I’m pretty sure A.06’s recording at NRG was only the short version. Hearing a version of it with vocals would be cool though. Rob said he recorded drums for 18 songs right? the three that never made it to vocals at NRG were probably the “Rob Drum Track” “A.06” and a third

About announcements, I’m expecting they’ll do the first announcements between somewhere between tomorrow and the 20th. Like they said, they’ll tell us more in January. We’ll see what they have to unveil first. I’m sure It’s gonna be very exciting. They might even reveal stuff on this Friday the 13th. Just because that’s a month after they sent out the email. I’m guessing probably the 13th to 20th we can expect a first announcement.

There's 15 song on the board (16 if you count the blank space). All of them have the drums completely done for them (except for Nocturnal). What are the other songs of the 18 he recorded drums on?

I also think that it's title is "Interrogation", but let's wait on announcement and we will see.

I've decided to dim it down to the title of the track being "Interrogation", "Shifter", "Serpent", or "Husky". They all have their drums, bass and dirty guitar completely done. Both "Interrogation" and "Shifter" have their clean guitar completely done for them. "Serpent" doesn't have clean guitar on it. "Interrogation" also has the stuff partially done for whatever the 7th column is (something having to do with Joe Hahn).

Cumulus was a demo that would eventually be released through LPU XIII.

Cuidado is the working title for Lying From You.

The BLANK SPACE is either Rob's drum demo or A.06, based off some theories.

Pretty Birdie is the working title for Somewhere I Belong.

Nocturnal has nothing done for it. @IWillWalkAway has theorized that it's the working title for Nobody's Listening.

    Session kept it's working title.

Since Resolution doesn't have dirty guitar on it, that's probably not it.

    Faint kept it's working title.

Sick is the working title for Don't Stay.

Plaster II, as me and @IWillWalkAwayhave theorized, is either the working title for Hit the Floor or From the Inside.

Drawing is the working title for Breaking the Habit.

    Figure.09 kept it's working title.

    Am I missing anything?

It’s likely joe’s scratching recorded at NRG. It has that sound to it.

The song has the dirty guitar “sound” of the songs on meteora. It has the same drums “sound” of the rest of the meteora songs too. The bass sounds very heavy but not distorted, much like BTH. Phoenix did a very different type of chord progression on the verse for TTTAMP so that’s pretty cool. Brad did two guitar tracks. One is the rhythm with power chords D, F, C, and G. Four guitar chords that aren’t normally used on Meteora which is also very interesting. The other guitar track is harder to hear but it’s a fast strumming octave sound, similar to Crawling but only the high A octave and no other notes. The song is in A Minor or C Major.

From looking at the Meteora board that I made days ago from looking at the actual board shown in the Making of Meteora, it might be "Interrogation". It has drums, bass, and both dirty and clean guitar completely done for the track. Whatever the 7th section (something having to do with Joe Hahn) is partially done for the track. Chester's didn't do his vocals for the song yet and were probably done later in the process, hence why there nothing marked in that column for the track.

That's what I got, anyway, though, I'm pretty sure I'm probably wrong with that being the title. Who knows.

Yeah, that would be super good. Also if we have all demos of Meteora songs and all the remixes. A.06 and Cumulus with vocals, Rob drum demo, The Wizard Song and the first single as a representative song of Meteora would be Thoughts That Take Away My Pride. This is my dream.

I doubt they would put out Thoughts That Take Away My Pride as the first single. I'm pretty sure they would save that for the release of the boxset to keep fans hyped up, similar to what they did with Pictureboard through Hybrid Theory 20.

Hm hm. I have no proof but my guess is this could be the same song as Thoughts That Take Away My Pride just another part of it. But it's lyrics/words on a wall so it could be any song or not a song at all.

On 5/6/2021 at 1:08 PM, LPLStaff said:

What if it's all just from the Thoughts That Take Away My Pride demo? Which probably isn't even called that, it probably has a real name lol

It could be some partial lyrics to "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride", whatever it's name is, or it could be lyrics to one of the songs on the Meteora song board that is unreleased or possible Meteora song demos (Interrogation, Shifter, Serpent, Nocturnal, Resolution, Plaster II, Husky). It could be lyrics to a demo of one of the songs off Meteora (Cuidado, Pretty Birdie, Session, Faint, Sick, Drawing, Figure.09). There's also the possibilities that the lyrics belongs to an unreleased version of Cumulus with vocals or the unreleased version of A.06/A-Six/A6 with vocals. It probably isn't the Rob drum demo because that is most likely just an instrumental, though who knows, there could be a version with vocals on it.

Also, is it just me, or do the lyrics "And everything I thought it'd be is nothing like it is" look similar to the lyrics of "And everything that you thought I would be has fallen apart right in front of you" from Numb. Just something I noticed.

