Live In São Paulo Film Soundtrack to accompany Unshatter Movie
LeonardoMF93 replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Obviously, Emily doesn't sing some parts of some songs because she can't reach the right note. But that's not really a problem. The older songs were not written for her, and she performs most of them very very very well. In fact, this technique of letting the crowd sing certain parts of a song isn't even noticed by most people in the audience. Only those of us who follow every show (which is probably about 0.1% of the audience) notice it. We forget that these shows are planned for a single night, not to be followed from show to show like we do. That's why the fact that she skips some parts is barely noticed by the vast majority of the audience. They go to that one show, enjoy it, and then move on without following the rest of the tour. -
Live In São Paulo Film Soundtrack to accompany Unshatter Movie

I talked with Adam before the second show in São Paulo, and he assured me that they were not recording the second night. That's curious, because they wore the exact same outfits as they did the previous night, which doesn't really make sense if they weren't filming. That said, some filming equipment was indeed absent on the second day, such as the drone, for example. -
Live In São Paulo Film Soundtrack to accompany Unshatter Movie

It's really cool to know that the content produced in São Paulo 2024 won't be lost. That way, we don't have to worry about the LP Live team having to track it down 20 years from now. 😂 Personally, I have a few reservations about this show, even though I enjoyed it a lot on the day, but it's undoubtedly a historic performance. -
LYON POP-UP Limited Merch, Exclusive From Zero Vinyl Variant
LeonardoMF93 replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
One thing wasn't clear to me. Is this vinyl record another version of the Deluxe Edition? Now do we have 4 different versions of the Deluxe Edition? -
Something like that 😄

I also thought it was unlikely, but that’s what many people were saying in the line. I think that if Brad didn’t play at LOL or at the Champions League, he probably won’t play anymore. People were definitely talking about it, though. Well-known fans who travel all over the world to attend the shows were speculating about it during the Early Entry.
-
I have a friend at the show and something's going on. The Early Entry has been waiting a long time to get in because the band is doing soundcheck. Brad is on site. They're suspecting he might play something tonight. Looks like Brad is doing soundcheck with them. People in line are suspecting that either he's gonna play or they're gonna play an unreleased song.

The idea isn’t that bad, but wouldn’t that make them lose market value? When you make a move like that, you signal to the market that there’s a strong chance that on the eve of a show you might not have your vocalist. I think that ends up lowering the band’s booking fee, because it makes them seem like a risky asset. At the same time, I think it would be very difficult for a festival to accept that. Imagine the day before Rock am Ring the band informing the producers that only Mike will perform. That would look bad for the band. Not to mention that saying Emily is the one who’s sick would end up bringing those stupid comments like: “I said she wasn’t good enough to replace Chester. She gets sick trying to sing Chester’s songs.” Until now, there have been two cancellations in a year and a half. If this keeps happening, that risk will become even more evident in the market. They need to reduce the number of shows. There were too many shows in Australia because there was a planning mistake (booking arenas instead of stadiums). Then they got greedy and added more shows. There were also too many shows in Latin America, with very long travel distances between them. The next tour needs to have half the number of shows that the From Zero Tour had.

I know this isn’t the main topic, but since people mentioned Rob here, I think it’s interesting to talk about it. Has anyone noticed that Colin is constantly wearing a Music for Relief bandana from 2012, which they gave to some fans at shows back then? Since that project basically ended and it’s something so old, I see it as a quiet tribute from Colin to Rob, since Rob was perhaps the band member most responsible for Music for Relief. IMAGE: About Rob himself, I still think this clash of opinions is mostly the result of his silence. I don’t see a problem with him retiring and disappearing. I just think that when the band came back, he should have released a short note explaining that he decided not to continue for personal reasons. That alone would have avoided all this debate. Now we’re going to be stuck with these theories forever.

It’s funny how With You is a song the band always forgets and later remembers for their setlists. I really think With You will eventually come back, especially now that the shows are longer. It would be perfect to rotate in at some concerts.

The Rising Tied would have enough material for a 20th anniversary box set. But now, besides Mike’s lack of interest because he wants to promote Linkin Park’s new phase, I wonder if there’s any content we still don’t know about. We got some Special Editions released in 2023, which seemed like a way to put out those B-sides before Linkin Park came back years later.

Linkin Park Billboard Spotted in Bangalore, India
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
Before that, Adam had already liked some posts about the photo, which made it clear it was real. I just didn’t have time to comment here afterwards. As a lawyer, I can say that for someone to be sued, they have to be located. 🤣 Anyway, I’m really happy that Linkin Park is giving attention to a country with such a strong market. What an incredible day! Grammy nominations, a new show in India, Brazilian fans taking photos with Colin and Emily in São Paulo... -
Linkin Park Billboard Spotted in Bangalore, India

I might be wrong, but this artwork hasn’t been used by the band yet, right? The other billboards all shared the same artwork, right? This one is different from the others we had seen. Isn’t there a chance that it was a fan trying to get the band’s attention and we’re interpreting it the wrong way? I also find it curious that Lollapalooza didn’t sign an exclusivity contract for a band that has been highly wanted in the country for years. Let’s hope it’s a new show for India. -
It’s unbelievable that a band as popular as LP has only two Grammys. I hope these nominations do them justice, because few songs and albums were talked about as much last year as The Emptiness Machine and From Zero.

