Anybody else noticed that in the second chorus of Lying From You, there is a shot of Dave were you can see Chester is not singing but you can hear him singing. It can be seen pretty clearly. Pretty bad editing. And Astat. I do not doubt your words at all, but I tried watching all the songs with the DSP's opened in the background so that I could choose between the DSP's sound and the DVD's sound or hear both at the same time. There was absoslutely no difference in Chester's pitch. Unless you have some program to proof it or something, I must say, they did nothing his voice at all. And if they did, it dosn't make it sound better, sounds excactly as good/bad.

I belive the reason why his voice is getting worse is that he stopped drinking, taking drugs and all that around 2005. Doing so changes your voice. It happened to Hetfield, he admitted himself. Do you remember that interview where Chester said that no one liked to hang out with him back in the days, because he was high/drunk all the time? He said that he was at the lowest point in his life in 2005 when everything with his wife and kids started to fuck up. He said Jack Daniels was his best freind. I belive those were the months they played Live 8. That's why he wore sunglasses. That's why he sounded sick. He was really not able to do a show in that period. Then he got a new wife, new kid, and got clean of drugs and alchohol (What I've Done). He said he had singing lessons before the shows in Japan 2006. I belive that's the reason why his pitch was so good at that show. But he couldn't scream like he used to. He couldn't do the "half/scream" anymore, the one he uses on every chorus. He could only do full screams (like the ones in Qwerty). Actually, sometimes he couldn't even do a full scream, go listen to Breaking The Habbit of Summer Sonic, the bridge is so emberassing, sounds like a whiny kid. He realised he couldn't do the half screaming between the Summer Sonic shows and the European MtM shows. He developed a method to do it, and it sounded very good on the first shows. I was so happy he was back in action. But the method also ruined his voice. It has been getting worse, that's a fact. Though! Yes, his voice is weaker when singing aggressivly, but I think that he is much better at hitting the right notes than he was back in the early days. In verses. Using normal singing. The verse of From The Inside of Live In Texas - sounds like shit from Chester. It actually sounds pretty good these days, and I'm not drawing any conclusions out of RtR. But I just found new respect for the man. I've been playing gigs with my band in a lot of different venues now, and I now know how fucking hard it is to sing up a big place. It is so much easier when you practice. I consider the singer of my band to be very good, but he would NEVER be able to sing/scream for as long as Chester does every night, in that way he is incredible. While I think that Mike is the mastermind behind the writing in this group, I also think Chester is a good songwriter when it comes to melodies, and that's also a very positive thing. And, you can easily hear him being out of tune on the recordings, but at all the shows I've been to, I've never noticed it, probably because of all the fans singing, I don't know. But that's very important, because then all the "casual" fans and listeners won't notice either. I hope he will have more lessons in this break too. I just know the singer of my favourite band could have been so much more worse live than he is.

So fucking awesome. I fucking love Linkin Park, couldn't have asked for anything better!

Had the same problem, hah. On PC, you just have to right click and pick root menu or title menu or whatever.

Oh, a new mistake in Itunes. Suddenly Milton Keynes changed name to "Milton Kevnes". Dude. I know this dosn't really matter, but seriously, such a big release from such a big band, get your shit together.
-
Hahah on Itunes, those idiots have named Lying From You "Living from you" instead. Pathetic. Edit: And Leave Out All The Rest too. "Live Out All The Rest". Somebody can't spell. Edit2: And the names of the two collabs with Jay are typed out differently.

It rocks. I found myself shaking throughout Bleed It Out and Faint. Incredible DVD. Only bad thing is the lag of backstage material.
-
That would be fucking idiotic if it's true. Unless what you're hearing is harmonies which nobody would be able to perform. But yeah, LP uses a lot of samples, as you know, some of them might be burried at the show and Pooch would dig them up for the DVD.
-
I agree that it's dumb, but it's better than nothing.
-
Are they?! Have you seen it?

It's definitily not Milton Keynes. I'm a bit scared all we will get on the new LPU CD is a couple of remixes. Mike Shinoda: "...It's not NEW Linkin Park music..."

I can't belive people think they would work with Timberland. Man, listen to the new Chris Corrnel, is that what you wan't LP to sound like? I'm open to a lot of music, but I've hated EVERY song Timberland has produced until now, I'm being honest. Good interview btw, Dave is good at clearing things up, getting it said.

You're right. Numb was the third single of Meteora and was released fall 2003. The album and real lead single was released Spring 2003 and yes, Somewhere I Belong, which is the songs name, did come out before the album. Every band does it to promote their album and boost sales.

