The “MOBB1_SN“ sample, that was sampled in “Dialate”, in the chorus, comes from the Mobb Deep song “Eye for a Eye (Your Beef Is Mines)”.

Not too sure if the “mobb_kic“ sample, that was also sampled in “Dialate”, is from the same song or a different Mobb Deep song, though.

I'll try to find more information on the other samples.

I misspelled the name of the song slightly, lol. The song is called “Eye for a Eye”, not “Eye for an Eye”. I’m guessing I misspelled the name of the song based off the lyrics I was hearing in the song.

Lol it's all good, we all make mistakes time to time.

True. Anyway, I wonder when we'll end up getting the full song of "Deftest"? No one bid on the auction for 💀Rear Admiral💀's Xero tape, meaning we won't get the full song from her, though, she might, possibly, do another auction for the tape. Additionally, Dave Garrett already knew about the auction for the Xero tape, meaning we might not get the full song from him, though, since no one bid on the tape, and that there hasn't been another auction done for the tape yet, we might, possibly, end up getting the full song from him, along with the other Xero tracks he has.

  3. I just noticed something between the two snippets that we got from both Dave Garrett and 💀Rear Admiral💀

If you listen at around 0:39 while listening to Dave Garrett's snippet when Mike says "Hundred three BPM equals ninety degrees", you hear something in the with the music. I can't tell what it is. It sounds like an extra drum sound or something? I don't know what it is, honestly.

Meanwhile, if you listen at around 0:35 (original snippet and fixed snippet) while listening to 💀Rear Admiral💀 when Mike says the same thing, the sound isn't there.

Just thought it'd be something to share because I had JUST noticed that difference, with the extra drum sound or whatever it is, just then.

Has anyone messed with the pitch/speed of the samples on Technique (or Rendezvo) and Mic? We were trying to figure out who it is that is talking, or where the samples might come from. Random as hell but just something I was going through yesterday.

What about the voice sample in Saimo?

I can probably mess around with the pitch for the "Technique/Rendezvous" sample and the "Saimo" sample to see what I can get.

  5. "And One" has a bpm of 115 (the main song, not the rap outro; the rap outro is 100 BPM). I also found the BPM's to decent amount of the LPU demos too. I put the song through here (https://tunebat.com/Analyzer), then, to make sure they actually are that BPM, I take either an AI acapella or instrumental of the LPU songs (unless it's a demo instrumental; in that case, I take a Linkin Park song acapella with the same BPM and put it over the demo instrumental) and put the AI acapella over an instrumental of another Linkin Park song with the same BPM, and vice versa. Then if it works, as if it sounds like a mashup, then that's when I can definitely tell that that is indeed the songs BPM. That's what I do to figure out the BPM's of those songs, anyway.

  6. How can the vocal sound effects from "Nobody Can Save Me", "Battle Symphony", & "Sorry For Now" be changed?

I saw these paragraphs on the pages for each of the songs:

Nobody Can Save Me: Before One More Light was released, Mike Shinoda gave Waves a song-by-song glimpse into the album's production and mixing. For "Nobody Can Save Me", he said, "That’s one of my favorite sounds on the album. It was one of our scratch vocal tracks which we cut up and made the melody out of. There’s some basic low-pass filtering here with the Waves Linear Phase EQ, a little distortion, and a reverb with very short decay time. The filter is opened up in different sections, to make those sections feel bigger."

Battle Symphony: The title "Battle Symphony" was first seen in a picture posted on Joe Hahn's Instagram story on September 6, 2016 of Brad playing acoustic guitar with the band's song board behind him. The song is about things falling apart and putting it back together. The vocal chops came from demo scat vocals Mike Shinoda chopped up in ProTools. He used pitch shifter and alterboy, and grabbed pieces and chopped it up on the grid. Then added some effects to finalize it.

Describing how the samples in the song were made, Mike said, "I think that was part of the demo, like the vocal demo. And chopped up music from the demo, super effected. So treated both of those things together as if I sampled it, and then effected that. Played it on pads and stuff, as I recall." This was similar to how the samples in both "Nobody Can Save Me" and "Sorry For Now" were made on the album as well.

Sorry For Now: Mike Shinoda spoke about how the collaboration came together in interview to LPAssociation, "On Sorry For Now, I had a finished vocal and a rough track that the whole band liked, but we all thought the track could use some spice. We invited Blackbear and Andrew Goldstein in with me, Chester, and Brad, and we created this vocal sample drop together that took the song to a whole new level. It was really fun having people with different perspectives and talents in the room each time."

Describing how the vocal samples in the song were made, Mike said, "The high pitched voice on Sorry For Now, I think it was just a scat version of the chorus. So it may be saying 'Sorry For Now' and stuff and I just chopped it up. Or it may be saying gibberish, like some version of that. I think it may be a little bit of 'na na na.'"

