    MTV VMA's

ATS is basically a bitch slap to MTVers. 4.5-6 min songs, experimental sounds, not singing about random shit including strippers, drugs, sex, money etc...

    MTV VMA's

I got video of BIO and the first TC. I'll put them up later as I am at work atm. Video is good, audio like I said earlier wasn't the greatest.

    MTV VMA's

Got some shots. The audio quality was terrible. There is no reason why you should be 4 deep and struggle to hear the music. http://www.facebook.com/editalbum.php?aid=...100000499825956
  6. Off topic but I went to the VMA rehearsals tonight. They played TC three times and we heard snippets of Numb, Wretches and Kings, and Waiting for the End Here is a link to the album I have on FB. Security was tight so I had to sneak a few pics with my Iphone. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=4004...100000499825956 Sry if you don't have Facebook. Tune in because when LP is performing they will have aerial shots via helocopter and a shit ton of lights and smoke. MTV dropped a ton of money into this closer! Mike wanted to play more tonight but MTV shut it down so we just got to hear TC in full. Fingers crossed for 4-5 tomorrow!
  7. WIN, the word epic is floating around a bit too much these days but everything I felt is covered in this article. 9.8/10 (Missed the MS distortion in "womans voice"). Parts of me like to think that the FIF track (WTCFM) is a shot at the label, I will quote it till the day I die to the zomg bring back HT and Meteora people as I'd like to think a bit of that is directed at these fans stuck in the year 2000. Glad to see there is a reporter out there whos got a pair to actually voice this opinion. Check LPL FB to see if you agree with my VMA local prediction
  8. Wait those lucky bastards were supposed to get copies of ATS as well! Stop Bogarting the album artwork and take some pics!
  9. We are also going to be bused into this super secret outdoor stadium in LA I feel 007 special now. 7 song set gogogogo
  10. Play a double header with Muse next week!
  11. Mike was reluctant to say how many songs but it is def more than 1! Jeez the Q&A questions were dumb and rightfully so, were answered just as dumb. I'll put up some youtube links tonight for the 20 min session.
  12. I'm confused by your last statement. I'm pretty sure the things you've mentioned had anything to do with LPs issues with WBR. I think the three you've mentioned above are big boys and would have said something if Mike didn't pick them for kick ball at recess.
  13. I think the best part is that every person on this thread loves/hates different songs. Previous cds seemed to jive with what everybody hated or everybody loved. This is cool because of how personal the experience is to each individual. Wish it didn't leak until tomorrow because now I have to decide to DL it or wait until the haxxors LAZORZ show tonight to hear it again. (Already got the eargasm at the LA listening event)
  14. Gotta love listening to it with a billion watt sound system! We should ask to go back just to use the speakers!
  15. Guitar solo wasn't as prevalent as I thought it would be (I imagined an In Pieces like solo). It's there just not very solo'y. Lots of layers people! Maybe thats why I got the vibe that Ana didn't LOVE the album because she was busy jotting notes. At most I had the pen in my had for 15 seconds per song.
  16. Heavy as hell indeed! I shit brix when Grover cranked up the sound during Wretches and Kings! Thought for damn sure the windows were gonna blow.
  17. Just for your hindsight Jen was one of the only vocal people were not instantly on board with this album. She stressed that she needed to hear an album repeatedly before giving any true answers. IMO she secretly had her fingers crossed for HTIII (Not saying that is the case, just the vibe I got) With regards to not all 6 members collaborating, this is one I wanted to ask the execs. It either came down to what was mentioned above (Mike ft LP) or the guys truley went with what they wanted. LP wanted to make a record that they would like to listen too because they feel that nobody out there makes music THEY ALL like. People are quick to bash the fact that guys are not playing instruments, yes I know that is the point of a band, but we should know by now LP is not just a band.
  18. The four above hit me hard! Things that come to mind about "When they came for me" is a NIN guitar shreding sound with Blue Man Group deeeeeep drums. Blackout 30 seconds of it is pure insanity (NIN- Great Destroyer broken down in a New Divide bridge like effect) Wretches and Kings I think I had "In Stereo" hard beat matched by "There They Go" pace. I think this is the song Adam is referring to as Fort Minor ft Chester. In my opinion Ana and a few other reviews I've seen didn't convey that the listener was too excited or convinced the first time around. I think Evan and I plus a couple others in the party were just floored at the awesomeness of this sound. I wasn't surprised one bit. The thing that surprised me is Mike/ LP were so concerned that this album would be hard to swallow for awhile. It sounded like LP. I'll say it again, the tempo is similar to M2M where it mixes up songs but I was more entertained because the less aggressive songs were more uptempo because of the electronic aspects of the song. HT/M were in your face non-stop and as a teenager thats great but along with the band I have matured and like to change it up a bit. There are no "In Between" tracks on this record. I liked every single song, which the same couldn't be said for M2M + Easier to Run. If you fall into the category of I needz ELPEE to go bak to NU Metalz you will be dissapointed by the cd. No surprise. Maybe if all you like are guitar solos, you might be dissapointed, there are plenty of guitars, but there are also 8-10 different layers that you can hear at any given moment so they are not as prevalent as older stuff which would always draw you in with them. I don't think they will lose too many fans outside of these two reasons. Some people are stressing out way to much. I found myself getting excited like I did for Meteora after I listened to it, I was reassured after listening to ATS and felt those same feelings which escaped me on M2M.
  19. The songs are so diverse and not too structured clips will not satisfy you. Do not look too much into the clips. Just like TC, you could hear 3-4 different chunks and not know it is the same song.
  20. If it leaks tomorrow then everybody at the listening event will have FBI agents knocking on their door tomorrow and then taken to the middle of the desert.
  21. I was amped on the way home but after an hour and 20 minutes I forgot some of the details. I will add that the 4-5 people from the label were very inquisitive of our feedback. OOO triple word score.
  22. Grover "The guy who runs the label" sure was waving the finished product around for show and tell. I was kinda depressed that there weren't any armed guards.
  23. Basically if you didn't look at the track listing you would think it was two songs. They are basically both stand alones. It's the fact that they are both on one track that is confusing.
  24. Nah not really. IMO the interludes /stories define the story. That is really why they want you to focus on it as a whole.
