merch designs, realize they are for the first time having to deal with 3 years of the same LP logos/designs. Since OML era, nothing has been redeveloped for LP's logos and branding yet. When we get a new album look for that to change and more unique LPU merch will come.
  14. Pretty ignorant comment; thought you would have a better opinion than that. LPU isn't dead, in the last year~ it was just as active as it was during the OML era for LP. Mike M&Gs, Mike presales, Mike contests and events for only LPU members, etc. All that stuff. If the LPU didn't exist, how in the world would you do any of that? You have to keep it going. If you shut it down in 2019 and LP returned in 2020, then you have no fan club online. No heart/no soul? They just went into their archives and dug out all of the LPUTV videos and are working with us on getting more up there. My goal (outside of LPL) is to make sure everything is archived properly and correctly with LP and they are very responsive to that and want to do what they can to see that through. They are working on getting more stuff up. The bundle is fine, it's $39 for a shirt and all those accessories plus a travel bag. Of course I bought that, one shirt from the LP store or LPU is a comparable price to that entire bundle. Why in the world would they release music to the LPU right now? Besides any legal stuff going on, there is no need for LP to release anything musically to the LPU in 2019. The amount of press and publicity that would come from their first post-Chester release... and it's a set of (meh) demos? Na. They need to release a song and album, then the LPU will continue with music I'm sure. Coming up on 20 years of the LPU in 2021 as well, so you know they will celebrate that in a good way. But the band's first release post-Chester isn't going to be demos. Especially with how self-conscious they are about their image. If they put out 9 demos today it would be global music news for ages and drawing attention to something that doesn't need that much attention. They are much smarter than that and if you have paid attention to them focusing on their brand and image, you'd understand that's not something they'd do.

  16. The mix of the song in the video sounds like it is different than the single.
  17. This sounds like the guy I was arguing with on Reddit about Meteora and Warner. The misconceptions you have of the label with MTM seem so weird to me and are based on nothing factual, at least that I can tell. LP completely changed their sound with MTM and went #1 globally with the album and one of their biggest songs ever, What I've Done. By all means it was a smash hit. Sure, the label likely told them they need a big single to push the album but they certainly didn't tell them to change the style or sound of the album ... just listen to the final result. MTM for what it's worth is a fantastic album. "i just think they hated Warner since the beggining, and sometimes, in some albums, you can see that clearly" I also disagree with this strongly. Warner has given them *100%* artistic freedom since at least ATS from what I can tell as a fan. And I only say that because of my MTM comment above. LP is who picked Catalyst and Guilty All the Same as lead singles when it was very obvious those songs weren't going to do anything on radio when you had tracks like Waiting for The End and Final Masquerade. They seem like quite a supportive label to me, they work with the fans a lot and go to bat for LP when it matters. Also, whoever said "the more underground they go on the next record, the better" - that is not true in my opinion. I think LP needs a very, very quality product with some mainstream appeal to it to keep things rolling for them as a band. They can't have a complete commercial flop on this next album or it is going to affect a wide range of things with them - concert attendance, sponsorships, corporate deals, etc. We all need to be cheering for them to deliver an A+ product with a few big singles.
  18. Yeah that's it. They claim in the promo for this that Chester was going to re record all of his vocals but I have no idea how truthful that really is. The DBS stuff is what could have really been cool, because Chester had all those tweets about writing new songs in 2015-2017... maybe he would have done some new DBS. Especially with Mike releasing new Fort Minor in fall 2017 (Lift Off, etc). Nice to see you around GraDoN, long time no see!
  19. Whole show would be cool in an MTM box set someday.
  20. Recently when going through our LPLive archives, we discovered a song we had not uploaded previously. To close out 2007, Linkin Park headlined KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas in Los Angeles with a pretty eventful show. The following day, 'What I've Done' and possibly a few other songs were broadcasted on KROQ. Fast forward to July 20, 2017 when KROQ was doing their tribute to Chester. During that tribute hour by Ted Stryker, they broadcasted 'Numb' from the show, professionally mixed. We were lucky to have caught it, and now you can listen and download it below. It's an excellent performance of 'Numb'! Download here. Enjoy!
  21. I don't disagree that a cool move would be a "DSP" style release of a Mike Shinoda live Post Traumatic Tour show. That is what the LPU should have even done in between CDs in 2015 when the USA tour got canceled... I would have mixed up Orlando or Nashville and given it out for free to the LPU because the tour got canceled.
  22. I'd strongly argue that LP's first release after CB would not be a fan club demo or fan club demo CD. That would go viral, everywhere, and they aren't even "album quality" songs. With how much of a perfectionist the "LP machine" is, I doubt they'd do this. Before we see anything from the LPU, I bet we get the full band announcement that they are back, an album announcement, and a single at the bare minimum. I don't think this is anything to be concerned about, they register unreleased stuff on BMI a good bit. What Are You Worth and Ricochet were on there. Pictureboard is on there. Other unreleased stuff too. One thing we do know is - LP is very good at hiding/not having anything published to BMI until after it is released, if it is a new song. So I'd even argue that having it on BMI now means there is no release planned lol. Just my 2 cents.
  23. LP has filmed every single concert from the ATS period to present day, like proshot of it all. They also have all the festival tapes from the shows they played. It's a genius way to archive the band for their own purposes, should they ever need any footage.
