  1. Everything said about WID: It's exactly my first thought. And it sounds boring. Only good thing is that it seems like there will be screaming in it, from the video Plus, that same, or similar chord progression is not only used in WID but in the chorus Given Up too. It's THE Linkin Park chord progression. And they've done it before. The churoses of Faint and From The Inside has the same rythm guitar, with slight changes.
  2. Happy birthday, thank you for the guitar tabs for LP.
  3. I think what the title may be saying is that it's a new song that will divide the fans. Again. Sounds cool, can't wait.
  4. Yes. That budget goes right against what mvaug002 is saying. A movie with such a big budget has to be sold to an as big audience as possible = the mainstream. Again, I'm not sure there will be no screaming. It's just a guess.
  5. So you hate me because I belive there will be no screaming. Okay..? It's an honest guess, there's nothing ignorant about it. I am very happy that we're getting a new song. I have never said it would be a bad song, I just said I don't belive it will be heavy, that's all.
  6. Sounds good. Very unexpected to be so early, that's nice. Don't get your hopes to high for a heavy song though, it's been choosen for a mainstreem movie, I bet it won't have screaming.
  7. This could easily be new LP in my opinion. It's funny, because since Lockjaw, I've expected it to sound like this, distorted guitars and a clean guitar playing a melody over it. I like the SOUND of it, but the music itself dosn't really sound interesting to me. Only the intro, with the drums and keyboards, and yes, they sound very much like what Mike described, as someone said.
  8. By accident, he started the chord progression two frets too low, that's what I think.
  9. I'm not really into the whole heavy robotic synths thing either. Though, I'm not saying it can't lay the foundation for a very good song. In Pieces has an awfull beat in my opinion, but as soon as it's raw instruments, with only the beat underneath it, it's one of my favourite songs on the album. Many Linkin Park songs have been build on synths I belive, so nothing new there. But to say that you "got" Minutes to Midnight because they left hip hop is wrong. Minutes to Midnight has some of the loudest electronic hip hop inspired beats ever in LP songs. They never left hip hop.
  10. Aww, forgot about it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to see the transcript. btw, has anyone seen this: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...ideoid=50948228
  11. Have you guys seen these pictures: http://www.angelfire.com/band/linkinpark/pictures3.html Dude, they're fucking oldschool. Wonder if we're ever gonna see shirtless Joe again (Under Brad section, one of the two "live" pictures, Joe can be seen with no shirt on)
  12. Very cool! They are actually. One of those 7 windows is just showing a mix of all the cameras.
  13. Not as good as HT or Meteora? Are you kidding me? Why even compare a remix with real album songs, that's not fair? Of course they aren't as good.
  14. Sounds interesting. I remember Chester saying they were going to make porn musicals. Maybe that's what it's all about! Here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzpiJscUA5I...feature=related
  15. Raises one question for me: Are we in danger here at lplive? I hope not, this is my favourite site.

    Crank II

Love Crank, I have it right here, great movie. Can't wait for this, sounds awesome!
  17. The whole US arena tour seemed amazing from what I've seen. I live in Europe so I didn't experience any of them. But I love the setlists, energy and stage design. So the best show was Madison Square Garden for me.
  18. That's awesome, very unexpected Gotta love Mike.
  19. While I'm sure there will never be any singing on this track, because we're not going to hear it again, I also tried singing on it and it got out pretty well, you could easily sing on this track, if you just changed the structure a bit so that the hard part is not only at the end but in each chorus.
  20. I'm sure this won't be on the album, they made the song in only one day (it looks like), just for pro-tools. Mike: "Today I'm just doing a little track just to bassicly play around with the new pro-tools. Sounds awesome though, but I don't think you should count this in. Also, I like the ending of it with the distorted guitar being added. Which would be the chorus if it was made into a song. "...grow bigger to like a chorus kind a thing and then done."
  21. In The End. Back in 2000, one of my brothers got this CD home with the "newest" music on it. Song from KoRn, P.O.D. and Linkin Park. My brothers loved In The End, but I was more into Blind from KoRn. That was my first Metal, before that, all I listined to (and still do) was old school rock. My brother then said that I couldn't be a fan of KoRn, because he was. So I picked the next best. Linkin Park. And I fell in love, and suddenly it was way better than KoRn. I remember seing the In The End video the first time, after having listined to the band for months without seing what the guys looked like, I was overwelmed by their coolness.
  22. Ace of Space is awesome, his voice is really good. Something tells me Chester is a lot better at singing rock n' roll than LP. Good to see that his back problems didn't do anything to his performance!
  23. Pretty small changes, but it's never okay to fake it. Thank you for the info
  24. You're right. Obviously Mike was not fast enough. He didn't play the first half of the riff, but that was edited in the DVD. Proof: You can clearly hear his guitar coming on at 3:37. Adding some distortion.
