  1. I think that the LPU should only get demos from now on and not any live/covers/remixes.
  2. Bring back the RAR 2004 intro for Numb and I would be all over it.
  3. Yeah, a whole LPU CD worth of covers is way too much. I do wish we have a HQ version of My Own Summer, but we already have HQ versions of Wish, Rolling In The Deep, Sabotage, Little Boxes and others. I just want demos again this year, but some really cool ones.
  4. Wish I could go to this.. So many good LP shows are in California and on the west coast. I hope whoever is going has a blast!
  5. Shinoda has helped give us some awesome stuff over the years.. Back in 2008 I would have never thought we would get stuff like Across The Line, What We Don't Know, I Have Not Begun, Pretend To Be, Slip, Blue, So Far Away and all the other awesome rare stuff as well.
  6. That's what I'm saying, there is no way the band chose the tracks. Some of them are good performances, like TLTGYA from Atlanta and Faint from Holmdel, but the other's are just meh compared to some other performances from the tour.
  7. I've come to the conclusion that the only LPU CD that I actually hate is LPU7. I like all the other CD's. I love LPU5 and I will stand by that, I know everyone here hates it, but I don't. LPU3 was cool because those songs weren't included on the CD. LPU7 just sucked IMO. We had the WHOLE tour in DSP's, not reason to make a 10 track CD for the fanclub. The band also said it was ''their favorite performances'' of the songs, yeah right. There is no way those were because I can personally think of way better performances from the tour.
  8. To me, I don't even put all the LPU CD's in the same category. I separate 1-8 with 9-12 because LPU9 started the trend of 10 demos each CD which is awesome, even though LPU9 only had 9. 1-6 were cool back then to me because we never got DSP's or any live stuff that was super HQ back then so it made it special. Plus the odd demos that were on the CD's were cool to have as well. As far as rating goes, I would say this for me (in order of best to worst) 1. LPUX 2. LPU9 3. LPU11 4. LPU12 I really didn't like LPU12 to be honest. I was super excited at first because there were 5 MTM on it and that is what I wanted. But when I heard the MTM demos, I didn't like them. Only 2 of them had vocals and they were incomplete vocals at that. I was hoping for more stuff like ATL, WWDK, Pretend To Be, Pale, etc when I think of MTM demos. I also didn't see the need to add Forgotten which we already had for ages, or Points. I know people liked Points because it had the 2 second difference, but I thought it was useless personally. So Far Away is solid gold, and I love Homecoming, but I don't really like any of the others. LPU11 wasn't the best but I did like that one a lot because of Slip, Blue and Bang Three.
  9. The big problem with that is that Numb was a huge single, and it became even bigger with the Numb/Encore mash-up which ending up winning a Grammy and also was mashed up with Paul McCartney on Yesterday added into it. LP won't drop their huge hits. Granted, they dropped Crawling, but that was only because Chester had a lot of trouble with it and couldn't do it anymore. The easier to sing songs like In The End, Numb and What I've Done, I don't think will ever be dropped. Those are all in all LP's biggest hits of all. New Divide as well because of Transformers 2. I would like to see Numb go personally, but imagine the shit storm LP would get for it.
  10. Still, LP hasn't played Greece since 2009 and it took them a long time to come to Greece, the first time was in 2008!
  11. Mike co-produced on MTM, and I am pretty sure he did on ATS and LT too, right??
  12. If you remember back in 2007, they had the 15 LPTV episodes for sale on iTunes. The LPU also had 15 LPU episodes to go along with the 15 LPTV's. I think LPUTV9 was originally Carpets, but for some reason they decided to take it down and not use it or just replace it with Unicorn Of Power instead. Hmm.
  13. I love Rick as a producer for LP because he made MTM which IMO is like the best album of all time for me, and he also worked with them on ATS and also in LT. I enjoyed all those albums and I am sure I will next time to. He gives LP freedom and Rick is VERY knowledgeable when it comes to music, Mike says that all the time. I think a lot of LP fans seem to not understand how smart and brilliant Rick is.. which is a shame.
  14. More than likely. I imagine the band will continue to keep working with Rick until they either stop making albums or Mike can produce by himself.