A few of these were either discussed here in the forums or already have entries on Linkinpedia.

The Greg Delson one is interesting because he and Brad worked on another song several years ago for a project that never came out. Nice find.

    https://linkinpedia.com/index.php?title=Willing_To_Try

Choosing Violence is new to me as well. Again, they had actually worked on another song together that never came out:

    https://lplive.net/forums/topic/14750-mike-shinoda-x-justus-bennetts/

I've found the topic with "Trust":

I can't find any topics with "Already Looking At Me", "Let You Go", and "Second Chances" besides this one.

  8. So, I just found this song on BMI out of the blue. The music video for the song was released in March of 2022.

Here's the lyrics to the song as well:

    [Verse 1: Greg Delson]

    A fading light
    On the horizon
    And I keep fighting
    For more time
    But there's a hope
    In every moment
    So I'm still holding
    Out for a sign

    [Pre-Chorus: Greg Delson]
Cause all the love I have
Is all the love you gave
I try to make it last
    You try to walk away
    I've given all I can
You say you've done the same
    We cannot change the past
    But we've still got today

    [Chorus 1: Greg Delson]
    So don't let it all
    Go to waste

    [Verse 2: Greg Delson]
    I can't decide
    If I'm just clinging
    Onto a promise
    Or to my pride
    But I can hear
    The answer ringing
    Somewhere sinking
    Down inside

    [Pre-Chorus: Greg Delson]
Cause all the love I have
Is all the love you gave
I try to make it last
    You try to walk away
    I've given all I can
    Say you've done the same
    We cannot change the past
    But we've still got today

    [Chorus 2: Greg Delson]
    So don't let it all
    Go to waste
    Don't let it all
    Go to waste

    [Bridge: Greg Delson]

And now all we got left's
    A lonely choice
    A fragile silence
    And I'm still fighting
    For more time

    [Pre-Chorus: Greg Delson]
Cause all the love I have
Is all the love you gave
I'm trying to make it last
    Please don't walk away
    I'm giving all I can
    Can't you do the same
    We'll never change the past
    But we've still got today

    [Chorus: Greg Delson]
    So don't let it all
    Go to waste
    Don't let it all

    Xero/Hybrid Theory

    ---Xero Adamant
This name is my own cause I didn't know what to call it. These are more short demos but they came from the Youtube
video by *. It is a reupload of Lucas Goulart who was terminated. I went and put the video into pieces
and found several shorts that exist within in the video but not in Xero Current (as far as I can tell). As I could not put a
name to them i used the song they came from and included an * to denote them. The songs are as follows:

-Unknown* (could not figure out the song)
-Chester Scream* (maybe from Crawling I Hate you So Much Intro Version?)
       -Coal*
-Hum* (could not figure out song but it is familiar)
-noo* (This goes with alar. they exist as one sample called noo_alar in XC Folder but exist as two separate songs in video.
As a result I separated the name too. These are a Part of Me)
       -alar*(same as above comment)
       -She Couldn't Chester Reverse*
       -Stick and Move*

    ---See (Hybrid Theory demo)
Again from another Youtube source. This one comes from a channel called *. It is a channel that creates albums
of various categories ranging from b-sides, demos, unreleased, rare live songs, and remixes. This song came from the *
album they made. It is a short instrumental and sounds very Linkin Park. However, the channel utilizes a lot of HPoaTT and have altered them to sound
better or straight up combined some of them. They have clear knowledge of music making and mixing.
Also, they used a fan-made song title as Faith Xero demo and passed it as a real Xero demo. They could of gotten it from another source and believed it. So, See could be a fanmade
song as well and they didn't know. I did ask them in a comment but got no reply as to date. I don't think this is real tbh.

    ---Pictureboard Original Xero
       From Youtube *

    ---Rhinestone Audition Instrumental
       from TJ Demonte

    ---Hybrid Theory Intro
From *. This is just an isolated audio clip. I can't exactly remember the song it came from but I know it.

    ---Step Up demo
From *. Short instrumental of Step Up. I feel they have access to Xero Current and combined the stems to make a
       passable demo

    ---AC Sample
From *. This a repeating of the unknown* song from Xero Adamant from up above.
I don't know what AC is.

    ---Untitled 001
From *. longer version of COULDVE from Xero Current

    ---Untitled 002
From *. combined version of ANDSTRIN and ASHES_BE from Xero Current Folder. Also longer

    ---In The End Synth
From *. Speaks for itself. Piano

    ---Runaway (Bridge Beat)
       From *. Speaks for itself

    ---Forgotten (Live Intro Beat)
From *. Speaks for itself. Just the isolated drum beat.

