  1. You never know. I bet there won't be any drastic differences, but new management could mean some changes, for better or worse. Still hoping LP leaves Warner when they're contract ends no matter what happens.
  2. Yeah there really is. His voice is so deluded and propped up by effects, that even if the tone of his voice didn't match the album, or he kinda sorta missed a note here or there, you wouldn't be able to tell. It's not like it's particularly hard to sing either. He probably sang it really well, and the effects did the rest. And as someone else mentioned before, there's no reason for him to lip-sync it. They could easily just play it pre-recorded. The fact that Mike even bothered to sit down on stage is proof to me that he's singing it, along with the other reasons I gave.
  3. Don't underestimate technology. There are tons of weird-ass mics/vocoders/talk-boxes out there that can make you sound like anything.
  4. "Take everything FROM THE inside..." "FROM THE front to the back and the side to side..."
  5. What I've Done, Fallout, Catalyst would have made a lot more sense IMO.
  6. Well, they played the biggest single of their career last. Makes enough sense, just not sure how you play it right after The Catalyst.
  7. In my opinion, the only way you follow up The Catalyst with WID, is if you follow up WID with something else. But we'll see what happens.
  8. Wow. I'm guessing that's the end. I'm surprised to see no What I've Done, but New Divide is basically a more kick-ass version of that song live anyway.
  9. This. One of the longest running live LP songs.
  10. It's a great crowd sing-along song but I dunno, it just doesn't sound as thick live. Lacks the same power it has on the CD.
  11. I like that they're playing songs that translate well live. Songs like Crawling, SIB, LOATR, are obviously well-known, but live they're a bit boring.
  12. I think Iridescent needs to be played as a closer, or a second to last. Sticking it in the middle of a set probably doesn't do the song justice in my opinion.
  13. Wait whaaaaat? Mark you can't tug at our hearts like that.
  14. It's being filmed for MySpace though, so it should be interesting to see what happens with that.
  15. Singing about love and hope is clearly more emo than "CUT MAHSELF FREE!! WILLINGLY STOP JUST WHAT'S KILLING MEEE!!1" As for the setlist, I really don't know what to expect. I could see them playing 3 songs from ATS, I could see them playing 7. I could almost see them playing the entire thing.

    MTV VMA's

And that's really what matters. Good to hear you enjoyed yourself.

    MTV VMA's

Just watched the performance, definitely not as bad as Hahninator and others are making it out to be. It wasn't amazing, but seeing as this is the first performance for a huge audience after over a year, this was fine. I actually really liked it because of Mike's singing without effects during the lift me up/let me go part. He sounded really great. Gives me confidence for the rest of the ATS songs live when Mike has to sing.
  18. I like the song, but the whole gang vocal thing is pretty much a cliche in rock music now-a-days. Kings And Queens - 30STM and Wake Up - Arcade Fire are just two popular songs that have come out in the past year that use it. It still sounds great though. And I love how hopeful the song sounds. When has LP ever made music with that kind of vibe? Good stuff.

    LA Laser Show

Did I just witness crazy demon sex?
  20. I'm 99% sure Jornada Del Muerto is in Japanese.
  21. Mike has a message for all the people who just want Hybrid Theory music: "Try to catch up mothafuckaaa!"
  22. Mike pretty much calls out all the fans who only want Hybrid Theory music on When They Come For Me. Try to catch up mothafuckaaa! hahahaha.
  23. Me too. If Zane Lowe had When They Come For Me, which I'm pretty sure wasn't on the sampler, there's no way he wouldn't play it.
  24. Chester sounds a lot like Paul McCartney on this song.
  25. I enjoy electronica a lot. So if some of you aren't into this kind of music and would rather go listen to your rapcore and try to be uber tuff and angsty, cool go do that. I'll be enjoying myself over here.