They played it before recording it, they wrote the lyrics on the flight to Japan, where they would perform it.

QWERTY isn't really any era at all. Though it sounds as raw as MTM, my guess is that's only from the studio mix and Rick Rubins influence after them returning from Japan.

I don't know if Summer Sonic 06' would be released on this meteora 20th celebration, but, I really wanted to see this full show on PROSHOT, for me it's the show I've always wanted since the first time I heard the audio audience or the set list it's perfect and not to mention that seeing them playing Reading my eyes must be incredible, I hope that one day this show will be appreciated by the fans.

Meteora was and is a very important album, I believe and a great release for him as it was for HT20.
The Band knows that fans paid for it as well as they were surprised by HT20, everyone who bought HT20 will pay for MT20 in the same format.
I hope they can announce it soon next week, we are all looking forward to it lol

For me it counts as Meteora era.

Wouldn't the show be from the Minutes To Midnight era? They performed Qwerty at that show, which was recorded during the Minutes To Midnight sessions in 2006.

I saw the LPL tweet about the demos on the Meteora board and my hype increased again!
But, now that we know the demo's name, I think its time to know what means the "horizontal line" on the top of the board. Probably it means the "stage" of each song. (guitar recording, vocals, etc.)
Interesting that "Nocturnal" section didn't have none of those notes (X or -), but it is a potential B-Side. Maybe is a instrumental one, or the Rob song... or they worked on it after that filmage.
Another thing: above "Pretty Birdie" there's a blank section. But this section has a note (X) as every other song in the first columm. In the first time the board is showed (behind Brad recording guitar for "Lying from You"), that section doesn't have any note. My theory is that section is from "A.06", and then they scrapped it in favor of shorten it.

Unfortunately Joe's hands didn't allow to see in the board the last songs progress, but I tried (in a very unprofessional way, I know) to reproduce the board with those notes. The (:) indicates a blank space (all of the songs have it - maybe is the final process).

    Cumulus           X  X  X  -  :  :  \  :
    Interrogation    X  X  X  X  :  :  \  :
    Cuidado           X  X  X  -  \  \  \  :

    Husky               X  X
    Drawing            X  X  -           \
    Figure.09          X  X  X

This is what is on the song board (from looking at the board in the Making of Meteora multiple times, from different videos of it on YouTube):

    Cumulus           X  X  X  -  :  :  /  :
    Interrogation    X  X  X  X :  :  /  :
    Cuidado           X  X  X  -  /  /  /  :

    Serpent           X  X  X  -  :  :   :  :
    Nocturnal         :   :   :   :  :  :   :  :
    Session            :   :   -  X :  :   :  :

    Drawing           X  X  - -  /  :    /  :
    Figure.09         X  X  X :  :    :   :

Also, above the X's, slashes, dashes, and colons, in the top column, here's what it's supposed to say up there (also from looking at the board in the Making of Meteora multiple times, from different videos of it on YouTube):

    1st column: Drums

    2nd column: Bass

3rd column: possibly Dirty/Distorted Gtr (Guitar), based off the 4th column being "Clean Gtr (Guitar)"

    4th column: Clean Gtr (Guitar)

    5th column: Chester Vox (Vocals)

    6th column: Mike Vox (Vocals)

7th column: ??? (I can't completely tell what it is. It starts with a J. I was thinking the first word is "Joe", though I'm unsure what it fully says.)

8th column: ??? (I was thinking it says "Soundcheck", though I'm currently unsure if that's actually what it says at the moment.)

All the songs, except Nocturnal and Session, have drums and bass completely done (the BLANK SPACE has no bass done though).

Cumulus, Interrogation, Cuidado, Pretty Birdie, Shifter, Serpent, Faint, Sick, Husky, and Figure.09 have the dirty guitar done for them. Plaster II has it's dirty guitar partially done.

Interrogation, Pretty Birdie, Shifter, and Session have the clean guitar done for them.

Chester has his vocals partially done for Cuidado, Sick, and Drawing.

Mike has his vocals partially done only for Cuidado.

Cumulus, Interrogation, Cuidado, Pretty Birdie, Resolution, Sick, and Drawing have the stuff done for whatever the 7th column is.

None of the songs have the stuff done for whatever the 8th column is.

As for the ones that have dashes in the dirty guitar (Session, Resolution, Drawing) and clean guitar (Cumulus, Cuidado, Serpent, Husky, Drawing) sections, I don't know about those ones. I don't know what the dash is supposed to mean.

Also, now that I think about it, maybe the "BLANK SPACE" is supposed to be the Rob drum demo. Just a thought, though I kinda doubt myself on it. The song probably has an actual title, similar to "Thoughts That Take Away My Pride" (or whatever the song is actually called).