    ---Interlude 000
From *. Very similar to the LA Sequences in HPoaTT but more instruments included

    ---Old Intro 001
       From *. Short drum track

    ---Intermission 002
From *. Short instrumental of mostly drums

    ---Random 003
From *. Another short drum instrumental

    ---Dancer demo
from Youtube. Channel is now gone.

Remixes are very hard for me as there exist so many by fans. These are the few I found most interesting.

       From Vk.com

    ---Dialate shorts/stems/seeds
Another Youtube video from a channel called *. Video is called *
It is the only video up on the channel and it is isolated parts of the song Dialate. I have no idea how he got them. i thought it could of
been fake but they also have isolated vocals which gives it more credibility in my eyes. Broken apart and separated by me.

    *Meteora

    ---A.07
Sounds very Linkin Park. Short instrumental. Not full song. From MP3.com

    ---Meteora demo snippets
This was also downloaded from MP3.com. Several song snippets back to back. It sounds like a youtube video that was converted to an mp3.
Like, "hey, here are the songs link in the description for download" type of Youtube video. The songs go as follows

-A.07 (literally same as above. Above probably came from this meaning A.07 is most likely not the real name)
-Breaking the Habit (unknown version. very high pitch tune compared to all other versions including drawing)
-Unknown (It is familiar but I can't put my finger on it)
       -Halo from Underground 10
       -Broken Foot from Underground 11
       -Pepper from Underground 12
       -Rhinocerous from Underground 14
-Unreleased from Making of Meteora DVD

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    *One More Light

    ---Heavy demo
Told it's most likely fake as the stems exist online. From Vk.com

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    *I'm Not The One snippet
Found in a Google search from shady Russian website so will not share the site. Downloaded against my better judgement.
Instrumental snippet. Probably not real. And def not worth it. No viruses yet lol

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    *Warrior
Short clip of Mike rapping over a track. Very very bad quality. Cannot make out lyrics. I think it was from Youtube but I'm not certain.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    *New Song 2016 Demo
Instrumental. Positive is Riverline as 2016 is OML sessions and sounds nothing like it but I don't know Riverline well enough to tell.

Is there a way to get these songs/samples? I've never seen them before, though I feel I've heard of them before from somewhere else besides here.

    Studio recordings: Demo tape.
    Shows: Six shows.
Live recordings: None as far as we know.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These 3 need updated. Mark Wakefield was a part of 'The Pricks'. Dave Garrett is the bassist of both Karma and Relative Degree (as well as Xero for a brief time [before Dave 'Phoenix' Farrell]). The band members, studio recordings, shows, and live recordings of 'Xero' need updated too. 'The Pricks' and 'Relative Degree' both have studio recordings (demo tapes).

According to this interview with Dave Garrett, as well as this topic I made on his story, Relative Degree recorded some demos on a cassette that he still has to this day that he hasn't found yet. He also said that Karma recorded some demos on cassette that the old guitarist from the band has. Additionally, he mentioned who the band members of 'Karma' were: Dave Garrett (bass), Rob Bourdon (drums), Steve Hever (guitar), and Josh Dulay (vocals). They also jammed with a guitarist named Eliot for a while. One more thing, Dave Garrett says that Mark had a video camcorder that had captured video of their Roxy performance when they were a part of 'Relative Degree'. The audio quality of the camcorder sucked, meaning the audio quality of the performance is bad.

'Karma' needs to be added to this.

Also, according to Hoobastank guitarist Dan Estrin, Hoobastank (spelled Hoobustank at the time) filmed their first show on VHS, which includes 'The Pricks' footage as well, which Dan still has in his possession.

Well guys, I'm quite new to these forums, although I've been following them for a few years. I managed to create a comprehensive video of the Chiba show, combining all video and audio sources available (or at least the ones I'm aware of). I wanted to create the ultimate and best possible experience with this concert and uploaded privately on my YouTube channel.

Here's the link for you all to enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuApuF4Ib1k&ab_channel=DubStacks

If you manage to find other video or audio recordings (audience or official ones), let me know and I will update the project. I please ask you to give me your feedback if you like the end result! I tried my best to align video and audio, along with restoring them in the best possible way.

    Cheers everyone!

When I opened up the link to video, it says on the site that the video is private.

Based off the last phrase, maybe Mike Baczor gave Mark Wahlberg a demo of "Can't Hold Me Down"?

I messaged him about the demo he gave Whalberg through Instagram, and he replied with this:

    Quote

    That was a song

    Can't Hold Me Down

The demo I gave him I believe was just a bunch of songs I had finished

I don't remember what was on it... lol

well, it's hard to say for sure which era, but 2005 and 2006 the songs that were played were from HT and MT, so I believe that even summer sonic is still from the meteora era.

but what really matters is this show will be released one day :(

Yeah, hopefully the full show will be released eventually someday.

