  1. Iridescent For reasons already stated the last two times I voted for it.
  2. Wow, so whats this talk about the original? Are we really down to holding back information that only a handful of people care about, that isn't even relevant anymore? Hopefully I'm wrong, but that's just stupid and unnecessary. I love this band, even now, and you can't exactly log on to any site and find readily available information on them. And for what its worth, its not like anybody didn't discuss it in the original topic.
  3. Iridescent Sorry guys, but its not that great of a song. Its very cliche and brings absolutely nothing at least remotely new to the table. The lyrics are the same things LP's been writing since 2006, and the composition is not all that compelling or different. This song's reputation is stronger than anything about it. At least with songs like Blackout and The Catalyst, we got some unique songs that were still good... Iridescent is the fan boy/girl song that some hardcore LP fans masturbate to. EDIT: Because of the controversial material in this post, I think I should mention that this is all in my opinion, lol
  4. Well... It is months later, and I still like 'Pretend To Be' better. I guess my original opinion was good after all. No bias because it was new.
  5. I can't beleive there are so many votes for blackout. How disgusting. And to fuel controversy further, I can't vote for any track other than Iridescent. I can not for the life of my understand why this track gets the amount of praise it does. It's a decent song, but its one of the most cliche on the album, and incredibly overrated. That's probably why everyone likes it, haha.
  6. The Requiem Not even my favorite "interlude" on the album, lol.
  7. Wisdom, Justice, and Love The fact that Robot Boy was eliminated before the interludes shows how one dimentional a lot of LP fans really are.
  8. Awesome. I really hope they keep APFMH... With it's addition, this setlist is pretty much a perfect setlist for me. They haven't had a perfect setlist IMO since 2006, lol. I honestly have no complaints anymore, even if they are still playing Numb regularly
  9. Oh jeez... I'm pulling out the Advil now... Some of you need counseling/medication, but I digress. Just because you haven't been to a Linkin Park show, doesn't mean other fans can't hope for rotating setlists. I've only been to one show... in 2004, when their setlists were cool, and I still want rotating sets. Makes it more interesting. I can totally understand if they wait until 2011, why not get used to the new songs and transitions. No offense, but trading a few songs in and out of the set, isn't that hard. People are acting like its going to take hours of planning to trade a few songs around in the set. Unless they are completely inept at playing live, this is not true. Anybody who collects and trades live audio... The very foundation of what this website was built on, will tell you that we all got sick of hearing those four singles from HT 3 or so years ago. Where is With You, Runaway, By Myself, and A Place For My Head? The reason they say this is because they've played 3 out of the 4 songs you've mentioned at nearly every show since 2001. I, and others have admitted we want less singles in the set. We are entitled to want what we don't have until we get it... And most of us realize we all won't get what we want too. LOL, thats the whole point of rotating setlists. So they hit as much of the fanbase as possible with what they want. I beleive there used to be a thread for completely unrealistic custom setlists, like the one you described. We are not asking for impossible songs to be played, we are asking for rotating setlists, which they have done before. People will always bitch... Yes. So giving the band a note at a fan M&G, or asking them to rotate sets on their websites is harrassment? Dear God... Oh cool. Your rant is spam. What does it have to do with rotating setlists? I thought they'd appreciate how some fans have been touched by there music enough to come to multiple shows. Who the hell are you to tell people what they can and can't want? Oh man... that head ache's kicking in now. Like I've said... I've only been to one show and I still want rotating setlists. I'm sorry if you haven't been to a show yet, but that doesn't mean we all can't want something for the people who are going. (Or for those who collect the DSPs and live audio, like myself) Oh look, the classic cry of a kid who has never been to a Linkin Park show, and therefore can't even say if the same set would get boring or not many nights in a row. -------------------------- Ok, I don't want to quote anyone else. But just because we want them to rotate sets doesn't make us ungrateful. And just because you don't want it, doesn't mean others everywhere don't.
  10. Awesome! I can't beleive how much sharing is already occuring this early in the tour! Hopefully this trend continue's as we go on in the tour.
  11. Wow awesome! I love Grey Daze, and still listen to them all the time. Having all of this new information is really great. Thanks so much guys. Hopefully one day a full live Grey Daze recording will show up...
