Just unbelievable to think that this is a real thread. 3 months ago it seemed so far away, almost impossible. Thanks for coming back, Linkin Park!

'Casualty' World Premiere + 'All For Nothing' Live Debut in Dallas
silverwing replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Wait for the studio version, man. -
Weird how it was done with an 3d printed OLD LP logo. All those old logos cool pictures are basically useless now. Seems like the new logo came way later in the process. As a designer, i would say the visuals got so "fluid" and "smooth" that the old logo with sharp edges didn't fit the concept. So the new logo is a natural consequence of those pictures.

2024.11.02 - London, ENG (League Of Legends Worlds 2024 Opening Ceremony)

Don't you guys feel Emily too shy, like she's restraining herself performance-wise. Not much facial expressions, not moving around. In Dead Sara her stage presence was insane. Was she nervous, maybe? Or this was briefed for this presentation, as not trying to take the spotlight from the event itself. -
Over Each Other is so under-advertised. Hope it gets some attention.

BBC Radio 1 New Music Show with Mike Shinoda - October 24, 2024

So, it kind explains the theory of why so many writers in each song. The songs were worked a lot, many times, by many different people. So, the final version might have tiny vestiges of something other collaborator did. -
Guess LP will get in the trend of releasing new stuff each 6 months tops. Singles, eps, remixes... not necessarily full lenghts.

There's a sound like a clock ticking. That's a good teach, it gives some tension, some urgency.

Linkin Park is hinting a new song 'Over Each Other'
silverwing replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
Yeah, this comeback cycle is the whole Linkin Park album cycle experience. Trolling, countdowns, big reveals, new songs, new heavy songs, new videos, new collabs with games, concerts, tour, ARGS... Damn, we could've never guessed and wished all of that! It's so wholesome. -
I'd say they'll be in a break for LP10. LP9 might feels like 2026.
-
LP is a trendy band. They follow the music business, and right now we live times that bands keep releasing singles and eps. Bet they would keep that, probably more songs released in 2025. And a full lenght every 2 year.

That interview was awful. Brad gave zero fucks.
-
My guess is that Mike and Brad had sessions with many musicians since 2019, not necessarily for Linkin Park. And they created some seeds/demos. When the band evolved to what it is now and they worked on those seeds for the album, all those musicians have to be credited too.

Linkin Park Releases "Heavy Is The Crown (Live)" from London

That's an unpopular take. Most people around here think OML Live was top 5 bad decision in their career. -
LPTV FROM ZERO: World Tour 2024, Part 2 [Episode 5]
silverwing replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
Very cool seeing more of Emily's personality. They are feeling a little too professional in the backstage, and LPTV was a lot about goofing around. Guess it'll loosen up as time goes by. -

Mike commented on his stories that the band somehow didn't had footage of that part and used fan footage. -
Linkin Park Adding New Music to November Concerts
silverwing replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
The investment on the 360 stage was probably millionaire. I doubt they'll leave for it and never use it again. Next year we'll see more of it. -
Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil
silverwing replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
That's absurd. I bet if we had 2 or 3 more 20k venues, in different regions of Brazil, they would sold out easily too. -

i would like some interviewer to ask them about the album songs, if all of them are demos from the past 1 year, or if some of them are older demos as long 2019. not a single interviewer or even the fans on the livestream asked about if HITC was really made for LOL or if it was adapted for it. We need more info on the production! Guess now that the first leg of the tour ended, they will focus more talking about the album itself. -
Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil

People are going insane on the Livenation social media. They're saying it was allowed 8 tickets per person. That's too much! They probably did that already knowing there was going to be at least one more concert. There's still some people claiming one more date in Rio de Janeiro is happening (i doubt so). -

A few topics: - The new album is "AGGRESSIVE". There are some sigfinicantly heavy songs. Casualty being one of them. He's excited to play that one. - There are some soft songs on the album. - Someone asks "what's the genre?" and he sarcastically answers "have you ever heard Linkin Park at all?" - Mentions new album has lots of profound lyrics. - He mentions more new songs being produced right now with great lyrics and would possibly be released during 2025. - He mentions playing big festivals in 2025, just don't know which ones. - Loves playing Papercut. Hardest song is The Catalyst because of the almost "off beat" it has. But mentions no song was really hard to learn. - His favorite band of all ir RATM. His favorite band right now is Sleep Token. He knows a lot about rock/metal (mentions bad omens, spiritbox, slipknot, avenged, parkway drive, a day to remember, one ok rock, ...) - He mentions meeting Chester just once in a backstage, talking to him very briefly but in a very warmth way. - He mentions playing a lot of different instruments during From Zero production, and doing backing vocals too. He says the production is "all over the place", so He, Mike, Dave, Brad... all play instruments here and there. - Someone asked about "how the production on the album was divided between him and mike", and he answered kind of in a evasive way, telling to "ask Mike". But in other question he said it's "transcendental" to work with Mike. - He knows how to play lots os instruments "not very well", but says he's pretty good in 3 or 4. But drumming is his primary skill, he play drums since 6yo. - He mentions Emily once or twice, saying the first time he met her... he was in the studio with Mike and this singer was in the booth singing and he asked Mike "who's she? i know this scream". And Mike said Emily from Dead Sara... and Collin already knew Dead Sara, heard some old songs and liked it. - He seems to really know a lot about LP songs, mentions some deep cuts like In Pieces and such. Says he grew up listening the band. - He answers about "replacing Rob", that's not replacing at all, it's keeping the band alive, it's going forward. He's inspired by Rob and would never dare to literally "replace" him. -

Chester himself was clean-singing almost all songs in the last years. Emily is doing great dinging her balance. The voice-cracking is happening a lot for a professional singer, but it's all about her finding her limits. It's working itself up. The performance is outstanding.
