  1. Hands Held High is an amazing song. It’s the ultimate anti-war song IMO. The lyrics are so heartfelt and great. Mike delivers them flawlessly, too. The reason some people didn’t like the song was because of the message but also because they said that Mike’s rapping didn’t fit well over the instrumental. However, the band originally sang over the instrumental, but Rick suggested to them that they try rapping instead because it would be something completely different. And it worked. The chorus is also super cool how they used each band member singing the amen line and combined them. It was cool seeing it explained on the Making Of MTM Webster Hall viewing version. Mike also has said during an interview in 2014 that the song was something really special. It’s a timeless song too because it can apply to today’s world just as much as it did in 2006 when it was written. The ending also is great with Mike singing those lines. Live, it wasn’t that bad, IMO. I know the band said that they never really loved how it sounded. I saw it played in Manchester, NH in 2008 and it sounded epic. I love just Chester singing the chorus. Some don’t. But they did a version in Toronto in 2007 with the crowd singing the chorus and it was also cool. Idk. It’s just a great song to me.
  2. Chester left Grey Daze in mid 1998, he was never in the band in 1999. He said he actually quit music altogether and was worked odd jobs during that time until he got a call about Xero in 1999. Anyways, cool info about the first time she met Chester, I knew she met him at a Grey Daze show, it's cool to know the date.
  3. Album is great!!! I hope they tour the U.S. this year in 2020!
  4. I’ll check it out either way. Mike said he was gonna lean towards production and shit after Post Traumatic so it makes sense. He’s a genius when it comes to it.
  5. I just want that Rhinestone from 1998 Music Sampler...... 😠
  6. Saw him open for Don Broco & Mike in Boston at their 2018 show. Maybe it'll be a good collab. Wonder if Mike just did the beat or production or if he did vocals, etc.
  7. Yeah they said that the band was upset about WAWY. Adam had a big temper tantrum about it and someone stupidly asked him about already released stuff like the HT demo promo discs and stuff and he said he doesn’t want those out there either. Even though they have been out since 2006 and after. Mike legit probably wouldn’t care about some old ass Xero demo from a compilation CD over 20 years ago, but the people who have it now have a good ass excuse to keep it for themselves and not share it.
  8. Someone MAY go rogue and just release it online, but it's doubtful, IMO. As you know, it was found out to be on a 1998 music sampler CD and a couple people snatched it up before the fanbase really knew about it fully. LPL is saying they have to ask Mike for permission to release it (which he obviously is gonna say no and he would have as well if he was asked about anything leaked over the years, it's not just because Chester died). The reason he was cool about past stuff is because it was already out there and he probably didn't want to seem like a dick to fans.
  9. Yeah Warner sucks and won’t release it. LPL has it.
  10. No, that Esaul was from 1999, not 2000, and was filmed in Mike's literal apartment. The Lockout series was filmed in a studio the band used in 2000 to rehearse and what not. Yeah, I think around 6, because MTM rehearsal shows had usually 5-6 songs and so didn't other stuff like the Rio Social promo thing which was a LT rehearsal show (6 songs), ATS for Kevin and Bean was like 6 songs, etc. Sometimes they even do more than that I think. I think the band played the entire THP album live in 2014 rehearsals but they only ended up playing half the album in 2014/2015.
  11. Supposedly it is. Who knows for sure unless it is somehow proved by Marc I guess, right? Pretty crazy though if it is. I wonder how many songs they played. What if it was just the 3 we know and then the rest of the footage was them just hanging out? Who knows. I bet there are more songs performed though. Maybe like 6.
  12. Damn I would really love those Ostrick tapes... They date from February 2000 so it’s likely the first ‘’show’’ of 2000 unless that one before it was a real show, but it’s not confirmed. 2000 = the year of HT, the year they took over the world. It would be so epic to have for 2020, celebrating 20 years. It’s a shame that the circumstances about it are so shit. He probably doesn’t even have the full footage, I bet, he probably lost it a long time ago. Or maybe he really does, after all, he released small videos from it in 2006. Maybe he has kept on to it all since then because fans were asking about buying it immediately back then. Sucks that since Chester passed, he has risen the price even higher. No normal fan of LP would ever be able to buy it. And even if a bunch of fans pitched in together, it would be way too much, even then. And there is also the issue of if someone buys it from him and doesn’t want to share it. Sucks all around. IMO it is the ultimate holy grail for something that we know exists (obviously there is better stuff but is impossible to get right now like certain DSP’s and demos, etc).
