Well I just took a bunch of different quotes from interviews for that. I know Fire and Too Late are from the Shockhound interview and WIC is from the Rockline Interview, someone called in and asked him what the song was about. All the others I have pieced together from tons of different interviews.

Chester has done the screaming after the solo at Hamburg, NYC and Ulalume and I'm pretty sure pretty much every other show. I don't know what you're talking about.
-
Fire - Chester has said this was about his own religious views. Originally the lyrics were more from his religious views, but were later changed a little bit so it wasn't too personal. Crawl Back In - Chester has said it's about relapsing and the pain you feel from being addicted to something. Too Late - Chester has said this was about his own religious views. Originally the lyrics were more from his religious views, but were later changed a little bit so it wasn't too personal. Inside Of Me - Chester has said it's about being away from his wife and kids while on tour, and wanting to get drunk to take away the pain. Let Down - Chester has said this song is about not wanting to repeat the same mistakes again from his first marriage in his second marriage. Give Me Your Name - Chester said he wrote this song for his wedding with Talinda and even danced to this song during his wedding. He wasn't sure if he wanted to include this song on the album, but decided to in the end. My Suffering - Chester has said it's a song about how being a drug addict and alcoholic has helped him become successful in ways, because he was able to write about the pain and despair, which spawned huge hit songs like 'Crawling' with Linkin Park. Condemned - Chester has said this song is about how he liked feeling like shit all the time at one point. He was a bit vague on this one, but if you know his personal history, you can easily figure it out. Into You - Chester has said this song was about falling in love and meeting someone who you want to spend the rest of your life with. End Of The World - Chester has never really said specifically what this song was about, but he usually refers to it as a ''good fucking rock song'' a lot before playing it at DBS live shows over the years. Walking In Circles - Chester has said this song was about not being a sheep in society, and having your own thoughts and your own views, and feeling separated from the rest of society because of this. In The Darkness - Chester has said this song is about the art of making love and the passion that goes with it. Morning After (Bonus Track) - Chester has said in 2001 when he performed this song with Linkin Park, that the song is about the anticipation of one day making it in the music business, as well as sleeping in his car at one point. On later dates he has said this song is about simply partying too hard.

Exactly. I don't blame him for not wanting to play it live, I wouldn't want to if I was him. Into You and In The Darkness both might not be played for the same reasons. I know DBS played In The Darkness acoustically this Summer but that was when nobody knew anything about DBS so he probably felt more comfortable.

Name 8 players from the team without looking them up.
-
The Yankees always win because they have enough money to buy all the good players. Anybody that isn't a Yankees fan themselves will tell you the same thing.
-
The reason he doesn't want to play Give Me Your Name live is probably because he doesn't want people to boo him and tell him that the most important song he has ever written sucks because it's not heavy/doesn't have hip-hop in it. LP fans in general tend to forget that DBS isn't LP and it has absolutely nothing to do with LP so obviously it's going to sound different. It's common sense.
-
Exactly. Why wouldn't DBS get a full set anyways? It's fucking Chester Bennington. And besides if they were to get a shortened set time, trust me they will play Morning After. And btw Astat, I just saw DBS in NYC and at Ulalume and the Morning After they played was different. The drum intro and the screaming both are not in the studio version.
-
We got a studio version of Morning After in 2006.
-
Why? Obviously they will play Morning After. They didn't cut it even with the shortened setlist.
-
I can't wait for a high quality rip of Morning After which the screaming!
-
Hell yeah! We'll get a high quality webcast! I can't wait for this.
-
I've been thinking lately that it would be awesome if they release like an iTunes EP or something of some rehearsal sessions or some acoustic versions of the songs. They could include 20 Eyes (Studio) on it too. I highly doubt we will ever get something like that though.
-
I like the studio version the best.
-
Seriously? What inteview? That's fucking awesome! I'd love to hear it. Speaking of acoustic tracks, are we EVER going to get 20 Eyes studio like Chester said we would? Why can't he post it on Twitter...

Awesome pics!
-
Fu should mix LP shows instead of Pooch.
-
It was Kid Cudi, Dead By Sunrise, AFI and then Paramore.
-
Thank you! I wish we could get more performances from Ulalume besides CBI and Let Down but oh well, at least we got these.
-
Suns have thoroughly annihilated! Lol.
-
I definitely am. That would be awesome.

Where are the rips?

All the things you hate/dont like about LP
Geki replied to JZLP-Benningstrong's topic in Everything Linkin Park
1. I just turned 19 and I don't have a job. I'm not rich by any means and I still am able to travel to shows. You can make it not too expensive if you are smart about it. LP isn't going to play across the street from your house, you have to travel to see them like pretty much everyone else on any LP board does. 2. Who ever said it counted as playing a song? Mike does that just for fun, they've been doing it since PR07 and the fans seems to love it since they are requesting verses so why would he not do it? Would you rather just have the boring tired-ass album version performed live instead? At least Mike took some initiative to change the set up. 3. I agree that I'd rather go and enjoy the show more but choosing to record is up to you. Who said you had to? I don't understand this one... 4. How the hell doesn't LPUTV count as an exclusive to you? It's footage that nobody else besides people in the LPU can see so it technically is an exclusive, maybe just not to you. I happen to thoroughly enjoy the LPUTV episodes. We also got Crawling (Live) and Lockjaw during LPU8 as well as M&G passes like always and everything else they offer such as the newsletter. I don't get this one really either... 5. So you're saying because people on this site, including me, Hahninator and everyone else don't have a life because we like to go to concerts? Wtf? Everyone chooses how to spend their time differently. You're not really in the position to tell people they don't have a life because people go to shows and you don't. Again, don't really understand this one. 6. How was it not played from 03-07? They played the remix all throughout 2003 and I'm not sure if they did in 2004 but I think they did. They also played the piano version of the song from 2006 throughout the end of 2007, they then played the album version in 2008. Just because it wasn't the album version doesn't mean they didn't play the song, they just played different variations of it. I happen to think the remix is the best version of the song so I loved when they played it in 2003. 7. Every single one of LP singles (except for a few) have done exceptionally well on the charts. LOATR is a great amazing song IMO, tons of people liked it. Twilight as a franchise may suck but just because the song was in the soundtrack doesn't make it suck. That has to be the stupidest reason I have ever heard to not like a song, because it was on a soundtrack. I would still think Walking In Circles for instance was a great song if it was chosen to be on the soundtrack for a new Hannah Montana movie. 8. I want to hear Part Of Me and Carousel played live as much as the next person but we are all pretty positive that won't happen anytime soon, if ever. They haven't played them since before 2000 so you can't really be mad that they don't play them live 9 years later... 9. A lot of people were hoping for more than one US show but we knew last year that the band would not be touring this year and they would be working on the upcoming album. I'm still pretty happy that we at least got a world tour this Summer, they could have not played any shows at all. It's not like you were the only one who wasn't happy with just Epicenter, a lot of fans would have liked to see LP tour the US this year but nobody else complains about it. -
Agreed, it was a cool article.
-
Yep. If you think about, people do this every time an album comes out. 'Why always What I've Done?' when MTM was released. 'Why always RTN or Where'd You Go?' during TRT. And now 'Why always Crawl Back In or Let Down'? Because they are the damn singles!