  15. Yeah, most of the demoing and writing and some recording was done in early 2006 for DBS, and the remix came out online around December 2005 and was released in January 2006 on the Underworld Evolution Soundtrack before anywhere else. I bet it was the same vocal recording considering a lot of DBS work was done in 2005/2006 and not in 2008. Chester actually wrote 3 new songs in 2008 for the album that weren't originally on there, Condemned, Inside Of Me and he re-worked Fire completely because they wanted some big ''rock'' sounding songs. Chester also said in August 2009 that Out Of Ashes originally was going to be a 10 song album, but with the addition of those 3 songs, it ended up being 12. Morning After was going to be on the main album and Fire was going to not be on the album. Pretty interesting.
  16. It was definitely called Carpets. And there is no Unicorn Of Power Part 2 on the LPU website, so it doesn't matter anyways.
  17. Yeah, someone sent me that video in like 2007 I think. I saved it to my computer and then I put it on YouTube years later when I found out that no one had it. Weird. LPU episode 13 isn't on there either, the contest episode where fans won the LPU referrel contest and got to hang out with the band in the Houdini House.
  18. I love the making of Pts.Of.Athrty on my Reanimation DVD. I'm happy I got that when I did.
  19. I don't know, I still remember a bunch of videos that aren't currently on the LPU website from back in the day. I could be wrong I guess, but I swear I remember some...
  20. If LP is going to continue to keep TINFOIL in the set for Asia, they NEED to play POWERLESS after it. That would be so epic. POWERLESS is/was a single in Japan, and it was also used for Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter last year, even if that wasn't a big movie. It was also used for that whole Music For Relief video and everything, and technically had it's own music video in a sense as well. LP could definitely pull it off live and I bet it would sound amazing. POWERLESS has to be one of my favorite songs on LIVING THINGS, if not one of my favorite LP songs to date. The perfect opportunity would be to play it live in Asia and it would make sense on so many levels. If they don't play it live this Summer, I have no hope to ever hear the other half of LIVING THINGS live at any point because when they release a new album, only the singles from LIVING THINGS will survive in the sets. It's shame, so much wasted potential. Songs like I'LL BE GONE and POWERLESS would have been really great live, and I remember Mike saying he wanted to play UNTIL IT BREAKS live in full last year, it's a shame they never did that either because that would have been awesome, imagine Brad singing live as well!!!
  21. I agree as well. I loved how on older LP albums (HT, Meteora, MTM & some ATS songs) you could hear Rob's drumming. Especially on MTM, the drums were raw and sounded amazing. I really would much rather listen to Rob playing then just the overload of electronic beats. I did like the guitars on LIVING THINGS to be honest, but I would also rather have Brad be more audible and I would definitely rather have Phoenix be more audible then the electronic bass stuff. Overall, I want a less electronic sounding record for the 6th album. I remember in an early LIVING THINGS interview in about mid to late 2011, Chester said that there weren't a lot of 'sounds' going on, but they were good songs. LIVING THINGS has more 'sounds' going on then pretty much any other LP album. Lol. Anyways, I want to the album to sound new and fresh as well. I don't want Hybrid Theory Part 3, and I do not want another MTM or ATS, either. LIVING THINGS did kind of sum up all of LP's work at that point, but I would like them to now push it farther and maybe do some more experimenting, I just don't want another ATS because that would be cheesy if LP did that. I want good vocals as well, some rapping and singing from Mike and some singing AND screaming from Chester, I want some more aggressive vocals from Chester this time around while he still has the energy to pull it off.
  22. We need some heavy LP stuff for once.
  23. I think it should sound like the LIVING THINGS sound just taken farther.
  24. Is that from the NYC 2010 show?
  25. I have that shirt.. the Linkin Park 1998 shirt. To be technical, LP really started in 1996/1997, just without Chester. The story goes that Chester got the Xero demo in the mail on his 23rd birthday, which would have been March 20, 1999. Weird. Maybe he got it earlier and he was wrong about it being his 23rd? Idk. I don't think Mike would label all those demos as 1998 if they weren't, since he picks and chooses all the demos we get for LPU himself.