    My theory is:

We actually know 7 demo names from songs in Meteora:

    Don't Stay - Sick

Somewhere I Belong - Pretty Birdie

    Lying from You - Cuidado

    Faint - Faint

    Figure.09 - Figure.09

    Breaking the Habit - Drawing

    Session - Session

5 songs remained (Hit the Floor, Easier to Run, From the Inside, Nobody's Listening and Numb).

For me, Nocturnal and Shifter are two unreleased b-sides (the rumour of Mike saying about those two in Meteora times and the Spin article mentioning both is what made my point).

According with the note from Mike in LPU 13, about Cumulus, they "tried to work on it, but it sounded too poppy". It seems a similar case to A.06: They tried to give vocals to it (maybe even has a version with vocals), but didn't worked.

So, if we exclude the 7 names we already know their respective final songs; and removing Nocturnal, Shifter and Cumulus, we have 5 demo's name left.

IMO, that 5 names (Interrogation, Resolution, Serpent, Husky and Plaster II) are the demos from the other 5 final songs from Meteora.

And, about Numb being recorded in the end of the process: according with the Meteora booklet, the song was conceived one week before they start to work on studio. So, I believe that Numb is also on that board.

To finish, again, IMO, the only "newer" songs from Meteora, with vocals and all, are Nocturnal and Shifter and, probably, one of those is "Take Away My Pride".

We also can't forget about the Rob drum demo, which is probably either Nocturnal or Shifter, The Wizard Song, A.06/A-Six/A6 (With Vocals), Figure.09 (Alternate Rap Verses Demo), or Figure.09 (Singing Verses Demo). There may be more that I can't remember at the moment, but those are more unreleased demos to consider.

What if the unreleased Meteora remixes surfaced one day?

Who knows, but with the recent stuff about them planning exciting things for 2023, and with tons of fans here, including myself, thinking that they’re going to announce a Meteora 20th anniversary boxset, we could, possibly, see the unreleased Meteora remixes be released very soon. Though, honestly, who knows what will happen.

It would be great to see such a tracklist:
    01. Dreamer

    02. Weight

    03. Turn To Grey

    04. Ashes

    05. Flower

    06. Pointillism

    07. Deftest

    08. Pooch Pound

    09. Fuse

    10. Rhinestone (Demo 1997)

    11. Stick N Move (Demo 1997)

    (12.) Unknown (https://youtu.be/ijiB9Iybcjk?t=1701 / https://youtu.be/b3hA8NIM3S8; if it's not one of the above)

I would add more tracks to it, maybe 3 or 4 more tracks.

I would add these to the tracklist:

    13. Carousel (Xero Demo)

    14. Slip (Xero Demo)

    15. Step Up (Xero Demo)

    16. Stick N Move (Demo 1998)

Probably 'The Pricks', 'Karma', and 'Relative Degree' tracks could be put on another CD, probably named "Forgotten Earlier Band Demos", but that would probably have too many tracks, lol. It would probably have 20+ tracks in total.

The ones that are in bold are possible to make in studio version form, so I can try to make those myself, using some extra external websites and such.

@MrS Would "Dave SBeat" serve as an intro for "Runaway", or would "Dave SBeat" play before the intro to "Runaway"?

Edit: Forgotten (w/Rhinestone lyrics) doesn't really work as good as I thought. After I converted the AI acapella of "Forgotten (Demo)", that I made, into Audacity to change it's tempo, I put it with the "Forgotten" instrumental on Soundation and tried to fix it, but the AI acapella I made that I changed the tempo of doesn't play at the same speed as the "Forgotten" instrumental. I could try to do something else to get it to work, though.

  13. The only other people I think we could contact besides Samantha about this performance or the name of his audition song, and other such stuff like that, are Jay Kereny, who produced the performance and was playing with Chester at his Xero pre-production performance as the guitarist of Size 5, who was Chester's backing band for the Xero pre-production performance (though LESTAT already got into contact with him and asked him about Chester's Xero audition and pre-production performance), John Kereny, who was also playing with Chester at the Xero pre-production performance as the bassist of Size 5, and Bart Applewhite, who was also playing with Chester at the Xero pre-production performance as the drummer of Size 5.

I don't know if they have social media, though.

  16. Who is singing or saying the words "Believe me" during the bridge and last chorus of "Believe Me" ('The Pheonix' version)? It sounds like Chester's voice heavily edited, though I'm not entirely sure.

Funny enough, I though that those words were actually guitar. It sounded like guitar to me, though, I didn't think they were actual words, lol.

I thought we got the announcement about the HT20 boxset around mid-August.

Maybe we'll get the announcement about the M20 boxset around mid-January. Who knows.
