From Zero Assai Obi Edition Translucent Magenta Vinyl
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Thank you! A good part of my collection was built between 2008 and 2013. It’s a bit unbelievable how much CD prices have gone up since then. Today, if you don’t buy directly from the seller and end up buying through a reseller, the item’s price triples. For example, The Emptiness Machine CD single was being sold for $10 at the shows, and now it’s $80 on eBay. These days, you have to be more precise about what you want to buy! -
From Zero Assai Obi Edition Translucent Magenta Vinyl
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
There are collectors dedicated to obtaining every version of the album, vinyls, CD singles, cassettes, etc. Most of these collectors have profiles on the lpcatalog website. I consider myself a collector and have nearly all the CD singles the band has released, with a total of 90 items, and I've already bought six different versions of From Zero. Just to give you an idea, the person with the most registered items currently has 1,716. You can be sure he will try to buy every available version of From Zero. -
Please, stop! I can’t keep spending on special editions of From Zero. 🤣 So far, there are 19 different versions of the album.

Yes, it turned out really cool. I think the fact that the song is very short and the dramatic tone they wanted to set in the video made it difficult to include some takes of the band playing.
-
Although I find this the simplest song released so far, this was the best music video. Excellent direction by Joe. I was quite impressed by Emily's performance, especially considering she's not an actress. The part with the argument in the car featured outstanding acting.

The festival tour in the U.S. is taking shape between April and May 2025. I’m curious to know if there will be any solo shows in between these festivals, as there's a long gap between Sick New World and Sonic Temple Fest, and we shouldn't have many other festivals in the U.S. and Canada during that time. A very interesting point is that performing at festivals increases the chances for professional streamings. I'm also curious to know if the band will have no shows between November and April, or if a tour in Europe or Asia will be announced during this period.

I agree that the song is a bit generic, but I don't think we can call it bad.

What were they selling there that day? Just the regular merch and the Emptiness Machine CD? So it wasn’t anything different from what was sold at the second show in Los Angeles. Those who were there that day should have had the opportunity to pre-order what was being sold on the website right then and there.

I found this to be the least interesting of the three songs, but it's still intriguing. It's hard to compare it to any other song, but it could fit into One More Light or Minutes to Midnight. I'm not sure if it will be as big a hit as the other two songs. Looking at it this way, their approach is very interesting. They could focus on making only songs similar to what people consider Linkin Park to maintain the idea that they are the same band.

I bought the cassette because it was limited, but I found it very disappointing that the color was sent randomly. This only makes it easier for scalpers who will sell to fans wanting to have all the colors.

Are you from UK?

It was an LPTV clearly aimed at selling the album variations, and that's no problem at all. I don't think the release of this LPTV interferes with the upcoming episodes in any way. In fact, if their intention was to sell those cassettes, congrats... They managed to convince me. I'm just waiting for the pre-sale to open!

I couldn't agree more with both of you.

It's incredible how the band's comeback has brought them attention they hadn't had in the last few years before the hiatus. Maybe the last time they were in the mainstream in a similar way was with the release of Minutes to Midnight. I don't think the band had any idea of the commercial success this comeback would cause either. I hope it's not just because of the novelty factor and that it lasts for a few years.

We're starting to see the first 2025 dates. Are there other festivals around the same time in the US to suggest they will do a festival tour? It's unlikely to imagine a festival show during an individual tour. I'm curious to know where they’ll start their tour next year, since it’s unlikely it will end up being just in April. Another thing... What an incredible lineup. Metallica, Linkin Park, Queens of the Stone Age, and Evanescence on the same day is unbelievable

I think we have some dates to add here. 1) A show at Stade de France, in Paris, in July 2025, as LPL itself announced on Instagram. This makes a lot of sense considering there are dates being speculated for Europe in July. 2) I would also add a possible show in Brazil in 2025, since Adam commented with Brazilian flags on an LPL post on Instagram talking about shows in 2025. This also makes a lot of sense with the speculations about Argentina and Chile for 2025, as well as the incredible demand for the two shows in São Paulo and possibly the frustrated plans for Rio de Janeiro in 2024.

Linkin Park Adding New Music to November Concerts
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
One thing I found interesting is him talking about the lasers. It seems like they'll stay despite the band dropping the use of the 360 stage in their upcoming shows. New songs will obviously be played at the next shows. I think everyone expected that. The question is whether they'll release the studio version before or not. -
Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Every international concert in Brazil ends up bringing a feeling of a unique opportunity to see that artist, even if they come almost every year. I think that in the US, Americans feel like it's just another show and they can go next time. -
You can remove the shows in Rio; they won’t happen. Rumors say the show was going to take place in Rio, but the G20 summit prevented it from happening.

Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Since Meteora, the band has performed a show for the album's release. This is the first time it’s happening outside the United States. In none of these opportunities was the release album played in its entirety. I even believe that many songs from the new album will be added to the set, even more than in release previous shows, to highlight the songs made for Emily's voice. However, it's unlikely that the album will be played in its entirety. Take the setlist from the last show and try to remove 11 songs without cutting the classics. -
Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
"Come to Brazil" is something very strong for Linkin Park fans, but it's something all artists mention when they perform here. The thing is, Brazilian fans are very "loud" on the internet. The level of engagement from the Brazilian audience with anything is amazing. The band is very loved here, but Brazil is a third-world country and very large. It's very complicated and expensive for a fan from the north of Brazil to travel to São Paulo for a show. Because it's difficult, many fans would wait for another opportunity to attend a show. With the band's return, I think a previously suppressed demand is now being fulfilled. -
Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil

Each situation is different. In this specific case, it seems that the second show was already confirmed, and they just wanted to make sure about the demand. There should have been a specific clause in the contract with the band and the stadium management to automatically confirm the second show. -
Linkin Park Adds Second Show in São Paulo, Brazil

The same happened with the shows in 2014. In 2012, a show was canceled due to low ticket sales. It wasn't just in 2017. -
