Oh yeah, LPU 9. Holy shit.
A-Six I love the version from LPU2 but this one is just too repetetive (<-sp?). Would've definitely made a good full song with vocals. Btw the guitar in the bridge reminds me of Faint's bridge riff.
Faint Mike's verses are pretty cool but not as good as the final version and the guitar on the album is better too. My favorite part of this song is that you can play Chester and sing the chorus. Kind of a karaoke version for singalong haha.
Sad Nice to hear the first "demo" (rather seed) of By Myself. But nothing really special.
Fear Wow. Melodies = epic. Chorus vocals = epic. Pre-chorus rapping = epic. I wonder if they ever wrote real lyrics for the rapping parts.
Figure.09 Oh yeah, the intro kicks some ass but the bridge is even better. To sum it up in a few simple, yet meaningful words:
Stick'N'Move Putting this one on here is kinda pointless, it doesn't really have anything to do with Runaway. Another negative is that the crash cymbals sound distorted because of the recording quality. Why they didn't release a Papercut demo on LPU 9 is something I'll never understand.
Across The Line I can get used to the verses but the chorus is just too poppy with this horrible beat. Although it get's better when the drums start to play, the whole song just ends nowhere and has weak lyrics. A guitar solo right after/during the It's - your - TIME part would've helped this one a LOT.
Drawing "Worst" song on the EP. Just a BTH instrumental with manipulated beats. It's nice that you can hear the strings very well but that's all.
Drum Song The piano is beautiful although it doesn't fit to the song. It was also a pleasant surprise that the harmonies were the highlight of the track and not the solo.
Overall my review sounds too negative but I really like the CD. Some epic stuff on there.
How many guitars (except doubling) are on there? I remember the last time that I counted them it was 4-5 but I'm not sure.
Another thing: Now that LPU9 is just around the corner and LPU8 ends I wanted to say thank you to Adam and the LPUHQ for a year full of epicness.
