Thanks for the heads up! I really liked the Kick The Bass EP, and these remixes have been pretty cool. Is there a list of songs that have been released? I have the EP, This Machine, Waking Up, Death to Analog and Look at U. Can anyone let me know if I'm missing anything else?

Thanks! I keep noticing little spelling errors in it though! I did meet Sal for a few. My friend has one LP tattoo and she started talking to him. It took me a minute to realize it was him, but I knew I'd seen him before. I think his leg or something was messed up that day. That's the one picture I didn't take, so I didn't notice Mark so much. Too busy paying attention to the other guy, lol. That show we only had a disposable camera, so the only good pictures came from the M&G. I'm not complaining about that, but the show pics you can only see the ferris wheel, lol.

Sorry! I know that feeling though. I didn't go to Roseland Ballroom on the LPU tour when it was free! I was in a really bad place then, but I heard stories from people who went about how great it was and I wish I would have put together plans to go.

Here's my review, hope you all enjoy: Seeing LP play Bamboozle was a strange experience, although an amazing one that set up the year to come. My decision to go to Bamboozle was thought out for a while. I was on the fence about going to a festival show again, but with an amazing bunch of bands playing and LP revealed as a headliner for their first US show back, I happily said goodbye to a large sum of money. This was my second show. My first had been in 2004 at Jones Beach, but I was much younger then. There was a long break in between the two shows and in that time my feelings on LP had been mixed up and I was really nervous about the album. Shortly before the date came, I learned that my girlfriend, another friend and I had all been selected for the LPU Meet and Greet and we were all incredibly excited. Omitting a bit of details in between, I finally found myself waiting near a gate in heat and knowing LP weren’t far off. A small group of LPU members were led back behind the gate and eventually a white van showed up and LP jumped out. The whole thing seems really blurry and happened very fast, but the guys were really nice and signed my copy of Meteora and Chester even posed for photos with us! Mike broke the rules a bit, sneaking stuff over and through the gate and signing it for non-LPU members! Now I was insanely excited about the show and we rushed up toward the stage and got fairly close. It seemed like forever standing there, waiting for the band to come out. Finally, the intro of OSC started and the place broke out into pits instantly. I was in shock to hear LP OPEN with this, but it was an amazing curveball. There was the crunch of empty water bottles every other step and a mass of people just going insane. Mike got the crowed fired up with “Lying From You” and then finally they gave us the new stuff. The pounding, militant sounding new songs (“No More Sorrow” and “Given Up”) sent everyone even crazier than before, which seemed unbelievable. Everything finally came to a head during “Papercut”. The excitement was high as the band revisited Hybrid Theory, but I’ll admit that being so close to the pit and the throwing bottles became more than we could handle, so we fell back. The rest of the show felt like re-grouping and is blurry, but when the encore hit all my energy went full force into the show and I think my neck suffered permanent damage during the end of “Faint” due to head banging. Hearing these old songs all over again and getting a look at what the band was doing with the new songs sent my excitement sky-high about the band again. If anyone knows how to download the source mp3s from MySpace, the LOATR remix sounds much better than the version I posted. I don't know if it's cool to actually post, but it's not very hard to get songs from MySpace. Just a heads up.

I really think that with the way some of the posts I've read with the reactions people have had, I really hope Mike did do it as a slap in the face - you need one. Everyone was so dead-set against "We don't want live tracks", but didn't offer up any alternative. I thought about this a lot the other day, and I think that it could have been done better. However, I can say that because I've the LPU, I've had a wealth of exclusives, though maybe not in CD form. I've had connections with people to find out about demos and b-sides I wouldn't have otherwise and hands down, the only reason I need is that thanks to an LPU presale, I got to sit the the 7th row (which was constructed in a way in which it was pretty much the 4th row). Think over the good things you have. Maybe they fouled up a bit on this one, but they could have done a lot worse.

Before saying anything, I do want to say that I really respect the band very much. However, I think this was an extremely poor choice on their part. The problem is that people are always looking for Mike to dig up some demos and stuff that he either just does not have, or is not willing to release. But that isn't what this CD needed to be. The CD could have focused on something like, for example, the Leave Out All The Rest (M. Shinoda Remix) was only released on a Japanese CD that would cost about somewhere over $20 to import. As a member of the fan club, I would say that if that was on the CD - saving people from having to import a single for a large amount of money, I would be more than happy. This could also be said for the other CD Singles, as they are now out of print and it's hard to get your hands on them. Couldn't a CD look something like this, for example? "Papercut (Live BBC Radio Session), Leave Out All The Rest (M. Shinoda Remix), BUY_MYSELF (Marilyn Manson Remix), No Roads Left" These are all tracks that are either out of print or extremely expensive to own in a physical form if you do not live in that respective country. I feel like this CD was a completely miss opportunity, with the jokes not being quite enough to really merit it's purchase (sorry guys, just not my brand of humor, I guess?). If the band felt the pressure to release a CD and didn't have anything, LPU 8 could have been designed in a different fashion. Gasp? No CD? Yes, if it would stop people from complaining. The package is expensive - so I remember when I first heard LPU 2.0's CD, I really felt like it was worth it - an exclusive CD with great tracks. However, yeah, the CD sucks. But I'm not gonna loose much sleep over it.

I think the idea is that they become out-of-print CDs, therefore making them exclusive to the LPU. However, with downloading, that's less of an exclusive. Add that to "guest" being able to purchase from the LPU store and selling CDs on eBay for exorbitant amounts of money, and the CDs become a lot less exclusive.

No songs from LPU have managed to be exclusively for the LPU. For example, you said you'd already downloaded two songs. As soon as the right person gets a copy, it spreads like wildfire on the internet. I don't think it's farfetched to have My December from Soho - it's not been released in any physical format, only through iTunes (those who are particular about quality control would prefer the CD, plus it promotes the rest of the EP). Hopefully it's from Soho, it'd be more interesting than something already released on of the DSPs. I'm going to purchase it anyway, but I'd be more inclined to do so if it was from Soho.

Has anything been said about in being released online (though BestBuy.com)? I really don't want to go in there on Black Friday. Too bad I don't still work there! I could have gotten the tracklist like last week and saved myself a copy.

I think maybe I'll check tomorrow at mine, maybe they put them out with the new CDs today by mistake? I think I'm gonna pickup Road to Revolution while it's still on sale. I like that they added And One and Part of Me - it makes me think they didn't forget about those songs. Though the real tracklist I care about is LPU 8, obviously. And I really though for a second you wrote "StfU", ha. It says LPU 6.0, so I would assume it's the same. Does anyone know if the tracklist on the physical CD list the years like the tracklist posted?

I'm actually fairly impressed, though I may have swapped Qwerty (Studio) for the live version. And I would have taken Step Up/Nobody's Listening/It's Going Down (Live) from LPU 4.0 and put a LP/Jay-Z track from 6.0, removing the instrumental tracks. I think the mention of It's Goin' Down and a Jay-Z track would have really grabbed people. Otherwise it's pretty solid, especially for $5.99.