  12. The people saying putting Dead By Sunrise with Fort Minor would result in Linkin Park are just short sighted. But anyway... The Rising Tied by far. I was so much more excited for it, and I was playing it non stop for a very long time. The whole Fort Minor thing made me as excited as a new LP album would. I still listen to Fort Minor regularly. I enjoyed Out of Ashes, Let Down is one of my favorite songs of all time, but the version on OOA sucks. I found myself listening to only a couple songs by them a few months after release, and besides the odd song here or there, I barely listen to Out of Ashes anymore. As others have mentioned, the miing on this album sucks compared to The Rising Tied.
  13. See! Although I had a really rough time picking between 'Sometimes' and 'Hole'
  14. Yeah. Why should anyone voice their "opinions" on a public forum meant for open discussion? It is a nice idea. It definitely sounds like a lot of fun, and should be great for those in Europe and especially the UK. But... It does suck that its in the UK. How about those in the US that worked tirelessly to get the band noticed here before anybody gave a rat's ass overseas. I understand most of the contests are for US residents only, but who wants a dumb plaque when you can go to an LPU international summit. For those who have many complications and a life, its not easy to simply get up and travel half way across the world to a different country with less than a month's notice. We are not all kids, still in school, living on mommy and daddy's paychecks... I hate when the LPU does location specific stuff. It leaves everyone else with moderate responsibilities left out. Like most things in the LPU the last several years... Great idea's, horrible implementation. Hopefully I turn out being wrong. Hating on those who are simply dissapointed is stupid on it's own. Sorry if all of you don't like it, but thats how I feel. You can't silence all the critics, so it would be wise to learn to block them out if they annoy you. People have serious issue's these days simply ignoring something if it bothers you so much...
  15. I love Grey Daze. When I found out about their existence, I listened to this album almost as much as any LP album. Its a great CD, and I'm going to throw it on now. I love nearly every song, but if I had to pick... Oh man, I love B12, What's In The Eye, Drag, Sometimes, Hole, In Time, The Down Syndrome, and Anything, Anything very much. Oh man, Oh man.... I'm going to pick Sometimes!
  16. Mike sang the first line, lol. And in my defense, I was assuming he sang it at this show because Mike did sing it at the Argentina show.
  17. I believe thats because Mike isn't singing it with a vocoder (or whatever he used on the album), and simply singing it with his actual voice.
  18. Right you were, lol. Hell yeah, finally a good AUD recording! This recording is definitely awesome. Great quality.
  19. I'm up to 94.7% and it just started slowing down... At least its almost done, lol.... Time to pass time for a couple of hours or so
  20. Ooohh... Very, very tough. Both songs are the best on Reanimation IMO, so I'm glad they are both here, but now I have the uneasy task of voting one off.... ugh! I guess it'll have to be Krwlng!
  21. P5hng Me Aw*y would be a perfect fit in the current ATS touring cycle. Pushing Me Away has been represented in every album touring cycle in one form or another, and the Reanimation version fits best with ATS in my opinion. Reanimation is nasty (in a good way) and deserves to be represented in the set somewhere, even if its not a "real" studio album, and just remixes. Here's hoping it shows up at some point.
  22. Ok, lol. 01. The Requium / The Radiance 02. Burning in the Skies 03. New Divide 04. Wake 05. Given Up 06. Wretches and Kings 07. Journado Del Muerto 08. Waiting For The End 09. Iridescent 10. Numb 11. Blackout 12. Fallout 13. The Catalyst --------------------------------- 14. Papercut 15. One Step Closer 16. With You 17. Points of Authority 18. Crawling 19. Runaway 20. By Myself 21. A Place For My Head 22. Forgotten 23. A Cure For The Itch 24. High Voltage 25. Pushing Me Away 26. And One --------------------------------- 27. What I've Done 28. Bleed It Out 29. Faint
  23. LPU tour for Hybrid Theory anniversary. And yeah, I know this probably won't happen, for people who want to ignore the actual part of my post and simply tell me this would not happen... 01. The Requium / The Radiance 02. Burning in the Skies 03. Wake 04. Given Up 05. Wretches and Kings 06. Journado Del Muerto 07. Waiting For The End 08. Blackout 09. When They Come For Me 10. Bleed it Out --------------------------------- 11. Papercut 12. One Step Closer 13. With You 14. Points of Authority 15. Crawling 16. Runaway 17. By Myself 19. A Place For My Head 20. Forgotten 21. A Cure For The Itch 22. High Voltage 23. Pushing Me Away --------------------------------- 24. What I've Done 25. Fallout 26. The Catalyst 27. Faint
