I agree 100%. After Linkin Park changed their style from Hybrid Theory and Meteora, many fans stopped listening (if we can even call them fans). More fans left after A Thousand Suns. For me, The Rising Tied and Minutes to Midnight did well because of the hype from Hybrid Theory and Meteora. But I still think these two albums are excellent.

I didn't say the album wasn't successful in sales. What I meant was that The Rising Tied was less popular than Hybrid Theory, Meteora, and Minutes to Midnight. I was comparing it to those three albums!

Indeed, the compilation existed before, but the videos themselves were published today on Linkin Park's YouTube channel. It might not mean anything, but I found it curious, especially since they’ve mentioned wanting to add From the Inside to the setlist.

No doubt the album would be completely different if the band, especially Chester, had been involved. It was just an exercise of imagination. A tour with Jay-Z would have been a massive commercial success in 2005, indeed.

The band just uploaded videos of Powerless and From the Inside on YouTube. Kind of random. Could it be a hint that they might make it into the setlist?

The only reason The Rising Tied didn't achieve the same success as those three albums you mentioned is that it wasn't released as a Linkin Park album. Imagine Chester singing some of the songs and it being marketed as a Linkin Park album. It might have ended up being the third most important album in the band's discography due to a potential massive commercial success. That's why I find it very naive when people on social media say that Linkin Park should have come back under a different name. The Linkin Park brand is huge, and The Rising Tied is an example of that because it's one of the best albums we have, yet it's not as widely remembered outside of our fan community.

As I mentioned earlier in another thread, I think these anniversary editions were only released because of the band's hiatus. I have my doubts if they would want to release something similar, considering they are focused on From Zero. However, our chances might improve because when The Rising Tied turns 20, From Zero will already be over a year old, and the tour will have ended (based on the announced dates). So, I believe we have a small but real possibility. What I find amazing about Fort Minor is that there’s so much material for a project that only had one album. Besides that, the songs left out of the album are just as good as the ones that made it in. Without a doubt, Fort Minor is my favorite side project, and could have a really cool box set.

No doubt! Artists like Blink, Wu Tang Clan, and MGK, when paired with LP, would attract a larger audience, capable of filling big arenas. I understand what you're saying, but it's rare for artists of the level of Blink, Wu Tang Clan, and MGK to perform as supporting acts or as co-headliners for another artist in South America. Such acts usually only "meet" in festivals like Rock in Rio or Lollapalooza. Performing in South America is extremely expensive due to logistics. A ticket for a show at the level of Linkin Park costs R$ 800,00 (130 USD) in Brazil. If you bring an international artist of Blink's level, the promoter will have to pay a new fee and other costly expenses unique to Latin America, without being able to increase the ticket price much. For these reasons, I have my doubts about whether there will be demand for four or five big shows in Brazil. Maybe they will start by announcing in larger arenas and change the venue if the sales aren't going well. In the end, I hope you're right.

The shows are announced and confirmed. There is just no confirmation yet about the venues where they will take place. There is no information about this, but in Brazil, it’s usually small Brazilian artists who perform as opening acts for international artists. In rare cases, some major national artists open the show, such as Charlie Brown Jr. opening for Linkin Park in São Paulo in 2012, but this has become less common over the years. I see no possibility of an opening act featuring a major artist (national or international) with significant appeal that could attract more demand to what Linkin Park would generate on its own. If it’s an international artist, Live Nation would have to spend unnecessarily. If it’s a national artist, there aren’t many Brazilian rock bands with significant appeal at the moment.

In terms of content, MTM should really have more interesting things. The interest in ATS is something personal. It’s my favorite album, and I really like its visual art.

Yes, it makes sense. I think it also depends a lot on what they’ll be doing in 2027. If there’s an album planned for 2027, I think the chances are practically zero, but I hope I’m wrong. I believe Minutes to Midnight must be an album with a lot of interesting content to be shared. I think they’re not even thinking about it at the moment. Honestly, I’m more excited to see an A Thousand Suns 20th-anniversary edition than anything else. That would be really interesting too! Well, their plan worked. They "grabbed" a lot of my money. 🤣

Do you guys really think the band will ever be interested in releasing old demos after the lineup change? I’d love to see those demos, but I think, commercially speaking, it wouldn’t make sense for them to focus on the old lineup. In my opinion, the HT20 and Meteora20 releases only happened because of the hiatus. After all, those could have been released on the 10th anniversary of those albums. Well... Let’s see what happens for the 20th anniversary of Minutes to Midnight. I think the only chance of those demos seeing the light of day is if they somehow get leaked. Until then, I hope Jeff takes good care of those CDs. Best possible description.

I know, it wasn’t a big deal. Honestly, it would be weird for Mike to make a harsh comment about someone’s work. I just shared how I saw it. No need to keep saying what I think since I already wrote it here.

