  1. Yeah definitely, the relevancy of the MTV Awards is due to the fact that it’s an MTV product lol. But yeah LP was never that kind of band. The problem with MTV and that kind of media is that they treat every artist the same, as if Katy Perry was bothered for her album to flop the same way LP was bothered by THP not hitting #1. I remember the title “new Linkin park flops and lands #3 on Billboard” 😂. I mean of course artists aim to success, I think there’s no artist that wishes his record to flop lol, but some of them see things differently and take artistry into consideration (like LP not making “some WID shit” working on ATS or not phoning in another LT in 2014). As Mike said on that Fantano interview a few months ago, they always tried to balance between commercially appealing stuff and more experimental/risky stuff
  2. 😂😂 yeah an unthinkable low with meanwhile MTM going platinum everywhere a few months after the release and WID crowned as one of the most successful rock songs of the decade 😂😂😂 The weirdest thing is MTV treats LP like Maroon 5, a band obsessed by success and “oh no our song wasn’t #1 it’s a failure” when they did stuff like ATS and THP that basically were a giant “Don’t give a fuck about mainstream music” lol. If LP were bothered by not winning the award they wouldn’t have done ATS after MTM for sure
  3. Yeah very mid 2000s, something I would have recorded and saw coming back to school more than a decade ago. Yeah lol for the VMA part 😂😂 I mean winning an award is important but MTM debuting #1 in literally every country and selling a million copies in the US in 2 weeks was a thing 😂😂😂
  4. God I expected it to be a old documentary and then THAT thing came on screen ...😣 anyway it’s great to see something LP related in 2021 on MTV
  5. I totally see Mike making comments about "Thoughts that take away my pride" in 2 years lol
  6. Still ruling after 4 years of inactivity. It’s pretty clear that now we can consider LP basically being in the Olympus of rock, beating legendary bands.
  7. Rick is awesome, without him the band wouldn’t have grown to create such masterpiece like ATS, but when it comes to MTM, there’s always something that makes me feel bored by listening to it front to back, I don’t know the exact reason
  8. Yeah 5 out of 6 members of the band are still there and they can do great things still honoring Chester’s memory and legacy. I don’t want to speak for Chester because who am I, but I’m pretty sure he would have never wanted LP to end with him. He was never that kind of egocentric frontman who thinks he’s the crucial member like “you’re nothing without me!”
  9. Totally agree on this, it’s a new chapter and Mike stepped up as a singer a lot. I don’t want to write down set lists or stuff like that but we all know Mike can sing a lot of post Meteora songs on his own and the crowd can support him with classics like ITE, faint etc. The retirement of songs they can’t perform at all without Chester (BTH, BID, ND...) is not a problem, it’s a new phase
  10. Yeah MTM and THP are the records where I’d have personally changed the tracklist order, no complaints obviously because I can listen to the songs in different order lol but with these two records I feel bored by the tracks order
  11. Oh I can see it, but I was never big on the songs order on MTM, like the Valentine’s Day to LTGYA sequence, but it’s my own personal view
  12. In my head GU and BIO should have been consecutive, LOATR between the 2 is quite weird, it’s like Victimized between COG and RU
  13. Chester era ended that sad day I totally agree but despite the fact, as you know, that I am a big on Chester’s “side” meaning solo projects etc..., I agree that with things going back to normal they should make a decision, come back or stop making music as a band, but not stay in limbo for other years. As much as I hope they come back, I know it’ll be A LOT different than the Chester era, we all know that, it’s not gonna be the same, and I admit that i probably won’t be as excited for new music as I was with the 7 albums with Chester, but I’m definitely looking forward
  14. Yeah I hope that too, I think we’re going to get news (good or bad I don’t know) in 2022😊
  15. Same here, these are the only things hyping me up in the LP related world right now
  16. Hum well, I don’t like Happy Endings and totally don’t care about these artsy projects, just not my thing, but I respect the fact that this is probably something he’s excited for and he’s willing to explore. So yeah, good only for him but I’m not complaining that much. There’s gonna be something exciting with LP somewhere in time
  17. He seems a lot more interested in these new kind of projects than in creating music in a standard/usual way. If he’s more satisfied in this we’ll, good for him.
  18. Yes man, they can’t make miracles or “add” vocals
  19. He said they’re not reworking “bad quality” demos (paraphrasing him) so I guess you’re right about him not having the master tape and f these demos.
  20. Oh my god I respect your opinion but LOATR to me is just Chester, it’s the perfect ballad
  21. Yeah that’s true, it instantly reminded me of the “tremulo” on OML and the effects
  22. I'm glad you like it man, matter of taste it's probably the 1st time we strongly disagree lol
  23. Yeah I rewatched her part today, as I said in the shout box, all my respect to her but sounds totally off, she shouldn’t have been on the song, it’s like if Mike tried to sing Wastelands chorus ... "Rest" was OK, nothing i'll come back (or I never came back, referred to the HB version), but COG...
  24. I like it a bit more (or dislike it less) than the studio version, she sounds more "natural" and less "super happy TikTok music"-esque live. It's good to see Mike on stage after nearly 2 years. Iann Dior looks like football player Justin Kluivert lol
