5/6 Skive Beach Party 2008 - 24/5 Copenhagen Forum 2007 Off: Not to sound silly, but Brad got a haircut?! No way. Haha. http://www.amazon.de/Road-Revolution-Live-...6068&sr=8-3

Those are only side projects so I'm sure WB forced them out in November for Christmas sales. I don't think they put that kind of pressure on LP with new albums. November is possible but that has nothing to do with their side projects that were released that month, this is a full length ablum, takes the time it takes.

I think Linkin Park album is finished by the end of 2009. Dead by Sunrise? Hmm. I don't really know. I really hope it will come out this winter/spring. I don't think there will be a Project Rev 2009. But lets see. Good opening post Hahninator.

Dude, I couldn't agree more with you handsheldhigh. Except for the "music room". I think that's pretty cool. He both have keyboards, drums and you can see a bass guitar hanging on the wall at the end of the video. That's pretty cool, I hope he can play them all. But then again there's also an old gun hanging on the wall in there.

The only reason I said it was because you said "they won't be playing any live shows for over a year, so it really dosn't matter", making it sound like he would heal and jump again. I'm not saying it takes much that away from their performance, it's just sad, the monkey jump looked awesome.

You don't get it. When you have problems in your back they're usually permanent. I know someone who's not even allowed to ride a bicycle and it's been six years since only ONE of her disks collapsed. Two of Chester's collapsed.
-
I never said that. I just said it means a whole lot more than some shitty magazine. But goodbye. Hopefully I will never see a post from you again. And btw, LP has higher sales than Fall Out Boy just for your information.

You've obviously never been in a band yourself. Writing complex stuff, and showing off doesn’t make you a good band. I hate this misconception. You don't know SHIT about how skilled the guys from LP are. But it dosn't matter. People are thinking TOO FUCKING much about how skilled you are as a player. Everybody can learn playing guitar like Slash, it's just technique. That's a common opinion for people like me who are also listening to classical. It's just technique. Writing the stuff is the hard part. You sound like all those faggot guitar players on YouTube saying: Linkin Park stuff is fucking easy, I learned 5 of their songs today, such a bad band. Okay? If they're that bad, write it yourself. You know how big of a difference there is to writing stuff or just playing it? The blend of power chords and octaves on most of LP songs are brilliant, not hard to play, but brilliant. But yeah, writing it is were the talent is shown. I'm a guitarist, you might have guessed it. People respect guitar solo's too much. I don't know if that band of yours, weiner, or whatever it's called do solo's, but you're saying they're bad at their instruments just because they're not showing off. Here's my response retard: In my band, ripping off a fast solo is the easiest way out. Soloing is WAAAY too overrated. Writing something that actually sounds good is much harder, but the result will be better. You're not supposed to show off in a band, not in my opinion, you're supposed to play together. Okay, you are allowed show off sometimes, but only when it's really appropriate. That's something LP at least understands. The truth is Rock n' Roll has always been simple and easy to play on ALL instruments. If you take the solo out of a random rock song you get a easy and simple song, you get LP. But you also get a good song, which is not wasting time on idiotic melodies. And saying LP is one of the worst bands of the century. I lolled. How about this? LP is STILL the best selling band of the century. The numbers talks for themselves. I'm not saying sales means a band is great. But it means a whole lot more than some shitty magazine based on a couple of screwed up journalists opinions.

I don't want to spoil the DVD for myself so I just watched No More Sorrow. Very intense. Amazing. I'm surprised. I just can't forget those missing songs.

That's what I think too. It's Mike's band, I heard Chester say that himself. I got a feeling Mike is writing most of their music too, he is definitily the one that keeps track of everything. I know Chester is the frontman towards the public in music videos and stuff but if you can talk of a frontman in writing, then that would be Mike.

Very very nice Sounds very interesting. But please don't say "I knew they would they'll move on to something heavier." It's two songs. Non of these songs are likely to end up on the record. I'm sure they won't change their direction from MtM. They said at the beginning of the MtM writing progress: "There definitily going to be a lot of screaming" and we get screaming on like three songs. It's nice with updates, but it's faaar to early to jump to conclusions.

I was thinking that there is too much Chester too. But even though Brad plays guitar on each chorus, he entered the stage in the last chorus, so I guess that's part of it. I love the way Phi and Brad greets when they enter. But this is the most vocal driven song they have, so it makes sense, ït's not that bad.

Nobody ever talked of an ep with b-sides of Minutes to Midnight. We just hope some of those tracks will appear on LPU 8.
-
Okay, here's the best senario in my opinion: -The last MK tracks are some of the bonuses/easter eggs on the DVD. -The songs from Minutes to Midnight that were cut (the jump from 17 to 12 songs) will be on LPU 8, or at least some of them.

