  1. With a CC20 release, the mass public would start to talk much more about "milking chester's legacy". It would be too much, like the band is trying too hard to stay relevant with old material.
  2. Female vocalist is a genius move for avoiding comparison. Just hope they find someone with a unique tone/timbre, not the generic pop female singer like that Sydney Sierota from the Hollywood Bowl. Wasn't bad, but far from anything especial. Over the last few years the only female vocalist i would call outstanding is Courtney from Spiritbox. That's a one in a million voice. Bonnie really did surprise me in the Bleed it Out video, and it was the test i needed to accept LP with a female singer. It can happen and it can be very good! Can't picture them going with a novice singer, not well known or already being part of a relevant band. It's a tough job not only in a singing level, but in a interview/media level, in a stage presence level, in dealing with expectations level... that's a tough responsability, and it takes experience to deal with that. About Rob, not really a surprise. It's sad but understandable. I could see him featuring in one or two songs in concerts near his home or something like that. Frank Zummo is the call, he was amazing in the Hollywood Bowl and very respectful for Rob's parts. Regarding Joe, let's see. This was the biggest surprise so far. Thinking replacements, Jordan Fish came to mind, but he's too similar too Mike in the production level and it could get a little bit weird.
  3. this artwork is nice, it gets pretty obvious now Maddocks was going to a antidesign style (Twenty One Pilots is doing the same, this graphic design movement is blowing up)
  4. Let me tell you from the perspective of someone from a small city from a 3rd world country: WE LOVE TRIBUTE BANDS. Or tribute anything, we love "impersonators" of anything (football players, movie actors...) If that wasn't an option, we would never have a chance to see anything similar to the greatest acts in the world. Tribute bands are a way to fulfill that desire of seeing something we can only dream watching from a screen. We see them as a gimmick obvisouly, and it's so fun! Just don't take it so seriously. There are BILLIONS of people living away from the main centers were artists tour around. There's no such thing as "World Tour", lots os countries and cities don't have a chance. So, i guess the situation here is that HT got big! Maybe way too big that if feels like they are replacing Linkin Park and i'm pretty sure the guys from HT would never ever even think about it, the public put them in that spotlight, the public is commenting all those awkward things in their videos on youtube. The band itselft is doing a homage and making money from doing it in a great way! They are working. Maybe they crossed the line of a Tribute band because they got big, that i agree. It just shows how there's a big demand for LP out there.
  5. The "ooohs" feel so dry and raw, like they removed some of the layer effects it had. Someone opened the file to edit something and export and fucked up removing something they shouldn't had. The "light" thing totally sounds like another take.
  6. 2025/26 is the perfect window for LP's comeback. 27 we will have the MTM20. Then again 28/29 the new material can come around until ATS20. It's a back and forth between "old" and "new" LP.
  7. Very cool! Thanks for putting it out for us. Would be so fun to have a light-hearted episode about "worst choices" in their career, like the GATS music video and such.
  8. not having a new modern mix for QWERTY was a wasted potential. Anyways, many casual people will have their minds blown.
  9. i bet he heard someone talking about Mike's Already Over Sessions and got all mixed up.
  10. Oh, nice! The band does deserve a big biographic material.
  11. Is there any sign of QWERTY turning out into a single?
  12. There's a whole genre right now that's basically early Linkin Park. All those new "post-metalcore" bands are clearly heavy-influenced. Just play the playlist "The Core" on Spotify and you will basically hear modern-faster-Linkin Park.
  13. Isn't it a bit sad how we hype so much for a new release, then 1 week after it's realeased the magic is gone? It's a bittersweet feeling, like i'm taking things for granted. Best example of this was Pictureboard, i think. 2 decades craving for it, and after the release it all just gets behind like it never happened or meant much.
  14. Everything feels rushed, really. The MS Already Over campaign felt like it would last longer (the first Studio Sessions had a 1month interval between them, and the 2 or 3 last ones had 1 week). The Critters thing (his website game) also ended abruptly and some prizes are still to be acknowledged and delivered. Definitely something odd happened here. But hey, let's enjoy! Thank you so much for releasing one more song with Chester ❤️ that's all that matters.
  15. FF is a good song, good energy there. Feels redemptive. Will probably be a mainstream success.
  16. Qwerty was a surprise. I'm curious to see how a heavy song will perform within the mainstream. Would be cool a new Qwerty mix! About the artwork, the album cover is ok. A little bit lazy, but fine. The Friendly Fire one we have is weird. Weird color, weird type that don't seem to harmonize. And the ugly elypse element thing (that i totally remember Maddocks tried some stuff like that in the past, in those scrapped logos and elements for the past album cycles) About the THP missing, i can totally see a 10 year deluxe edition celebration incoming with a proper release and better marketing campaign than the original release.
  17. would be cool to have a 10 year re-release of THP. Since the original marketing campaign was awful, they have an opportunity to reissue the album with 2 or 3 b-sides.
  18. Band members, management and label are fully aware that leaving this blank space in the 14th track would create some mayhem in the hardcore fanbase. Do they have something to live up to the hype they are creating? The artwork in all of this feels so amateur it doesn't indicate anything big coming up. But we already have the confirmation of Friendly Fire. Odd stuff.
  19. 1. Announce a Greatest Hits collection - people remember what the band was and sounded like. 2. Insert a never-released song there from the last album cycle. 3. Promote it everywhere, generates a lot of attention (Lost-like). 4. Beautiful homage to put an "ending" in the old era. 5. Release a brand new song, promoting the start of a new era. Single out everywhere. 6. "Mike Shinoda and Friends" was all along a placeholder for Linkin Park coming back.
  20. The supposedly new song being #14 on the tracklist seems so off. Right in the middle, between two randon songs. Doesn't fit even with the start/end of a vinyl side. Odd choice.
  21. And this message right here gets buried in the middle all the non-sense. So expected release is Feb 22?
  22. As I recall, RU was on Need For Speed (flopped movie), not FF franchise.
  23. This discussion is what's awesome and unique about Linkin Park. The band has such a fusion sound that some of the hardcore fans are EDM influenced, some are HipHop influenced and others are Metal influenced. And obviously each one will think album X or Y is waaay better and the "true Linkin Park peak"
  24. A Brazilian fan page called Road To Revolution BR is saying the Singles Collection is coming apr 12, and Friendly Fire os being release this month
  25. Hm, a big Brazilian fan page is saying Frank Maddocks and other visual artist were involved and it's a new OML single.
