  1. Did you know that when it rains people get wet?
  2. I doubt In The End, Numb, and What I've Done will ever left out of a touring cycle. Those three songs are their biggest hits and are the three songs they are probably most recognized for.
  3. EVERYONE opens for Metallica. I don't even remember the last time they were an opening act.
  4. I believe at this point it doesn't matter if they resign with Warner or not. If they do, fine. But LP would make it just fine on their own. They headline and sell-out shows all across the globe and have only gotten bigger as time's gone on. Their name alone will keep them well afloat.
  5. I'm really not liking the minimal touring the band have done lately with both this album and ATS. Granted, it most likely frees the band up to release more albums, but considering how much touring they did for the past albums, this is very underwhelming. You got to think if this is a Warner thing to get band back in the studio because Living Things isn't selling as well as past albums or if this is LP's choice or if in fact they've just grown a disliking for touring.
  6. I'm not particularly high on LGM live either. It's probably the third song behind Forgotten and Hit the Floor that doesn't translate well live for LP.
  7. Definitely check out The Lonely Position Of Neutral by Trust Company. Great album. Their first two albums were actually produced by Don Gilmore around the time LP was working with him.
  8. I'd actually like to see MTM remixed and remastered with Joe's scratch tracks added back in. That be something cool for an LPU release.
  9. Hope they bring back Projekt Revolution.
  10. 01. Esaul 02. Slip 03. Blue 04. Dedicated 05. Stick N' Move 06. Rhinestone
  11. Lineup isn't that great aside from LP, Rise Against and Bush. Where are the heavier bands?
  12. It's the last question in the last 30 seconds.
  13. 01. Numb 02. From The Inside 03. Castle Of Glass 04. Crawling 05. Bleed It Out There was nothing at special about the videos for the singles on ATS.
  14. Nothing's going to happen. They probably don't even realize it'll be 10 years coming up. Hell, they couldn't even remember when they released ATS in that video where they were doing trivia about themselves.
  15. Both those tracks have been out since 2007. Mike only has a line or two in the chorus on 'Hey You' too.
  16. I figure after the the shows in South Africa, there won't be another tour until the Soundwave Festival shows.
  17. Their album sales are dropping from album to album but that doesn't at all mean the band is going to give it up once sales become too low. If sales dry up, they'll more than likely be dropped from their label as they'll not want to market or throw money at a group that isn't producing results anymore. Though I highly doubt they'll ever be dropped as LP, along with Metallica, are really the driving force for Warner. As far as LP going Independent, I don't think that would affect them at all. At this point in their career, LP is a house hold name across the world. They'll still sellout shows and headline festivals all over. They reached "gigantic and legendary status" ages ago. When it comes to LP calling it quits, I don't see it happening for the forseeable future. If bands such as The Rolling Stones can make still be making music and touring after 50 years, LP can do the same. Though I cringe at the sight of a 70 year old Mike rapping.
  18. If the band is going with more aggressive setlists these days, I think any song that isn't a ballad or slower paced has the possibility to return. However, songs like Forgotten and Hit the Floor will more than likely never return. Not because they're bad songs, but because they don't translate well live.
  19. Nobody's Listening (2:58) doesn't have screams.
  20. Fred and Lethal maybe, but Wes, John, and Sam are awesome. I'd even argue that Wes is superior to Mike and Brad combined.
  21. Not surprised to see "In The End" and "Numb" top the list. Those are arguably the two songs LP will likely be remembered for. Casual or not.
  22. Should've been called Adam Levine: Overexposed. Seriously, is there even a band there anymore? Like the last album, this one sounds like it was just him and a bunch of producers getting together to write the songs. Not to mention he's the only one in the music videos.
  23. An MTV music award had credibility back in the day. For instance, that same year (2002 VMA's), P.O.D. was nominated for Video of the Year, and the year before that, Mudvayne won the MTV2 Award. The network respected all forms of music and focused on the creativity of music videos, and not just giving an award to a popular artist for the sake of ratings like they do nowadays.
  24. I remember seeing that year's VMA's live at a friend's house. Sick nominations too. This was back when MTV cared about rock music and this award actually meant something. Nowadays, you'd get nominations like MGMT, Mumford & Sons, Foster the People, and Goyte.
  25. I've been going to UG.com for years because some of the articles they do are intriguing. A high percentage of the people on there are strictly Metal fans, most of whom know nothing about music outside that genre, and will trash anything that's even slightly different. I've actually read some comments that are far worse than that. One person commented that he had listened to the album and said that there were "no guitars" on it. Another said: "Linkin Park should make a three piece out of Mike, Chester, and Joe because the others don't do anything anymore." The one that really gets me shaking my head is when people comment: "They used to make good music, but now they've gotten progressively worse." Really? I didn't know adding piano, live strings, synths, folk, and odd structures to your music was "progressively worse" than the 3-4 note guitar riffs your songs were based on before. It's laughable at times. Because these are the same people who say Linkin Park needs to "go back to the style of Hybrid Theory", but say bands like Disturbed, AC/DC, and even Metallica need to "do something different".