5/6 Skive Beach Party 2008 - 24/5 Copenhagen Forum 2007 Off: Not to sound silly, but Brad got a haircut?! No way. Haha. http://www.amazon.de/Road-Revolution-Live-...6068&sr=8-3

Those are only side projects so I'm sure WB forced them out in November for Christmas sales. I don't think they put that kind of pressure on LP with new albums. November is possible but that has nothing to do with their side projects that were released that month, this is a full length ablum, takes the time it takes.

I think Linkin Park album is finished by the end of 2009. Dead by Sunrise? Hmm. I don't really know. I really hope it will come out this winter/spring. I don't think there will be a Project Rev 2009. But lets see. Good opening post Hahninator.

Dude, I couldn't agree more with you handsheldhigh. Except for the "music room". I think that's pretty cool. He both have keyboards, drums and you can see a bass guitar hanging on the wall at the end of the video. That's pretty cool, I hope he can play them all. But then again there's also an old gun hanging on the wall in there.

The only reason I said it was because you said "they won't be playing any live shows for over a year, so it really dosn't matter", making it sound like he would heal and jump again. I'm not saying it takes much that away from their performance, it's just sad, the monkey jump looked awesome.

You don't get it. When you have problems in your back they're usually permanent. I know someone who's not even allowed to ride a bicycle and it's been six years since only ONE of her disks collapsed. Two of Chester's collapsed.
-
I never said that. I just said it means a whole lot more than some shitty magazine. But goodbye. Hopefully I will never see a post from you again. And btw, LP has higher sales than Fall Out Boy just for your information.

You've obviously never been in a band yourself. Writing complex stuff, and showing off doesn’t make you a good band. I hate this misconception. You don't know SHIT about how skilled the guys from LP are. But it dosn't matter. People are thinking TOO FUCKING much about how skilled you are as a player. Everybody can learn playing guitar like Slash, it's just technique. That's a common opinion for people like me who are also listening to classical. It's just technique. Writing the stuff is the hard part. You sound like all those faggot guitar players on YouTube saying: Linkin Park stuff is fucking easy, I learned 5 of their songs today, such a bad band. Okay? If they're that bad, write it yourself. You know how big of a difference there is to writing stuff or just playing it? The blend of power chords and octaves on most of LP songs are brilliant, not hard to play, but brilliant. But yeah, writing it is were the talent is shown. I'm a guitarist, you might have guessed it. People respect guitar solo's too much. I don't know if that band of yours, weiner, or whatever it's called do solo's, but you're saying they're bad at their instruments just because they're not showing off. Here's my response retard: In my band, ripping off a fast solo is the easiest way out. Soloing is WAAAY too overrated. Writing something that actually sounds good is much harder, but the result will be better. You're not supposed to show off in a band, not in my opinion, you're supposed to play together. Okay, you are allowed show off sometimes, but only when it's really appropriate. That's something LP at least understands. The truth is Rock n' Roll has always been simple and easy to play on ALL instruments. If you take the solo out of a random rock song you get a easy and simple song, you get LP. But you also get a good song, which is not wasting time on idiotic melodies. And saying LP is one of the worst bands of the century. I lolled. How about this? LP is STILL the best selling band of the century. The numbers talks for themselves. I'm not saying sales means a band is great. But it means a whole lot more than some shitty magazine based on a couple of screwed up journalists opinions.

I don't want to spoil the DVD for myself so I just watched No More Sorrow. Very intense. Amazing. I'm surprised. I just can't forget those missing songs.
-
That's what I think too. It's Mike's band, I heard Chester say that himself. I got a feeling Mike is writing most of their music too, he is definitily the one that keeps track of everything. I know Chester is the frontman towards the public in music videos and stuff but if you can talk of a frontman in writing, then that would be Mike.
-
Very very nice Sounds very interesting. But please don't say "I knew they would they'll move on to something heavier." It's two songs. Non of these songs are likely to end up on the record. I'm sure they won't change their direction from MtM. They said at the beginning of the MtM writing progress: "There definitily going to be a lot of screaming" and we get screaming on like three songs. It's nice with updates, but it's faaar to early to jump to conclusions.

I was thinking that there is too much Chester too. But even though Brad plays guitar on each chorus, he entered the stage in the last chorus, so I guess that's part of it. I love the way Phi and Brad greets when they enter. But this is the most vocal driven song they have, so it makes sense, ït's not that bad.
