To describe it, the BOW intro has a more stripped raw feel, where as the studio version riff has drums and synths in the intro that take away from that pure fucking bit of awesomeness.

I remember him saying it I just think anythings possible at the moment, with resurrected Meteora demos and demos on a LPU CD....

I completley agree with him really. Its nice to have old stuff as part of History and stuff, but id rather listen to MTM or new album songs/B-sides ANY day. If anything because atleast you won't know what style the tracks will be.

I stumbled upon that randomly on youtube a few months back. Awesome. I can't wait for the MTM demos, I dont care what people say, these are going to be the most exciting, as god knows what they sound like. We can expect HT and M demos to sound similer to what we know LP as they used to be. The new song is obviously going to be the highlight mind. Correct me if im wrong did someone say it was from a recent session or a B-side from MTM or an old album ? not sure

What he said. I hope it is MTM demos tbh, any earlier demos will just sound like every other LP demo. Atleast with a MTM demo or track you won't know what to expect.

I think the 2005 version, the stripped raw sound, is better than any of them. Thats how i was hoping for it to go, with a straight riff at the start. The studio version is a bit synthy at the start and has drums, i would have prefered a straight riff like that version then with everything kicking in. Man that was awesome.

Think of it like this: After the reaction to last year's CD, do you really think their just gonna blow us off again ? Furthermore, judging by MS comment's, why would he get our hopes up with his cryptic comments ? As for the LPU 8 CD, i liked it. Not in place of a demo/b-side filled goodie bag, but for wat it was it was quite addictive !

You make a spot on point. WIC is deffo its own thing on the album. It doesn't sound like CBI, MS or any of the fast paced singles. It has a rawish live feel with very little layered vocals save for the end. I think people are going to be very happy with it. It isn't to be compared really to the other songs ( except for IND ) from wat i can tell, production wise.

Slightly off-topic, anyone have any good guesses on the In The Darkness chorus lyrics ? I've been trying for the past hour, this is what I have so far. Bold text is something which i cant work out. ' Our bodies burning turns our turning somehow stopping time '

I think with the studio version its one of those cases with no matter how awesome it is ( and it is ) it's never gonna top the magic of the acoustic 2005 version. I also think it could have been improved, such as the solo, I dont know how to describe it, but it just sounds like one long note, there isnt much ' solo'ing ' in the solo Lol

The end of the song is harmonies repeating I dont wanna be let down over and over again. Its cool !

In The Darkness sounds just like WIC in that it isn't completely layered vocals everywhere, it sorta retains the feel of the awesome live version we have. Too Late sounds ace, and surprisingly, Give Me Your Name and Into You both sound amazing, Into You sounds one of the best songs on the album !

I wish he would stop saying the same things slightly re-worded every interview. It makes everything he says stick in people's mind yes, but maybe say something slightly different next time, how many months has he been saying this is gonna be a new sound now ?

I'm glad I'm not the only one dissapointed by this. This was hyped a little too much for me, It wasn't the be all end song I thought. Its growing on me but tbh it sounds kinda generic. I still like it though !