It’s not the first time Mike has commented on the tribute band, and I found it curious that he mentioned it spontaneously. The fact is, Mike seems too polite to criticize anyone in front of the cameras, but I’ve never seen him make a comment genuinely praising their work. Whenever asked, he avoids responding directly. This comment about the vocalist being a doppelganger of Chester comes across as either a critique or discomfort within this whole context, even if it wasn’t his intention. It’s worth noting that when Mike was directly asked about them previously, he said they were good, but in a rather awkward way. He ended by saying very politely that an artist should aim to create new things, learn from other artists, and strive to do better. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think he hates this cover band, especially because he could easily put an end to their work if he wanted to. I just think it’s more about a sense of discomfort. What’s curious is the fact that he mentioned he could invite the vocalist to the band. It makes it clear that he has been following their social media, as many people have suggested this. Even so, this interview is excellent for this to be the only point of discussion.

Did I get it wrong? Did you guys listen to Ashes, Deftest, and Turn to Grey? How would you describe these versions of those demos to us? I'm really curious! Jeff seems like an amazing person and probably the biggest collector of pre-Hybrid Theory items. He must have more stuff than the band itself. I'm looking forward to more details about this meeting, and it was really cool of you to wait for the hype around From Zero to settle before talking more about this.

Do you think so? Ok, they could add an extra show in São Paulo on the 11th and have a rest day before playing in Brasília on the 13th. It makes sense. Another factor we need to consider is demand. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not sure there will be enough demand for four shows in large stadiums in Brazil. I think Live Nation misinterpreted the demand in November 2024 since the fact that those were the first shows after the comeback boosted sales. I hope I'm wrong.

There are already rumors about the venues where the band will perform in other Brazilian cities: São Paulo: MorumBIS Stadium (capacity of 80,000 people) Rio de Janeiro: Rio 2016 Olympic Park Brasília: Mané Garrincha Stadium (72,000 people) Porto Alegre: Arena do Grêmio (55,000 people) Regarding Rio de Janeiro, it is unclear whether the shows will take place in the outdoor area of the Rio 2016 Olympic Park (which hosts up to 100,000 people during Rock in Rio) or in one of the local arenas. The most likely scenario is that the show will be held at Farmasi Arena, which accommodates 18,000 people. If the Rio de Janeiro show is indeed held inside Farmasi Arena, it could be the only show in Brazil with a 360º stage. As for the show at MorumBIS Stadium, it’s a historic event. Returning to the venue of their first Brazilian concert 21 years later would be legendary, but the stadium is now outdated, despite being larger than Allianz Parque, where the band performed in November 2024. Ideally, the shows would remain at Allianz, but issues with Palmeiras (the club that owns the stadium) led Live Nation to sign the deal with MorumBIS instead. Another interesting fact is that the stadium is currently called MorumBIS, not Morumbi. The name was changed due to naming rights agreements. I don’t believe there will be additional dates in Brazil. Extra dates are typically added in São Paulo, but there’s no room for that this time. The only exception was an additional date added in Rio de Janeiro in 2012, which was more a consequence of the cancellation of a show in Curitiba due to low ticket sales.

It would be amazing, but it makes much more sense to have a performance at the next Olympics since they will be in Los Angeles. Could the performance really be during halftime? Usually, performances at soccer finals happen before the game, since halftime is practically the only break for advertisements. From what I researched, the performances last year were before the game.

Mike traveled to Japan to record a video for YouTube to promote Already Over. 😅 Not to mention the various trips only to promote albums at the time of their releases, without performing any shows. In terms of publicity, I think performing at the Champions League final is huge. It's definitely worth making a round trip just for that performance.

I’ve said this here before, and I’ll say it again: I think this is the band’s most commercially successful moment! I also believe it must be their most profitable period, even more so than the Hybrid Theory and Meteora eras. The rumors about performances at the Champions League final and the Super Bowl are unprecedented for the band. This is truly incredible! I never thought I’d see Linkin Park reach this level of popularity again. I can only imagine how excited Dave must be to perform at the final, considering he’s such a huge soccer fan.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think with the release of From Zero, we shouldn’t expect many songs from previous albums to be added to the setlist. I believe the band will focus on setlists featuring songs created for Emily’s voice and their major hits. That way, I think almost the entire From Zero will be performed live throughout 2025. I really hope to see Cut the Bridge. One thing they could take advantage of is including songs originally sung by Mike, such as No Roads Left, In Between, Hands Held High, and Sorry for Now. I would also love for the band to make an effort over the coming years to play all the songs from their main albums that have never been performed live. However, I find that quite unlikely. I’d also love to see With You, Forgotten, By Myself, Step Up, and Victimized/QWERTY. That said, I think many of these songs are almost impossible to expect. What I really hope for, though, is for the band to do something they’ve hardly ever done in their career: make each show unique, changing the songs and the order, just like Pearl Jam does. Following so many shows in 2025 will be tiring if they only have three setlists that change just two songs between them.
