  1. Yeah, I'm very happy with that.
  2. That really sounds like Chester? And Mike in the background? But I really can't believe it from what Talinda said on her blog. Hmm. Edit: Nah, can't be the same song. Sounds good though.
  3. So dissapointed in that vocal clip. If this is what "new" LP sounds like... I don't even want to finish that sentence. It sounds so radiofreindly I could puke. I like Minutes to Midnight, but this is shit. And don't hit me with all that "judging the song before I've heard it", it's bs. Now I know that the melody of the chorus goes like that, I can garantee you that the rest of the song will have a just as cheesy melody as this one. But that's just me. Only good thing is that I like Chesters voice in it, but not the melody. If this is what the next album sounds like, then LP has turned in to the one thing I've never wanted them to be. I don't think it will, I predicted this was going to be a soft song, because of the fact that it's created for a mainstream film. I'm just in chock that the song is THAT poppy.
  4. That would be cheesy.
  5. That's not right at all. He is generic yes. But he is not not the less skilled member in the band, he just knows what bass playing fits LP and that's not flashy bassplaying. If you hear his work on Tasty Snax you will realise that he is a pretty awesome bassplayer, it sounds very fast and very skilled. I have a feeling he knows his way around the frets of a guitar/bass better than any other member of the band.
  6. But here it's not only the chord progression. The sound of the Strat (yes, they used the same guitar for WID and this one), the drums, the rythm, tempo of the two songs sounds very close. I'm not saying the song ends up being like What I've Done. But since I've always found that song boring, I have a feeling it's going to be the same with this one.
  7. Everything said about WID: It's exactly my first thought. And it sounds boring. Only good thing is that it seems like there will be screaming in it, from the video Plus, that same, or similar chord progression is not only used in WID but in the chorus Given Up too. It's THE Linkin Park chord progression. And they've done it before. The churoses of Faint and From The Inside has the same rythm guitar, with slight changes.
  8. Happy birthday, thank you for the guitar tabs for LP.
  9. I think what the title may be saying is that it's a new song that will divide the fans. Again. Sounds cool, can't wait.
  10. Yes. That budget goes right against what mvaug002 is saying. A movie with such a big budget has to be sold to an as big audience as possible = the mainstream. Again, I'm not sure there will be no screaming. It's just a guess.
  11. So you hate me because I belive there will be no screaming. Okay..? It's an honest guess, there's nothing ignorant about it. I am very happy that we're getting a new song. I have never said it would be a bad song, I just said I don't belive it will be heavy, that's all.
  12. Sounds good. Very unexpected to be so early, that's nice. Don't get your hopes to high for a heavy song though, it's been choosen for a mainstreem movie, I bet it won't have screaming.
  13. This could easily be new LP in my opinion. It's funny, because since Lockjaw, I've expected it to sound like this, distorted guitars and a clean guitar playing a melody over it. I like the SOUND of it, but the music itself dosn't really sound interesting to me. Only the intro, with the drums and keyboards, and yes, they sound very much like what Mike described, as someone said.
  14. By accident, he started the chord progression two frets too low, that's what I think.
  15. I'm not really into the whole heavy robotic synths thing either. Though, I'm not saying it can't lay the foundation for a very good song. In Pieces has an awfull beat in my opinion, but as soon as it's raw instruments, with only the beat underneath it, it's one of my favourite songs on the album. Many Linkin Park songs have been build on synths I belive, so nothing new there. But to say that you "got" Minutes to Midnight because they left hip hop is wrong. Minutes to Midnight has some of the loudest electronic hip hop inspired beats ever in LP songs. They never left hip hop.
  16. Aww, forgot about it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see the transcript. btw, has anyone seen this: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoid=50948228
  17. Have you guys seen these pictures: http://www.angelfire.com/band/linkinpark/pictures3.html Dude, they're fucking oldschool. Wonder if we're ever gonna see shirtless Joe again (Under Brad section, one of the two "live" pictures, Joe can be seen with no shirt on)
  18. Very cool! They are actually. One of those 7 windows is just showing a mix of all the cameras.
  19. Not as good as HT or Meteora? Are you kidding me? Why even compare a remix with real album songs, that's not fair? Of course they aren't as good.
  20. Sounds interesting. I remember Chester saying they were going to make porn musicals. Maybe that's what it's all about! Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzpiJscUA5I...feature=related
  21. Raises one question for me: Are we in danger here at lplive? I hope not, this is my favourite site.

    Crank II

Love Crank, I have it right here, great movie. Can't wait for this, sounds awesome!
  23. The whole US arena tour seemed amazing from what I've seen. I live in Europe so I didn't experience any of them. But I love the setlists, energy and stage design. So the best show was Madison Square Garden for me.
  24. That's awesome, very unexpected Gotta love Mike.
