  1. It’s funny as hell Sean said ‘’Chester told me he loved her music one time’’ or whatever. At this point they can claim literally anything because they’ll just say Chester told them or Chester said, etc. It’s easy to say a dead man said anything, happens all the time after a person dies with people. I agree with Astat that behind the scenes they wanted her because her name was LP. Haha. I could just see them thinking that behind the scenes, obviously they would never come clean on it. And plus Shouting Out had a female vocalist back in the day so it was a no brainer for them.
  2. Everything you said is correct and I agree 100%. I have Time Capsule and the photo with Chester was from 2005 when Chester was living with Ryan Shuck at his house. It was actually from when they were rehearsing for the REact Now 2005 performance. But yeah. And they did include Chester on the release, the two live tracks from the 2011 acoustic Stars of the Season show, even though that show was a set of DBS/JK and The Messenger. Chester is heard all over the DTA stuff and the demos for it buried in the mix because he was 100% involved with all of the writing for that album all the way up until it’s release. He was also the executive producer for the album. Ryan and Amir are classy people who aren’t douchebags like Sean and Mace. They never bragged about him being as involved as he was in a bad way and never bad mouthed LP. They weren’t like ‘’Chester hates LP and wants to be with us full time’’ like GD is basically implying. I’m sure down the road they will release some of the DBS stuff that is unreleased. But they won’t do it at the fans expense, I guarantee it.
  3. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
  4. Agreed 100%. Photo isn't even relevant to the project whatsoever. If they had one of those group shots of Grey Daze from the 90's for sale, I'd buy that. But they don't want to promote Grey Daze as a band from the 90's. They are forcing it almost like it's some new band that Chester created right before he passed, like a day before he passed for Christ's Sake. They even took those portraits of the 4 of them and made it look like they all took a photo together for the album. Sean wants fans to forget about the original GD music and era.
  5. So why not focus on the actual music from the get go instead of all the drama and the psuedo shots at LP? Like the documentary was stupid AF. Just talk about how we joined the band and his story with the band and about the reunion. Why do they need his toxic family and other shit? They don’t.
  6. Yeah but you must not be familiar with Tobi’s posts, as well as Susan’s and Sam’s, etc. She was making a point with her ‘’IS a brotherhood!’’ statement. She has said many times that LP wasn’t a brotherhood and that Mike bullied Chester, etc. So for them to like that comment, it’s not right. And besides, Grey Daze basically feels the same as they do about it. So it was throwing shade subtly. Many of the things they do are. Many hardcore LP fans have noticed this, basically all the biggest LP fans that have supported everything essentially for years. That’s the problem. And the photo thing, it speaks volumes about Sean and also his reaction to it does too. He also was saying we don’t need Linkin Park blah blah blah but used a picture of Chester from a 2007 LP show for a GD poster? Cmon. He also kind of does need LP fans actually too if he wants to sell anything with this album. The name Chester Bennington is known because of LP not GD, just a fact.
  7. Hell yeah. Wish I never had ordered the WITE single. I never ordered the album.
  8. You’re correct it just doesn’t interest me that much. But hopefully people will enjoy the album, I have nothing against anyone who likes it.
  9. All this hype about alternate vocal takes is nothing much. It’s the same as like the backing vocals on NCSM with Chester singing the same thing slightly different. And they probably aren’t even that different at all. Sounds like one was used for that Hole remix for example judging by the video. That’s all it means. They only starting saying that once fans brought up that it was the same vocals from the 90’s so they could try and make it seem better.
  10. Agreed 100%. And the supposed ‘’alternate vocal takes’’ are still from the 90’s either way. They’re not much different at all from the vocals used back then anyways. Lol.
  11. Because Chester put it on hold to work on Minutes To Midnight and that lasted up until early 2007, and then LP went on tour for Minutes To Midnight which lasted until the end of Projekt Revolution 2008 (since the 2008 China shows after it were all cancelled). Ryan said that the album could have been done at the end of 2005 if they had wanted to call it done at that point. We did get Morning After (Remix) on the Underworld: Evolution soundtrack though, in January of 2006.