    This is what I see:

    Quote

Mike Baczor edits music videos just like he shoots off rapid-fire lyrics in his songs.

"Right there. Cut. Close up," he spatters. "Solo. Back to here. Crowd shift. Back to here. Girls dancing."

    Nevermind, there's more:

    Quote

Since The Times met with Baczor last September, much has happened. For one, the original band decamped after members grew discontent with the direction the group was heading in musically. It blindsided Baczor, who was left in the dust with a double-take. Lack of communication, he said, was the reason underlying the split. And more than a year since the breakup, it still seems to haunt him.

But the breakup is the only gray-if you even want to regard it as that-in the past year of dizzying bright career inroads. Take, for example, how Baczor cut a song with Linkin Park, starred in a movie with Mark Wahlberg and Greg Kinnear, and tightened his sound, now on the brink of mainstream awareness.

The latter can be attributed to rekindling his ties with Justin Rittle and Aaron Ohlong, the duo who were integral in laying the blueprint to Baczor’s hybrid sound (rock, hip hop, metal, electronic-all of the above). Rittle’s more of the low-profile studio wizard, according to Baczor, while Ohlong has been D-NAX’s lead guitarist.

Then there is Jarrod Showers of Pottstown, who fleshes out the sound on rhythm guitar.

    Quote

    D-NAX, meet Linkin Park

It takes some finessing to get Baczor to spill the beans over his March encounter with Linkin Park, partly because it happened eight months ago.

But there’s something more. In some ways, Baczor now looks at the hugely successful band as his peers.

‘What? Are you serious?'” he finally offers of his initial reaction when he heard about the meeting from his producer. “‘What happens if I mess up?'

Linkin Park got wind of D-NAX and invited Baczor to New York City to cut a track with him for his band. Holed up in a New York City studio for three days, it was all business, says Baczor. “When it comes to working, they get right down to it."

When I got there, we just clicked,” Baczor says. “Our styles just match up easily. We would collaborate and it worked out great.

Three days later, “Can’t Hold Me Down,” a track driven by the caustic collaborations of guitarist Brad Delson and turntable extraordinaire Joseph Hahn, is born.

They’re a big influence,” Baczor says. “They have a unique sound, and I try to make my music unique. It’s just pretty crazy."

They’re really cool guys,” he adds. “They don’t go out and party. Just really cool guys. It was just the coolest to have all of them there.

Baczor entertains the idea of some day going on tour with Linkin Park, an idea they implanted into him once he gets signed. “We would go perfect with them if we were to go on tour together.

We have the ability to sell as many records as they do,” Baczor says. “We like to keep a happy medium.

Baczor then mentions that he had a chance to give Mark Wahlberg a D-NAX demo that Wahlberg would listen to while warming up:

    Quote

    Hitting the Wahl(berg)

Then there are the side projects Baczor has been dabbling in, such as acting. So far, Baczor has starred in a handful of independent films and in September finished “Invincible,” the story of Vince Papale (Mark Wahlberg), an average Joe from Philadelphia who tries out for the Eagles and earns a spot on the roster. The Walt Disney movie also stars Academy Award-nominee Greg Kinnear. Baczor plays a wide receiver.

So what’s Dirk Diggler and the “Talk Soup” guy like?

He was just cool, joking around and what not-really a nice guy,” Baczor says of Wahlberg. So cool, in fact, that Baczor had to injure the actor’s arm during one of the dozen gridiron scenes. Accidentally, of course. Wahlberg recovered.

Baczor had the chance to give Wahlberg a D-NAX demo, which he would listen to while warming up. “Every single day I would get paid to play football with Mark Wahlberg,” he said. “It was kind of surreal.

Kinnear is more on the reserved side, according to Baczor. “He’s more quiet. He only talks to people if he’s talked to,” he said.

The ultimate for Baczor is to have the D-NAX sound wallpaper his movies, which some of the indie flicks are considering.

Acting for Baczor has been a seamless shift, which he credits with his onstage experience-a study in contrast to his everyday chill demeanor. “You get to be something that you’re not,” he says. “It’s kind of like a similar transition. I’m a pretty calm person."

I just envision how I think they (film crew) want the character to be.

    ‘Can’t hold me down’

I was thinking about this show today.
how amazing it would be to see this full proshot on Meteora 20th. 🙂

We'll most likely, possibly, get it as a part of 'Minutes To Midnight' 20 (MTM 20), since the show is from the MTM era of 2005-2007.

  17. I just noticed that in the video that Grey Daze posted on their Instagram of the small snippet of the drum take of “Spin”, the “oh yeah” vocal part sounds a little different from the actual song.