Thanks! It’s really annoying, but unfortunately these things can happen. I just got back to Brazil and I’m ready for the next two shows! Again, thanks for your kind words.

In recent years, many shows have stopped happening exclusively in Rio and São Paulo. In fact, Rio is no longer one of the main cities in Brazil for concerts. As for crime, that’s a false assumption. For example, according to statistics, Porto Alegre is actually more dangerous than Rio, with a considerably higher homicide rate. At the same time, Rio and Curitiba are basically tied in that regard. Anyway, I don’t think it really makes sense to keep discussing crime rates in a Linkin Park forum. I only brought up that information to correct something that was inaccurate.

I’m really sad. I flew from Calgary to Curitiba on the 3rd, but an old lady felt unwell, and we had to land in Oklahoma. Because of that, I missed my connections and won’t get to the show on time. 😔 Now I can only go to the ones in São Paulo and Brasília.

World Tour 2025, Part 12 [LPTV FROM ZERO: Episode 37]
LeonardoMF93 replied to martinez's topic in Newswire
Second time I show up on an LPTV! 😎 I appeared at 8:24 in the video holding the Canadian flag, during the transition from the Vancouver to the Seattle footage. Now, who knows, maybe I’ll show up on LPTV at one of the shows in Brazil? 😛 -
It seemed there were some structural and organizational issues at the place where the show is going to happen. That’s why there was some uncertainty about whether the show would go on as planned. Adam had already addressed to reassure fans that the people in charge were aware of the situation and working on it.

Last year’s show in Colombia was really tough. Besides the technical issues, it was clear that Emily was struggling with the altitude and the lack of oxygen. I hope they don’t face the same problems this year, but unfortunately it seems the issues started even before the show began, with the problem involving the venue.

Linkin Park Show in Buenos Aires Airing on Flow TV
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
It was probably not the band’s choice. The channel likely made a money offer to broadcast it, and the band accepted. -
Linkin Park Show in Buenos Aires Airing on Flow TV
LeonardoMF93 replied to LPLStaff's topic in Newswire
This is a rumor that’s been going around on Instagram in the past few weeks, and it finally got confirmed! I wouldn’t be surprised if this year’s show in São Paulo also gets broadcast on Brazilian TV. About the 2024 show videos, I think it’s pretty much certain they won’t be released. If the plan was to launch them in theaters in 2025, we’re already getting close to the end of the year with no news, and the shows are starting to feel outdated. It’s a shame, because those two shows were the best ones out of the six I’ve been to since last year. It was truly a collective catharsis. -
I don’t know much about Argentina and Colombia, but Morumbis usually hosts a lot of international concerts. Almost one international show per month, and it always works well (although Allianz Parque is better). About the game, when this happens, São Paulo FC usually plays in another stadium. It’s important to remember that São Paulo is one of the most indebted clubs in Brazil and depends a lot on the income from renting Morumbis to cover its costs. I wouldn’t be worried about the concert in São Paulo. The CBF probably scheduled the game at Morumbis only as a temporary plan, and the location will be adjusted later. Detail: It’s important to remember that the football season in Brazil runs from January to December, stopping only for about 20 days at the end and beginning of the year. There will always be games throughout the whole year. The Brazilian football calendar is very packed.

Well, after a very exhausting week, I finally have time to write what I thought about these last two shows (not sure if anyone is actually interested in hearing my point of view as well). I took a flight from Brazil to Vancouver and Seattle just to see the last two shows of the tour. In Vancouver, I was right at the barricade, while my girlfriend and I were photographed the entire show since we were the only ones in the arena with a Canadian flag (my girlfriend is Canadian). We even ended up on Mike’s and Joe’s Instagram. In Seattle, I was up in the stands. Interestingly, I had infinitely more fun at the Seattle show, even though I was further away. The Canadian crowd was really unenthusiastic (and honestly, the American crowd isn’t exactly the most energetic either). Seattle also had some light effects I hadn’t seen in last year’s shows. Nobody’s Listening was also amazing. Completely unexpected. Aside from that, the shows were pretty much what I expected. Nothing too special. Now, time for a well-deserved break until the three shows in Brazil in November!

Honestly, the LPU lost a lot of its importance with the band’s return. Back then we had M&Gs, chats, exclusive shirts, forums, etc. Now it’s just a way to get ticket presales and Early Entry. Btw, in the past Early Entry was available to all LPU members. Now, at some shows, Early Entry registration ends in seconds. One phenomenal thing they created for the LPU on this tour was the LPU Pit at shows and unbelievably, now that’s also being sold to non-members. The LPU is terrible. The website is bad. The band didn’t want to release more LPU CDs while Chester was still alive. If I’m not mistaken, the LPUX CD only came out because the community kept complaining. It’s no surprise that they finally decided to abandon the CD project in this new phase, at the same time they’re trying to shift some of the attention away from the old lineup and onto the current one.
