  1. Wow, this feels like it came out of nowhere. Has the band even mentioned the film being released at all?
  2. Album release party, and they play two tracks from the album, leaving out the best one they've done live. Incredible.
  3. I'd only buy the "tribute" idea if this could be considered a concept album in any manner, which it is not. Instead it just comes across as lazy, especially with the Victimized riff in the exact same line.
  4. Wow, Mike is seriously going apeshit for the first half of Papercut. Awesome. That wig is legendary, too. I really cannot wait for the official audio for this show to come out in a few months. By Myself and Forgotten were incredible, hiccups and all. Pushing Me Away was wonderful to hear, too.
  5. Holy fuck, that tour would've been absolutely incredible. Guarantee they wouldn't have come near Florida, though.
  6. Ugh, I don't have the money to switch my pre-order over to lp.com to get the HT download. There'll definitely be some begging when that comes out... Great pre-show post, though. I always love reading these.
  7. Alright, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to be perpetually in the minority here, but I just cannot get into A Line in the Sand. Random heavy section with a bad transition, literally the Victimized riff with a part of GATS at the end, an unimpressive false ending... Mike's vocals are great, and the verse he drops in the middle of the song is top-notch, but that's really all I like about the song. The actual ending is pretty great, too. I keep trying to put together a comprehensive review of this album, but I can't muster the energy or effort to do it. This is just a really solid album all around, that's all there is to it.
  8. Keys to the Kingdom is going to sound fucking awful if they try it live. The first half of the album is way better than the second half, IMO. ALITS got too hyped up, it felt boring and repetitive. Drawbar was pretty weird, too. It felt like it was continually building towards something, but it never finished building. It just...ended. Weird song to have Tom Morello on. I have to give the album another listen later, really spend some time with it.
  9. Track's alright, I suppose. Probably my least favorite of the five we've heard.
  10. Is this the topic we're going to use whenever an album leaks now?
  11. December 2005. Hybrid Theory was on repeat for a year after I got it, even as I sucked up everything else they'd released up to that point.
  12. I dunno, I think Until it's Gone and Wastelands didn't live up to the standard set by GATS. Rebellion, however, did live up to that, and much more. It's my favorite track so far.
  13. It'd be nice if iTunes would let me download it, considering I've pre-ordered the album.
  14. oh hey, 98rock is the station I listen to all the time. They've had GATS on a pretty consistent play cycle since it came out. I'll listen to this when it comes out, but I'll try not to over-listen, so that the album still sounds fresh cover-to-cover when it comes out.
  15. Good god, it's like listening to a System of a Down track. Different, obviously, but there's a very clear influence here, and it's fucking incredible. Mike's vocals are fucking great.
  16. 10:55 PM at RaR will be 4:55 Eastern US time, if I did that correctly, just for reference.
  17. Sucks for Ian Camfield that Mike completely undermined his big premiere. Surely none of us are going to tune into this now.
  18. Apologies for the double post, but: The Complete Rosewood Fall has been re-uploaded to a filesharing service that isn't utter shit (Dropbox), where it will stay for the foreseeable future. This is still V. 1.4; nothing of note has come out to warrant a redo of the archive, and I've been having problems with creating .zip files lately (cross-compatibility issues with OS X), so I didn't want to re-compile the archive for fear of uploading a useless file. I think the archive is done for the time being. The individual albums won't be re-uploaded until I can be sure they'll work, unless someone else wants to do them.
  19. Song rocks pretty hard, I like it.
  20. I don't know why anyone would think we wouldn't get a soundtrack release for this, even if it's some sort of limited release.
  21. My favorite part in Mike's solo was when he flipped his cap around and went straight back into Fort Minor mode. Legendary.
  22. I did notice that when the camera shifted over to him, he seemed pretty frustrated with the EBow. Good thing he picked up on it quickly and salvaged it, because that at least sounded decent.
  23. I think a lot of this is a bit knee-jerky; in a few days most of us will dial it back a bit.
  24. Mission accomplished. (But really, I hope Brad irons out those issues he was having.)