  13. He has been asking for large sums of money since it was discovered and I think that was in like 2006 maybe. Like yeah, fans definitely want it, myself included, but he is acting like he has every demo the band has ever made or something. I also agree that I don't see how he has rights to sell their music for that price, or any price. Maybe since he filmed it and they gave him permission at the time (obviously) so he has the rights.
  14. My parents got divorced when I was 11 and my Mom kept my Dad’s last name for a long time. Idk just don’t think it’s that uncommon and it’s the most irrelevant part of all of this anyways as to why she kept his name, who cares? She was married to him for like 10 years and had a son with him. Not that weird really.
  15. I know tons and tons of people who got divorced and keep the same last name. Not that uncommon at all IMO. Especially if their children have the same last name. Just because you get a divorce doesn’t mean that it never happened. And sometimes it doesn’t even mean that you stop loving the person, it all really depends, it’s all complicated.
  16. I don’t see why anyone would think otherwise. There is SO MANY demos compared to what we know about or have received over the years. Thousands for each album (this includes demos, b-sides, alternate takes of a song (some have 50+). It wouldn’t surprise me if they recorded better versions of the Xero tape songs and others. Maybe they even did the other Xero tape songs with Chester, we don’t know. I bet there are one for the other 4 songs though. What ever happened to that tape Mike posted on 7.20 in 2018, the Xero tape??? I bet there are like 4 versions or more of each song off of the Xero tape.
  17. Yeah she said she knew how much he loved Scott growing up and they were big shoes to fill, but he said he could do it. Or something like that. She talks about it in this interview. But yeah it is crazy. I mean she could just be saying that stuff because she says crazy stuff. But who knows. Shouldn’t have been aired out publicly if so but it’s out there so I don’t feel bad calling her out. Idk. I mean fans don’t know his personal life the way these people do. So it’s possible he could have really talked to her a few months before he died, like it’s not impossible. Maybe he wanted her to have 50% of the rights who knows. But I’m sure he didn’t talk to her about dying because it was a shock to everyone. She says that when Chris died she was worried about Chester. But in hindsight I guess anyone can say that.
  18. He did hate her. Haha. He bad mouthed her constantly from like 2005-2008. There are a lot of performances of In Pieces where he talked about her. Most memorable of those to me is Detroit 2008. Wow. I guess in 2009 they supposedly made peace according to Chester and Sam. But probably it didn’t last. Sam said on Facebook that they had a fight about him joining STP. So that’d be 2013. And apparently Chester hung out with her privately in 2016/2017 because he was photographed with her and Draven and also she claims he apparently sat down with her a few months before he died and ‘’told her everything about how Talinda wanted to divorce him, etc.’’
  19. Yeah that’s how it works in the U.S. too. Seems weird to me that he didn’t pay from 2012-2017, at first when Sam said that on Facebook back in 2017 I just assumed it was a lie because she says crazy stuff all the time. But if it really is true, that’s a shock to me. Maybe they had some kind of agreement if so because she definitely would have tried to get him put in jail if not. Haha. Seems pretty weird to me since he had a networth of like 25 million that he didn’t pay her.
  20. As much as I hate Sam, I can’t fault her for that, if there really wasn’t child support payments for that period of time. Just sucks she is such an a-hole about it all. Oh well. I hope this doesn’t discourage LP or others from releasing anything with Chester from here on out.... he was too much of a legend to never hear anything again from the massive vaults.
  21. She would only have 50% up until the divorce, so that is like 2005/2006. Chester said in Inked Magazine in 2008 that half of the publishing up until Minutes To Midnight is hers. So I would assume she can only block stuff (maybe projects with songs from those earlier years).
  22. Check out the Sendai 2006 one vs the 2008 piano version one. It’s a piano version but done way differently. It’s amazing.