Haha what an idiot. I'm one of the "lucky" guys, I got mine a week after I ordered. But it wasn't sealed hmm. {SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_confused.gif

I never really took a good look at this performance. It's very very good. Man, I've never seen the whole band being so in to the song. They all look like they could stand behind word Chester is singing, that is really awesome. Now I love this concert even more. Wow. I don't think I've ever seen them perform with this kind of feeling before. Plus, everything is perfectly mixed. Bass isn't too loud as it usually is in these recordings. You can actually hear Joe. And as you said. It cought my eye how much Brad was into it when he screamed along. Mike sang along on the "Breaking the Haaabit" part. Phoenix closes his eyes at times. Just really feels like they like the song. Ouh, it makes me think of the little "No Roads Left" clip we have were they're recording it live in the studio. Most people are probably looking at Mike while he is singing. But if you look at Phi he is closing his eyes again, really makes it feel like he loves the song, even though it's dangourus to close your eyes while recording haha.

05.06.2008 Skive - Queens Of The Stone Age, Nephew, Volbeat, Big Fat Snake I was at this show, may I correct it a bit? Because some of these bands didn't even play the same day as LP (5 day festival). It's like this: 05.06.2008 Skive - Queens Of The Stone Age, Magtens Korridorer, Rock Hard Power Spray

Yeah, it would be my second choice too. Spread this poll as fast as you can, they have to give the name of the DVD to Warner today. Scource: http://www.mikeshinoda.com

But it is the "Road" to the real Revolution shows.
-
Road to Rev is the best in my opinion. As long as they write Milton Keynes somewere on the frontcover too.

Songs that LP must delete of their setlists
Fleur de Lys replied to JZLP-Benningstrong's topic in Live Talk
Chester's voice really can't handle Crawling. That and Somewere I Belong. And Leave out all The Rest and Numb. Those four, are either boring or bad live. Leave out all of those songs. Shadow of The Day. I like it. Both live and studio. I love the solo's but what makes it is Mike's harmonies live. In the chorus before the second solo. Damn, they're good those harmonies. I think they perform that song almost perfect (not many LP songs are performed that close to the original). I've always like From The Inside, oppisite to Numb it has a really cool bridge, one of my favourite songs. Don't Stay is really nice too. I love the way Chester have started shouting "Staaaaaaaaaaaaaay" for a long time from the second chorus to the bridge, sounds really cool. -
True, true, true. I'm very happy with the fact that we, fans of LP, get audio releases of almost every show, that's really cool of them. Not many fans of other bands get that. If you can't mix it better for those releases, then fine, I'm just glad we have 'em. But I'm just saying, if you use the same audio on the DVD, I'll be greatly dissapointed. They have to take their time and just mix EVERYTHING, to make it sound perfect, without editing anything in and out. Just turn up those guitars and that DJ kit.

I really loved Live in Texas so I think they should edit it that way. Or I don't think they should edit the sound the same way, making it false, but I like the whole slow motion thing. Just make sure to not change to image from other songs within a song, it's pretty revealing when all of a sudden Brad is holding a new guitar. Happened ten times a song. Still, they should mix the sound of the show again, do not use the sound which is all ready released. The only thing I don't like about pooch is: When he edits a show, you can't hear the rythm guitar at all and Brad's guitar dosn't fill your speakers up. I know there are more things than just guitar in LP but everything else seems to be fine. Oh, and Joe could need more volume too. Okay, for guitars... Go listen to ANY version of Lying From You from pooch. Then listen to Lying From You from Live in Texas: THAT is how it should be mixed, not that low shitty sound. I know it's not like this at the shows, he is a perfect mixer at the show, I've experienced it myself, but the audio releases are pretty bad imo. And for rythm guitar. Start by listining to the studio version of Pusing me Away: Mike's guitar part is the loudest. Then listen to any of the new Pushing me Away audio releases, you can't hear Mike's part, it's drowned in bass and Brad (cool line eh?!). Or Crawling, any song with Mike on rythm guitar. Seach for "Linkin Park Live" on youtube and the first video you will find of Faint (The 2003 detroit show) is a great example of how the guitars should be mixed. What do you think?

im pretty sure iv seen a vid where Chaz and Mike say that their Kroq Acoustic Christmas show in 2007 had like 1,000,000 people there, isnt that the top number? Haha no man Kroq is at a small venue. 1.000.000? That's so never gonna happen. Maybe the largest crowd is about 90.000 at a festivial but 1 million? Get a grip.

Very awesome. But what about work and/or school?
