I remember you telling me (I think it was after Dallas) about how the set might look entirely different by “next year”, and now we’re at that point we talked about and honestly it kinda is. Really cool seeing how the sets have evolved over time as well.

There’s a difference between this and telling outright lies. Why do people actually think they’ve ‘forgotten’ or are trying to ‘erase’ Chester? Mike literally did 2 tributes to him in his hometown, is that not enough?! What do you want then dude? Them to plaster his face all over the venue every city they go to? I get it you miss him, I agree they wouldn’t be where they are without him. But in my mind we already had a Chester tribute tour and that was the Post Traumatic cycle. At some point you have to accept it. It’s been 8 years. Not 8 months. I said it before, and I’ll say it again. If anyone is still really mourning Chester they should really seek therapy, it’s not healthy or normal to be this obsessed about someone who’s been gone for 8 years.

This would be a reasonable request. Hopefully they do something like this, regardless we need something full Proshot live from this era besides the launch show and Brazil TV broadcast, in particular from this year, as the shows have been absolutely amazing (and miles above 2024).

Yeah, I’m doing good, a long hard road to get to where I’m at now. And honestly same. I wouldn’t be who I am as a person without Chester and without LP. While he’s gone on this earth, he lives on in our hearts, and I celebrate him by singing his songs at shows. the best part? The band has new life with Emily and Colin now, and we can actually celebrate him while also looking forward to a bright future for the band.

Show seemed awesome from what I’ve seen. I’m glad they mentioned Chester after all, now maybe people will finally shut up. (I doubt it) While I miss Chester and idolized him myself, and his death absolutely crushed me. I don’t want to say I’ve moved on, but I’ve accepted it. Here’s a personal story for you, just to show people where my journey with this has taken me on the last 8 years, because I feel it’s kinda relevant to this topic: July 20th, 2017 was and probably still always will be one of the worst days of my life. I don’t remember much of that time frame unfortunately, all I do remember is just straight up zoning out every day for about 8 months and not caring about life. The Post Traumatic cycle was very helpful in learning to start the process of acceptance. During this time as well, I actually went to therapy and one of the things I mentioned was Chester. He said something that stuck with me, he said “would Chester want you to be miserable?” Over time I’ve learned to heal and accept his passing. It’s not that I don’t miss him, of course I do, but I don’t need them to mention him at every single opportunity or show because I’m one of those people who it would open up old wounds for. I don’t need to be constantly reminded that he’s gone, because that fact sucks enough as is. I’d rather focus on the here and now, the band’s back, they’re absolutely crushing it a year in. Emily is not trying to replace Chester, and Mike’s not trying to “erase” him. Last night proved that. TL;DR Some people need therapy.

I mean $10 USD a year really isn’t bad for early entry and some of the other perks you get, that’s less than a meal at McDonald’s. but I do miss the older perks such as the CDs and meet and greets a lot. I understand about not bringing M&Gs back, but don’t understand about no new music for the LPU. Some of the demos from the new album that we saw on LPTV over this past year would’ve been really cool to release…

I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Wow. I’ve had such a great experience and a lot of fun this past year. Seeing the shows, meeting new friends, following the tour online, new recordings. All of it. I hope it continues for awhile… I had no idea how much I actually missed it all until they actually came back.

Awesome!!! So glad you had a great time! I really agree with you about the healing effect because how you described losing a giant part of you that you thought would never come back and the weight being lifted once seeing it in person is the exact same thing that happened to me.

Yeah man, I love this community. I’ve been here since THP era. Love it here, and love all of you guys. I agree with Fleur as well, it all just sucks. Especially because it should be a fun new thing. I agree with you as well that LYF would’ve been a great tribute.

My rant wasn’t directed towards you, it was more so towards the situation in general. It’s becoming extremely frustrating to read all the comments on socials and shit, to the point where I lashed out. Do I find it odd that they don’t mention Chester and try to distance themselves from that era? Of course I do. Do I blame them? Not really. Because the way I see it, they probably don’t want to be accused of milking him, because his toxic ass family has already said that. Do I wish they would mention him? Of course! It’s just so exhausting to me to see all the discourse about the band and the fighting between people over it all over the internet. It’s like, over the past few days I’ve thought once or twice “I wish they hadn’t come back” because of how exhausting it’s all been. It’s gotten to the point now where I can’t even listen to LP without thinking about everything. I really just wish the press would quit fanning the flames and that the people attacking the band would move on.
