The LPLive contest is only for people who didn't enter the official contest, due to being too young or living in a country that isn't allowed by the rules. The remixes 10, 11 and 12 were the best I think. Voted for #10.

Hmm, generally I'm very excited for this record. And I don't even want anything we've heard before, so I'm open for a change in style, I'd like some electronic influences. But reading these reviews I don't really know what to think... That reminds me of TLTGYA, Linkin Park was/is very proud of that song and announced it as the most complex work they've done or something like that. And in the end... it was just boring (in my opinion). Still, a good song, but nothing I would/could listen to over and over again. So I'm wondering if this album will be 'catchy' enough, hmm. But one can't judge by just reading a review of half of the album^^

The number of songs on Reanimation has *nothing* to do with the number of songs ATS will have, please end that discussion. Also, since the songs seem to be longer as on previous albums, a 12-track album doesn't really mean it's 'short' anymore (12x 4:30min = 54min for example).

Just checked that out and the songs (the piano parts) do sound a bit similar, although I can hardly believe that this 2002 song from a french pop.rock-group influenced The Catalyst. Most likely just a coincidence^^ http://www.chesterchaz.de/mp3/Indochine-LP.mp3

First Picture From The Videoshoot Of "The Catalyst"

Yeah that dude 7 posts above you^^ Personally, I don't really think so. Looks like Chester -

Well this 'promotion-tour' doesnt necessarily mean they're playing any shows. It's time for all the interviews for the upcoming album, for websites like streetteam.de, MTV, radio stations etc etc. Just like before MTM came out. Also, it must not only be Germany, they might visit other European countries to promote their album, too.
-
Woah, that's like... next week, lol. Streetteam.de is talking about a "Promotion-Tour" not a Promo-Tour though (ok Promo=Promotion but Promo-Tour sounds more like a real tour while Promotion-Tour makes it clear that they're coming to promote their new album)^^ Still, a secret club gig or something like that would be nice.

No I didn't mean you. That's why I added "(well, most of you)" to my previous post. I was basically talking about the stuff on page 5, with all the Adam=Mike/who's the anonymous user/single is holding up the album-stuff. I guess this puzzle is solved, Mike might take some time to tell us it's solved. And as some user stated, maybe that was the last message and we won't hear anything new from him in the next couple of days. But who knows... Edit: Yeah you're gith SomedudeRemix, the message was solved from the very beginng and there isn't much to discuss. Still I think one should act a lil bit grown-up and not spam the thread with nonsense. Yeah this is the interwebs, but there are other places for that, threads, chats. OK let's stop the discussion of the discussion not being a discussion now^^
-
Such a meaningful discussion... *cough* All you guys (well, most of you) add is stupid nonsense and stuff, as if it's some kind of kindergarten here.

That german message from http://www.lprevolution.net refered to the news on http://linkinparkbr.com/ saying "The new single is "A Thousand Suns" and will be released in the worldwide radios at the end of July or beginning of August." which has now be updated according to the thread here http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4700 to:

There wasnt even anything interesting on the image, basically all it said is there'll be a single, yet to be named, released five days before my birthday. Since it probably gets radio-play before that, the date itself is not even that important anyway, in my opinion. Release date or not, we all know the album will drop soon, only logical a lead-singe isn't that far away...
-
This is stupid. Mike wanted to give us some information, now it seems he isn't allowed to for some reason. And all we have now is a bunch of 1s and 0s^^ The time has come we need to dig out something newsworthy ourselves, leak a information that's not even that surprising, bam Warner strikes again and takes that info down. Hell there wasn't even the name of the single posted yet. Anyway, a new single five days before my birthday, not bad.
-
Bust this doesn't necessarily mean that's the first time we're going to hear that song, does it? Or is that also the first date radio stations are allowed to play that track?
-
As mentioned above: Maybe it's really just about the release-date? 10/11/(20)10, October 10th 2010, like the US people write their dates. Maybe the text itself is irrelevant and the real info is just the date? Edit: But that wouldn't involve any google searching, so it's probably just a coincidence. Edit2: The people over at LPA seem to have some quite good solutions, about solar flares and stuff.

Shame on Astat for not fully decoding the binary code message yet!^^ jk

I think Mike's bored. Seems like the album is done but for some reason they can't reveal any details yet...
-
The US really got some weird venue names oO Here the 'Color Line Arena' became 'O2 World', that's okay - although I'm afraid all european venues will become a 'O2 World' or 'O2 Arena' (Allez les bleus...)

With almost 200 replies I don't expect anyone to actually read through the favorite moments, anyway, here are mine in order to enter the drawing. What is your favorite Linkin Park live moment and why? From 2000 to now, whether it's a show you've been to or not, what is your favorite moment of the band's live history? 27.05.2007 - Hamburg, Germany, Color Line Arena Being behind the first wave-breaker first, I was finally let to the area close to the stage during the second song. From time to time I managed to get pretty close to the stage, and although I've been to the small club gig in Berlin the month before, I've never seen Chester singing that close to me before. I'm male, but to see Chester that close and seeing the effort in his face singing and screaming was absolutely beautiful! 16.01.2008 - Hannover, Germany, TUI Arena Many great moments here, being the first concert of 2008, live debut of 'VD' etc. Favorite moment though was when Chester went to the crowd during 'Crawling'. I'm loving that song and luckily I was close to the point he went to the crowd, everyone pushed and wanted to get closer. I managed to touch the hand he held his microphone with while he was pointing it at us. I was singing my lungs out, but while I had no breath anymore he just continued to hold the notes as if he never needs to breathe. That was impressive! 27.06.2008 - Berlin, Germany, Waldbühne Might be my favorite LP concert I've ever been to, with a great crowd. Most beautiful moment was when Mike and Chester went down the 'catwalk' that lead into the crowd during the awesome part of 'In The End'. They let us sing the 'I've put my trust'-part while Mike was pointing his mic-stand at the crowd (makes no sense but nice gesture). At the end/outro of the song Chester was hugging Mike, made a bow, and while the last notes were played they went back to the stage. This moment was so beautiful it almost made me cry (don't laugh at me)!

That's a surprise. Don't even think LP wants it to be a Radio single, but who knows. Either they're just playing the MP3 that's floating around or they got an actual Radio Promo, what would be good for us if it leaks (desperate for a higher quality version), but I kinda doubt it. Anyway, I think I only listened to that song like 5 times yet, that tops 'Not Alone' by 4 plays though, lol.
-
Well, first of all, this isn't lost. Secondly, announcing to upload some official material is kinda weird, but then again... GO PIRATE! ^^ Random info: I think when they were first shared, it wasn't via a torrent but more like one song a week, one some website, me thinks it might've been ChesterSings.
-
Makes sense to me, interesting read. Their live performance is one of the things that made LP big, and it's the reason a became a "'fan" and not just a "listener", Chester ftw!
-
Would be nice if they actually sold "Blackbirds", too. I already start to think we have to live with hat 128kbps MP3 version...

Northern Germany?
