My thinking is that the LPC voicemail thing is a fan project that’s happening to coincide with the Meteora 20 celebration. We probably won’t hear anything new from that, but on the plus side tomorrow we’ll see (or perhaps even hear) something official from the band anyway.

Man, they really went all out on this one. Even more than Hybrid Theory… you have 4 unreleased live shows in video and 2 in audio, and Nottingham will have the 2 songs that we didn’t have previously. Shame it’s only on vinyl 😕and then you have the making of Meteora & perhaps a sequel to the making of Meteora. And the demos too… art book, sticker set, dear god.

The anticipation is killing me lol! Hope it gets announced in the next few days. Can’t wait to hear what these songs sound like. Interesting that they’re (potentially, if Martinez is correct) including a full Nottingham 03. Quality on the broadcast CD is killer. Wonder if we’ll get any video, and if so, of what? This is very exciting

We have a really nice 2 cam mix of the show, so while video would be cool, I’d prefer something unreleased completely. If I had to pick a show with collision course songs I’d pick the Roxy 04. SBD audio would be nice for MFR05 however.

Here’s my whole opinion on Mike and the NFT thing… I’m still a fan of his for what he did during the Post Traumatic cycle. I don’t quite understand the concept of NFTs in general but from what I gather / what I DO understand I’m not a fan of. It isn’t for me, whatever, I’m waiting for something that is. As long as he still releases music for free with the NFT art like he’s been doing (like Ziggurats, which was his best release in 2 years IMO) I’m really not gonna complain. I feel like everyone is taking this far more seriously than they need to, and I think the reason why is because we’re all waiting for something, ANYTHING about LP. Seriously, I don’t agree with it / don’t like it either, but pretty much everyone is doing it nowadays, I don’t see the need to act like Mike killed somebody over this, especially when he isn’t the only one doing it. I’m hurting for a new MS album / tour or LP news just as much as the rest of you, but I accept we probably need to wait awhile, again, whatever, I have plenty of things to keep me busy, both 20 years worth of back catalogue / live shows and other bands music. I’m confident it’ll all work out eventually, provided we all don’t blow each other up first.

I agree with this! YouTube compresses the videos. Always nice to have original files because it’s better quality.

I love love love this album and era… it helped me heal from Chester’s passing, as well as helping through personal stuff in my life the past 3 years. Honestly may not be here if it weren’t for this album cycle.

Not a fan of Happy Endings either, after HT20, the LP world seems dead. I’m excited for what we’re gonna be getting soon, Slash collab, and GD (even though I’m not a fan of the drama, but the music’s good and that’s what I try to focus on). But I REALLY REALLY hope LP makes an announcement soon about what they’re doing, I’m sure COVID put a wrench in their plans, so with things opening back up here in the US (as stupid as I think it is) I hope we’ll hear something from them soon.

This sounds awesome! Can’t wait to hear the full thing. Pretty cool of Talinda to approve it as well. This once again proves Chester could do anything, he always sounded good doing this style of music, but he was an incredibly versatile vocalist.

It is bullshit. Guy’s in over his head. He upped the price after Chester passed, you’re right, I think he wants $50K. Which makes the tapes impossible to obtain, unless one of us here at LPLive wins the lottery... really sad. I’d love to see it.

I like the Xero era a lot too. I wish we’d get some live footage from that era, that would be epic. Would be so interesting to see what the sets look like. I don’t think Mark Wakefield is as terrible as everyone makes him out to be either. He’s no Chester obviously, but then again 99% of singers aren’t Chester. I consider Mark a average singer. He’s not terrible IMO.

I like the idea of this thread! Download 04 would be a good one. In my mind the holy grail from that era would be a full PR04 show. Also something from PR03 as we only have 3 incomplete sources from that tour. Maybe Reading 03? There’s a lot of legendary tours from the Meteora cycle, so it would be harder to choose for that then Hybrid Theory. You also have the Japan 2006 shows, Live 8, MFR 05. So much.

He was part of the band’s history too... awful singer or not. I don’t think 3 songs is a lot. I’m personally looking forward to hearing Esaul with his vocals. I’m wondering if Mike’s verses are the same as the LPU11 demo or different.