  12. Hopefully Astat can provide it then. It's true 100% though so you don't really need proof but yeah.
  13. Yeah I know... Imagine getting that original tracklisting Ryan had on the demo board at his house in 2007. My ultimate holy grail. Probably was the tracklisting for the fully done album in 2005 before they decided to re-work on it after PR08. Even if they don't re-mix the stuff or re-master it or whatever, I'd love if they released that album to us in any way, shape or form. I'd pay tons for it.
  14. Yeah dude, they stole Wesley's photo and printed in on merch and stuff and sold it and when he asked them about it, since he took the photo, Sean said ''too bad, I found it online''. Or something like that. Astat was talking about but other fans know of it as well. And again he took a photo that was used for LPU back in 2007 and was selling a poster of it, not sure if he has the rights to that one though, but still. And there are probably more examples.
  15. No it’s not. I’ve never come across a LP fan online who didn’t at least know what Grey Daze was, even if they didn’t know all of their music. It wasn’t a secret project. They released those albums back in the 90’s and they played many shows. Lost music to me implies that it was music that Chester recorded that never was released to the public in any way, shape or form. He didn’t even record new vocals for this project anyways. Yes, they may have ‘’used some alternate vocal takes that nobody has ever heard’’ but it’s essentially the same stuff. So even if LP fans didn’t know about Grey Daze, it’s still not lost music to me, as lost music is what I defined above. I don’t even really care anymore at all about the project. I just thought it was funny that the sticker on the CD at Target had the lost music quote for people who don’t know any better, it’s being sold as such.
  16. LOL the sticker on the Target CD says the lost music of Chester Bennington.
  17. Damn I really thought that was a guy. I’m sorry. 😭
  18. Nah it’s some other guy, he was shown on the documentary.
  19. Well they do have more music they could do. There are songs from Wake Me and No Sun Today that aren’t on this release. And they could also add in some demos and b-sides that they have (no idea how good of quality the vocals on those are, though). I agree that the whole ‘’if this album does well we will do a second or third release’’ is bullshit, though. I also am not a fan of this project at all and I won’t be buying any of the vinyls or any of that. Perhaps I’ll buy the CD with the two bonus tracks but idk.
  20. So it sounds like the new What's In The Eye in other words?
  21. Well said. My issue with this project was never the actual music. It’s just how they have been handling it, press wise, for all the reasons listed above. I have no problem with them releasing the actual music and I will listen to it, I even pre-ordered the physical CD of What’s In The Eye. I just hate the press stuff that has been going on. I wish they would release more stuff like that Making Of What’s In The Eye video because it described the process of making the song and what it meant to Chester way back when, stuff like that is cool to me. The other stuff is what turned off a lot of people.
  22. All the OOA versions were drastically different from the original versions. I like the originals way better. That’s why I thought it maybe a reimagining could be great. They could use the old versions and make them sound awesome and fresh. Take the original ‘05 release that was finished and re-work it, re-record instruments, polish it up, add guests if you want, shit like that. Ryan and Amir said it was done at the end of ‘05 and could have released it then had Chester wanted to. I think the tracklisting on the JK site in 2007 was that CD’s tracklisting. I bet the instrumental and introutro song were badass. Probably some dark ambient type shit.
  23. Exactly. Agreed 100%. And we know it’s not true. Mike said Chester was talking with the band about the future of the band and was super excited right before he died. And he also said Chester was super excited about the shows with Blink coming up. We didn’t even need proof though anyways.
  24. Let’s put it this way - I’m content with listening to the original Grey Daze stuff if I ever have an urge to listen to Grey Daze. Done with this carnival act of a release.
  25. Don’t you guys think it would be awesome if DBS did a project like Sean did with Grey Daze? They could re-imagine the songs, the 13 songs that made Out Of Ashes, and maybe the other 5 or so we know about that weren’t included with the album. 20 Eyes is a cover so probably not that one, naturally. Would be awesome. Many fans hate what Howard did with the album so this would be really cool, it would be a new chance for the DBS stuff to be done right. They could have some guests too, perhaps some people Chester admired just like the Grey Daze project did. Maybe Chester’s son (s) on a song or something too? Would be really cool IMO. And it would be a great honor to Chester. They could use some alternate vocal takes too just like Grey Daze did. Chester wanted to get DBS back together in 2017 so this would be a cool way to honor that as well.
