2024.11.11 - Bogotá, Colombia (Coliseo Medplus)
LeonardoMF93 replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Thank you! This weekend, it will be a tie 🤣 Aside from various and different technical problems, Emily really felt the effects of the high altitude. My Brazilian friends and I, who aren't used to it, also struggled. It’s a bizarre situation—you try to take a breath, and it just doesn’t come. I have a photo of the setlist and Emily’s guitar pick in case you need them for any record. More to come this weekend!!!😎 -

It’s going to be amazing! After a 5-hour flight, I’m in Colombia for my second show of the tour! I was also selected for Early Entry! Next week, I’ll still be at both shows in Brazil! It’s going to be incredible! -

Yes! Even if it's just as an introduction to the original version. -
'Casualty' World Premiere + 'All For Nothing' Live Debut in Dallas
LeonardoMF93 replied to RogueSoul's topic in Newswire
Casualty seems like it’s going to be a fan favorite, even though it won’t become a single. Something similar happened with A Place For My Head. Honestly, it sounded like a Slipknot song in some parts. Now, I think the live version of All For Nothing was underwhelming. It wasn’t the band’s fault, but I didn’t like Page Hamilton’s performance (it seemed like he was having some technical issues). -
The quality of Multishow’s broadcasts is always very good. As for being streamed on YouTube, I don’t think so. For those outside Brazil, I recommend subscribing to Globoplay, which costs 4 dollars per month just to watch and then cancel when the show is over. I believe those living outside Brazil will be able to watch without any issues, as the platform is widely used by Brazilians living abroad.

The Brazilian channel Multishow and the streaming platform Globoplay will broadcast Linkin Park's concert live from São Paulo, at the Allianz Parque stadium, on November, 15th. It is important to highlight that this concert will take place on the same day as the release of the album From Zero, which might mean new songs in the setlist. The confirmation was made by the channel itself on its website. This channel has previously broadcasted some of the Linkin Park concerts in Brazil, including: Itu in 2010; São Paulo in 2012; and Belo Horizonte in 2014. There is no information yet about international broadcasts. This will be the first professional broadcast since the live stream announcing the band’s return.

2024.11.03 - Nanterre, France (Paris La Défense Arena)

About the recordings not doing it justice, I completely agree! That was the moment I was 100% convinced she was the best choice. Given Up and Keys to the Kingdom were the key moments for me. With those two songs, it was clear that she can easily sing anything in their discography. I even dream of the band putting in the effort to play every song ever released on the main albums, making up for the “debts” they still have with Living Things, The Hunting Party, and One More Light. Still, I think with the release of From Zero, a lot of deep cuts will be taken off the setlist. -
Alright, man! If you didn’t intend to be offensive, I owe you an apology. Now, if you did intend to, I hope you reconsider. About my culture, I’m Brazilian. We normalize practically everything, especially natural things. I just thought you crossed the line a bit, but again, forgive me if offending Emily wasn’t your intention. Good point! Sometimes it’s even hard to believe it’s not playback 🤣, which obviously isn’t the case. It’s a very interesting situation, since Chester also always had a live performance very close to the studio version. Congrats to Mike for choosing Emily.

I think that because it’s a slightly more formal presentation, she needs to behave. Likewise, I think it might be a mix of her still trying to understand her own role in the band, and maybe even an intentional choice so that it doesn’t seem like she’s trying to stand out from the rest of the band, especially since Linkin Park has never been a band with members doing such wild things on stage. Completely disrespectful of you. You need to have more respect and manners.

So, they broadcasted for this award a proshot of The Emptiness Machine from the show in Korea. No complaints here! I think it’s better than a studio-recorded performance. -
You should make it available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. It would be easier to listen.

You brought up an idea I’ve thought about before: could we get another LPU CD? I don’t think so. I think it doesn’t make sense nowadays to release material only in physical format just for the fan club. One possibility would be for them to release these same songs on streaming platforms and keep the physical version exclusive for the LPU. Another detail is that, although they've done this a few times, they don’t usually release unreleased songs through the LPU. If I had to guess, I’d say it’ll be something close to what you mentioned: isolated songs that weren’t included in From Zero for 2025, the next album is scheduled for 2026, and MTM: Deluxe will be in 2027.
-
You're right! Living Things and The Hunting Party have great songs, but they're not as musically cohesive. Those were exactly the two albums from the period when they mentioned they’d like to make more albums. Despite this possible rush, we still have some really good songs on those albums and even more material recorded by Chester. Considering all that, I really think they understand that they don’t need to release a new album next year. I hope they let the hype of From Zero settle instead of trying to release another album right afterward. I agree with you that these recordings are likely for individual songs for the next year, or the start of an album recording process for late 2026 or 2027.
-
I think we can now say with certainty that the shows in Argentina and Chile will not happen in November 2024 due to the proximity of the dates.
-
Yes, I agree with you. We don’t really know what these recordings are. They could be working on something entirely new or finishing something they started during the production process for From Zero. I also think Mike isn’t going to keep releasing multiple EPs. He likes to treat each album as something unique, and that’s a concept that’s hard to pull off with only six songs. At this point, everything is just speculation. We should remember that between A Thousand Suns and One More Light, they were averaging an album release every two years. Could they possibly be starting the production of a new album for 2026? If we consider that release timeframe and the news that they’ll be on a heavy tour next year, it’s possible that they’re already getting ahead with the production of the new album, which might still be a while before it’s actually released.
-
I think it wouldn't make much commercial sense to release a second album in 2025, since From Zero is gaining a lot of attention from the press and the public. It would be more interesting to continue promoting the album with tours and releasing the singles gradually. Maybe the songs they are currently working on will be released as individual singles, or perhaps they will be used in connection with another entertainment product, like New Divide was with Transformers.

Thank you! It was really lucky! I was running late because I was exploring LA and visiting tourist spots. 🤣 After spending all my money on shirts and hoodies at a merch booth, I happened to come across one that still had the CD. I got really lucky.😎 The show was truly spectacular. Honestly, the energy reminded me a lot of the shows we have here in South America. -

I didn’t know they sold them at the shows in Europe and Korea. Thanks for the information. At the show on the 11th in Los Angeles, there was one of the merch booths where they sold the CD for quite a while. For example, I bought my CD at 7 pm, while the gates opened an hour before. -

Thank you for the update! 😎 I know we’re getting a bit off-topic here, but I’m really curious about how this CD started being sold on Amazon Germany if supposedly only a few units were produced for the two shows in Los Angeles and New York. -

Ok, now I’m really surprised. First, the price is excellent. Second, I’ve never seen anyone mention that Amazon Germany was selling the CD. The amazing thing is that it’s not a marketplace reseller, but Amazon itself.
