  1. I got the tickets, but so much for the tickets being an LPU pre-sale.
  2. I know. I have no idea what the hell is up. I hoping that maybe if the Ticketmaster sale starts at 10am, maybe it can only be reached through a link from the LPU. I know that makes about 1% of sense (I've been to tons of shows and nothing like that has ever happened). I just can't understand why there's no info. If this goes wrong, between it and the LPUX bull, I'm going to be quite upset.
  3. A comment on the LPU page says the pre-sale is at 10am and the general on sale is at 3pm. I'm still waiting for an e-mail or something though. I really want to get these tickets.
  4. When I download the bundle from the website, the mp3s aren't there either.
  5. The front page of the LPU has been redesigned to match the ATS artwork and it says that LPUX online memberships can be pre-ordered. LPU9 memberships are no longer available. Also it mentions that the LPU website will be moving from lpunderground.com to linkinpark.com/lpu and the"new" LPU will launch in October. http://www.lpunderground.com/join Thoughts? It seems the LPU is getting totally revamped. Hopefully this means the CD still stays awesome! EDIT: There is a new 2008 unreleased demo available for download when you preorder, entitled "Pretend To Be"! Go check it out!
  6. I think the idea is why wouldn't LP give their fans a break on their website?
  7. Good to know for sure, since I pre-ordered from Amazon. I guess the price on LP.com reflects the bonus stuff?
  8. I find it funny people are actually bitching about this. We heard the vocal stem and how effected it was. It's blatantly obvious and Mike even discussed some of the effects used, which are all going to change things. If they were trying to mask something, they wouldn't have released the stem or this video.
  9. I think it's pretty cool to see the range of stuff Mike is trying to do. Talent is talent outside of rock/hip-hop/pop or whatever, and I think Mike could be the next Rick Rubin.
  10. Damn, the iTunes link doesn't work in the US yet.
  11. Awesome!
  12. Guess it makes sense before all the radio rips spread. NOW i'm wishing i pre-ordered it, lol.
  13. I have a feeling I might know where you work, but I'd be careful. Certain items are so hyped, if they're sold early, the company faces a large penalty for that. My former job once faced $10,000 if ONE copy of the a certain DVD was sold, but the box somehow made its way out onto the floor. Think of an Easter Egg hunt with a crazy amount of pressure. Sorry if that seems like a lecture, but I've seen long time employees get in a lot of trouble for this stuff.
  14. It's really awesome to see the band talking to each other so candidly and offering that to the fans. It makes me really more appreciative for what they're trying to do with this album thus far.
  15. I've never even seen a Saw movie! Catch-up time, I guess. That scream makes me think "AH! I hate you so much right now!"
  16. Currently, the presale is nowhere to be found (did he announce it too early?), but I'm hoping presale on lp.com = tracklist.
  17. Chester just posted this on Twitter: Hey everyone. The new linkin park record. "A Tousand Suns" is available for presale @ linkinpark.com today!!! Yeah!! http://twitter.com/ChesterBe/status/19262233615
  18. Thanks for that. I extracted the audio from it to play it for someone. I thought some other people might want it, so here: (if you really need high quality 10 seconds, lol) http://www.mediafire.com/?gdlfox7ielbreai It's a bit better than that mp3. I hope a clip goes up soon on Amazon MP3. They tend to post clips and the purchase page (with a not available tag) about a week before a song is released.
  19. As far as the special edition, a CD/DVD would follow the format of the last two albums. As for the questions about pre-orders, sometimes different retailers have different pre-order bonus tracks. For example, Depeche Mode's last album had 2 Best Buy pre-order bonus tracks, 1 iTunes pre-order track and some region only exclusive tracks. In addition, there were bonus tracks available without a pre-order. All in all, there were quite a few digital only tracks. Quite a few other bands have done similar. MTM had bonus tracks on iTunes, Best Buy and Walmart. What sucks is that half the time, it's live or remix tracks (the Depeche Mode tracks were ALL remixes). I'm gonna wait until we get more details, but I'm sure I'll get the special edition, especially if the packaging is as cool as the MTM book.
  20. There's a "save locally" option next to the solo button. This leads me to believe you can save them to your PC, I just can't get it to work or figure out how. "Load Local Track" takes a audio file from your computer, wouldn't "save locally" do the opposite?

    Puzzle #2

I mostly agree with you, but from what Chester has said in interviews about his religion, I wouldn't be too concerned. I don't think the mention of God is meant to alienate anyone. I think it is what it is in the context of the puzzle. The last on drew from Hinduism, so I don't think the album is going to have any religious agenda.

    Puzzle #2

I mentioned the Wired article in the thread for the last puzzle. I don't think it's relevant information anymore. I think it's important that Mike said "Now, please erase all the stuff you’ve filled your minds with regarding ASCII, double discs, release dates, concepts, Trinities, the Matrix, and FIRIN’ MAH LAZARS!". I think "The Catalyst" works with the whole message to get to something. I think the problem we had last time was getting to abstract. The answer was in the quote derived from the binary. I think it's best to take an Occam's razor approach. I read far too much Hindu scripture last time just to solve a puzzle.
  23. Using wiki, "Shiva" is the Destroyer of Trimurti, sometimes called the Great Trinity. EDIT: Another Bhagavad Gita quote: Of horses, know Me to be the nectar-born Ucchaisravas; of lordly elephants, Airavata and of men, the monarch
  24. Yeah, just read that over at LPA. I hope we're not back to square one. I still think the Atomic Age is relevant.
  25. Someone made reference to Eiao island on the LPMB. Again, another possible tie-in to nuclear weapons.