  24. Woo, I'm late for this... I just love analyzing setlists. 01. The Requiem / The Radiance 02. New Divide Glad to see they decided to open the show with The Requiem and The Radiance... I think it's weird how they decided to have it go into New Divide and not Burning in the Skies. Oh well, it makes sense, I suppose the average fan would know New Divide better. Burning in the Skies wouldn't make a good opening song anyway in my opinion. 03. Faint (Ext. Outro) 04. No More Sorrow (Long Intro) 05. Given Up (Ext. Outro) What a way to start a show. You got one of the highest energy songs by LP in 'Faint' and No More Sorrow and Given Up are the heaviest songs on Minutes to Midnight. This was sure to get people pumped, and judging by the crowd in the video's I've seen, these three songs in a row were a good choice. This is just me being nit picky, but if it was my choice, I would've swapped No More Sorrow out for Papercut or Points of Authority. I'm an old school fan, so I think if they played a song from each album here it would just be better, especially with the next song. 06. Wretches And Kings Hell yeah, right? This song is awesome. Not my favorite song on A Thousand Suns, but a damn good song for the early parts of the set where a lot of high energy songs are normally played. This song in preticular is just meant to be performed live in front of a crowd, so I'm certainly interested to see how it sounds live in person at some point. 07. Numb (Keyboard Transition Outro...) 08. Iridescent I'm not going to lie when I say that I'm completely sick of Numb in nearly every way possible. It's a good song, but they have been playing it non-stop since 2003, and haven't really done anything interesting with it, like some of the other older songs they play live. The highlight here is the keyboard transition going into Iridescent, which should be cool. Iridescent is a great song and I can just picture it being one of those big crowd sing-a-long songs. 09. Breaking The Habit Pretty much a staple in the set I guess. Not much to say about it other than I also wonder how the mix will sound on the DSP. I swear.... I've heard a million different mixes of this song live. 10. Jornada Del Muerto 11. Waiting For The End Waiting For The End should be a big single. It wasn't as messy live as I thought it would be and it's cool how they played Jornada Del Muerto before it as well. 12. In The End 13. Bleed It Out 14. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro) Finally, some Hybrid Theory. I was surprised when they only played two songs. I thought for sure they'd play these two along with Crawling, but they dropped Crawling. Good thing, because I don't think Crawling ever sounded great live... It'll probably be back. In The End is always a good song for the crowd, even if I'm nearly sick of it as well. For now, Bleed it Out works well for what it does at a live show. One Step Closer should almost always be before the encore or closing the set in my opinion... So this is good as well. 15. Fallout 16. The Catalyst Awesome way to start the encore! The Catalyst is a suprisingly good song live, and has a lot of energy. And Fallout simply goes perfectly into it. Starts off what could've been a great encore... 17. What I've Done I'm sorry, but really? I just cannot picture this being a strong closing song. In terms of lyrics and meaning, I cold see how this song is after The Catalyst, but musically, I cannot see how it can follow it and close the set. I really hope this isn't permanent, but I'll reserve final judgement for after I finish listening to the DSP. I personally would have moved What I've Done up before In The End, played Cure For The Itch after The Catalyst, and then moved One Step Closer down to close the show. Overall, this was a pretty good set. I really wish they would've have thrown in a suprise somewhere (aside from the new songs) and played a little more from Hybrid Theory and A Thousand Suns. The set also had a few weird moments (New Divide after The Requiem, What I've Done closing) but overall it should be fun to listen to on the DSP later. Here is how I would have done it (in a way that makes sense): SETLIST: 01. The Requiem / The Radiance 02. Burning In The Skies 03. New Divide 04. Faint (Ext. Outro) 05. Points of Authority (When They Come For Me over the intro (the irony here is priceless); A Place For My Head over the outro) 06. Given Up (Ext. Outro) 07. Wretches And Kings 08. Iridescent 09. Jornada Del Muerto 10. Waiting For The End 11. What I've Done 12. In The End 13. Breaking The Habit 14. P5hng Me A*wy 15. Bleed It Out ------------------------- 16. Fallout 17. The Catalyst 18. Cure For The Itch 19. One Step Closer (Ext. Outro)
  25. You're intelligent. Seriously guys, we could do without the bashing, sarcasm, and spamming. It doesn't sound exactly the same, but it is very similar. Kind of an interesting thing to point out, as I noticed this happens a lot in LP's music, lol.
