Its such a shame that The Wildabouts are leaving just about nothing behind. Their guitarist died in March, their bassist was just arrested, and Scott has passed away. This seemed like a final chance to get his act together, but ultimately, Scott wasn't fooling anyone, but himself. R.I.P. The positive is that people will remember him for the early days, and not the recent.

Considering his videos have been dragging, we'll probably end up seeing the live performance in like 6 months.... -

I know we hear Chester's playback vocals in the final chorus, but we can also hear his live voice clearly. Makes me happy that he can actually sing that portion amazingly. The song itself really isn't bad live at all. Sounds way better than ALTNC live. -
Regardless of what you're stating, there were legal matters that had to be dealt with for them to take ownership. They definitely asked us for our permission via contract form to distribute the album. The emails and paperwork Lorenzo sent out stated that in order for them to distribute the album, we all needed to sign the added contract, granting them permission to do what they'd like with it, but also stating we'd receive no royalties for Viscera, as well as additional notes on assigning all ownership rights over to them. Obviously some level of work belonged to them, musically speaking, but a large chunk of the remixes were made from scratch. That, alongside said artwork, title, etc are the reasons why the band would not be able to freely distribute the songs as they pleased, no matter how they chose to give it out to the LPU.

Lol, weird, he just commented on one of my covers on soundcloud. So random.

That's some real magic right there...

Really hope we get a full version of Darker Than Blood live. The one that LP is playing on tour right now sucks. -
Do you even realize that this didn't even last 2 years? Chester clearly states that he always found himself falling short between his family, LP, or STP so one had to go, that's how he was forced to pick, not from a literal aspect. Chester doesn't ever state anywhere in his message that he wanted to leave STP, that's just unprofessional assumption from you. He pulled it off as long as he could, but it was short lived because timing didn't work out. You mention DBS, BOW, and Camp Freddy, but you fail to notice that Camp Freddy is a very quick gig that Mike even participated in and not some full blown tour that Chester is following everyday, BOW was super short run during a time that LP was taking an extended time on working MTM, and DBS is a result that came from 5 years of work, there was no rush to release Out of Ashes because MTM and ATS were also rolling out at a slow pace. Julien K certainly had no set deadlines or pressures to give Chester because they were just working on their very first album, where as STP has been around for many years and were already hoping to release a new album with an October release date. I brought up THP, MALL, DOWNLOAD, and the band's touring because of how much Chester was able to contribute, I'm not here to argue about what he did and didn't down to the bone, and why even bring up LPU? Of course Chester has little to nothing to do with that. "And yeah, Mike and the rest of LP can write music without Chester if they need to. But what if Chester WANTS to be part of it? He loves LP, he should be able to make music with them whenever he wants to. It's not a fans decision what he does." Honestly, where do you pull these assumptions from? No shit Chester loves LP, but there isn't anyone denying him of being a part of LP. You're just putting words into other people's mouths.

Wtf are you blabbing about? I honestly don't understand such stupid mentalities like this one. Its clear from the message that Chester did this for his Wife and kids. Linkin Park will of course be a given because its where he began. If he had more time on his hands, there is no doubt he'd go back to STP. This isn't about concentrating on "bigger and better" things. This is about putting his family first so that he doesn't slip away from them. We've seen that while he spent time recording and performing with STP, Chester and the rest of LP still managed to put out The Hunting Party, Mall Soundtrack, Download fest audio, an amazing tour for THP, etc etc. Him stating that he'll put 100% effort is only because he's essentially been forced to part ways with STP. Its clear that whether he's there now or later, the final product will come out as intended.

This can't be exaggerated enough. I saw them back in April and I can hands down say that's in my top 3 favorite shows of all time. The energy coming from that performance was unreal. The crowd I was surrounded by was amazing too. They were there for the music, whether Chester was singing it or Scott. Everything was perfect. If you missed the opportunity, it really is a big shame.

I know there will be a few demos to blow me away but as it stands, all I've ever really wanted was Chester's take on No Roads Left.

Guess I'm in the minority that actually liked the Aoki collab tracks and bits of Recharged. I'm all in for a full EDM LP album. That might not be the case, but it would be awesome.

Relief Live: Linkin Park & Friends (Honoring Steve Aoki)
Broman replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
I'm sure that mindset is part in why they wouldn't bother doing something special for HT, because its nothing more than nostalgia for people to preach about and later bash all their other work. I highly doubt they forgot, its pretty much clear that LP is just much more focused on the future, working on their 7th album and side projects. Its no secret that they no longer care to look back at their Nu-metal days, and Hybrid Theory was over 15 years ago for them (obviously they spent years before refining it), so what would be the point other than fan service for their shitty nu-metal fanbase? Apart from their live acts, LP have pretty much done whatever they personally wanted with their careers, so I wouldn't bother asking for a Meteora reunion either. -
2015.07.26 - Beijing, China (+ Livestream)
Broman replied to RogueSoul's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Lol, did you watch the stream or skim through? Chester does not scream like that these days. He usually does MUCH better. That ALITS was weak. Chester was practically singing/yelling the screaming portions near the final chorus. OSC, FTI, BIO, bridges all just lacking energy completely. Its clear he's either sick, tired, uninterested, or just out of it. -
Considering these guys say things just for the sake of, I'd rather want proof rather than claims without support, especially for something they never even said.
-
Chester never claimed the band rehearsed IBG. If you watch the Chat again, he just says, "we're gonna start playing that pretty soon actually".
