We didn't know the confirmed named of the single was indeed A Thousand Suns. I think it's safe to say that now we know for sure that that's the singles named and it's coming out in early August.

I don't like the first 2 minutes of it...Mike sounds better with heavy guitar backing him up. IMO. Chester should have sang the song!!!

I agree fully. The piano version was ok at the 2006 Summer Sonic shows. 2007 was the fucking worst, they played it basically every single show piano style. But then they kept playing it the same way all throughout 2008 until the Summer, and then played the studio version. Then it just got really boring and annoying.

I think they'll use a new song for an opener. Maybe not for the new dates, but for the next US tour or something like that, I think they will. Basically once the album is released and everything since we still don't have a definite confirmed release date. New Divide would be a really cool opener though, IMO.

I'm going to go ahead and say that What I've Done basically saved LP's career nearly. It was the first single off of the album and it did really well, lots and lots of people loved it. It was even used in Transformers which was a huge movie at the time. I think it promoted MTM well and really helped LP out a lot. It's a great song, I think it's one of the best LP songs to date, it's just very radio friendly.

Nice, I hope they're almost done with vocals. I love Mike's hair like that.

By Myself, Forgotten and With You all suck IMO. I used to like them when I was younger, but now they just seem really cheesy.

You totally misunderstood what I said, I didn't word it well, now that I look back on my post. I meant I wish people wouldn't bitch about the theme being religious. I think the lyrics are great and I never said the band members couldn't believe in whatever they wanted. I was basically saying not to judge LP for using this style of writing, that's all. No need to flip out.

Highly agreed. Nothing can come after TLTGYA for me. Chester once said before the album was released 'The closing track is a song called The Little Things Give You Away. Nothing could come after it, because everything would be eclipsed by it. No Roads Left is a shitty song IMO. It should never come after TLTGYA.

I pretty much agree with this, but I didn't see New Divide live unfortunately. I've just heard live rips of it tons of times. But yeah, Across The Line is probably my favorite of these 4 tracks by far. The melody is just amazing and the lyrics are really good.

If the puzzles are going to slowly release the tracklisting for the album, that would be amazing. A Thousand Suns and The Catalyst are both kick ass names. I have a feeling I'm going to love the lyrics or concept of this record, if there is one. It's sounding very epic, just like Meteora had that epic name coming from the Monastaries in Greece, right? I'm Greek so I was excited to find that out long ago. I just feel like the lyrics on this album were worked on a lot harder than previous albums.

I hate when people say ignorant statements and act like Christianity is the only religion. There are tons and tons of religions and lots and lots of people and cultures believe in different Gods. I hate when people try and push there religious views down on others. I'm not saying anybody in this thread said anything like that because I don't want to piss people off, but it's going to suck when the new album is released and it has lyrics like the new puzzle. I'm not an atheist, but I do not believe in 'Christ'. I don't believe in Christianity at all. I do believe in a God, my God, but it's more spiritual than anything.

Not at all. Chester's lyrics are just raw emotion, they're simplistic, but they really get the emotion out in the song. I love all of Chester's lyrics.

Both Muse and 30 Seconds To Mars are amazing bands. I'd be happy if LP took this direction lyrically. It's better than writing songs like Numb. Lol.

A Thousand Suns sounds like an awesome title, whether it be a single or album IMO. I have a feeling the lyrics are going to be amazing on this album. Anyways, I think we might get an official single release date and title of the single this week. Not getting my hopes up though. I wish we would get some new LPTV...

A lot of people say that Valentine's Day was just a filler, but I bet these people didn't know that it was one of the first songs written for the album. I think it's a great track. The music is beautiful and the vocals are really powerful. But anyways, I could go on with facts about MTM forever...I'll stop now.

If the new album is lyrically going to a concept album dealing with different song ideas stemming from different religious views on life, it's going to be fucking amazing. That is such a sick idea for a concept album...
