Just listened to this song, it's fucking AWESOME. I love Mike's vocals, the verses are incredible too. The lyrics are pretty powerful, I like it a lot.

I wish there was a video of it! I missed it like usual, always busy when they happen.

I wouldn't mind getting a live CD again for 10.0, as long as it's not something like 7.0 was. I actually love all the live tracks on every LPU CD except for 7.0, I hate that CD. Maybe they'll do something like 3 studio songs, 3 live songs. 8.0 and 9.0 both haven't been live and I think they really gave back to us with 9.0, I never thought we would have ever gotten stuff like the Faint demo and stuff like that.

I agree that DBS is pretty much over with. They just completed a tour and they have no future touring plans as of yet. Out Of Ashes has been out for a long time now and it hasn't done that well, Chester even said so himself. So I don't see why they are releasing another single, most likely in hopes of people wanting to buy the album after hearing it which I doubt. Let Down had way more of a single appeal than Too Late does IMO and it didn't do THAT great really.

Tak says Mike fucked them over probably because SOB wasn't a huge successful artist. Ryu has GBC which is way more successful, and maybe Tak is jealous? Who knows. Kinda sucks though because I wanted to hear Reseda Beach.

I highly doubt they will play Blackbirds live...it seems like one of those songs (Not Alone, She Couldn't, New Divide, Dedicated, Standing In The Middle, No Roads Left, etc.) that is just a 'rare' track. Although they could, who knows.

It feels like we haven't had an LP song with Mike rapping and Chester singing since the Meteora days for me. BIO and Qwerty have that, but not like the way Blackbirds does. I can't wait.

You could be right...I guess I won't count Qwerty or ASP. Blackbirds is definitely the 6th string song though, I just listened to the clip and it has the same beat and melody, I can't believe we are actually getting it after all this time. Mike probably saw all the posts in the LP community about the 6th String Song so he decided to give it to us. Fucking awesome. But yeah, the b-sides that we have are No Roads Left, Across The Line and Blackbirds, so you are right, we're missing two more. I'm happy with the 3 that we have though, 2007/2008/early 2009 I never would have thought we'd get ATL or Blackbirds up until now. Not Alone was a MTM demo too, right?

I think you'll be able to download it to your iPod, the screenshot in the video shows 'download' so you probably can somehow.

I hope it's not April 29th...that's so far away! I can't wait another month to hear this song, I'll go crazy. The LPU should like add Blackbirds to the LPU jukebox, I know I'll still buy the game even if I already have the song that comes with beating it, and I know a bunch of other people will still buy it too. I mean, I hope LP isn't expecting to sell TONS with this app, it's just an iPod game.
